Which household kitchen appliances built-in is better. Built-in kitchen appliances. Choosing the size of the refrigerator: standard and unusual solutions

It takes ~3 minutes to read

Previously, kitchen appliances were considered luxury items. Every year the need of people is growing, more and more various devices are required to help in the household. Today, kitchen appliances are a necessity. We can no longer imagine our life without a microwave, a mixer ... And even without a refrigerator and a stove even more so. Such a variety of devices sometimes introduces a person into confusion. Understanding all the functions and intricacies of kitchen appliances is necessary. This will ensure a comfortable life and will not make you regret the money spent.

It is worth deciding what you really need in the kitchen. It makes no sense to buy equipment that you will never use. For example, you do not need to buy a waffle iron, pancake maker, bread machine if you do not like flour. It is better not to follow the thought: “suddenly it will come in handy later.” Most often, such rash purchases do not justify themselves in the future.

Style and design are undeniably important for modern kitchen appliances. It is important that it matches your interior in terms of color. It did not stand out, but harmoniously combined with the furniture. Therefore, the technique can be chosen already at the stage of arranging the interior of the kitchen, if possible.

Large kitchen appliances

The first place in the list of large household appliances for the kitchen is the refrigerator. It is not surprising, because it ensures the safety of the most necessary for us - food. Manufacturers constantly offer new models, adding new features: sound signals, automatic defrosting, blowing.

Refrigerators come in several sizes:

  1. Small (~120×50cm). Suitable for country house, office, hotel.
  2. Mini-bars (~80×50cm). They are mainly used to preserve the freshness of drinks and fruits.
  3. Standard (~180×60cm). Buy owners of cottages and apartments of small area.
  4. Medium. They have a small height, but they are wide (~ 170 × 80 cm). Suitable for the same rooms as standard European refrigerators.
  5. Large (~200×60cm). Better buy in big houses and spacious apartments.

Oven. There are electric and gas. It's hard to say which is better because it depends on several factors. First, if your home has gas, then an electric oven can raise your electricity bill. In this case, the choice is obvious. Secondly, electric ovens have more convenient functionality ( different modes heating, including convection). Some ovens include useful features such as a temperature sensor, a timer, quick preheat options, auto-off, defrost, and even several pre-programmed recipes.

The stovetop is an essential part of any kitchen. Depending on the heating method, they are divided into 3 groups:

  • gas;
  • electric;
  • combined.

Another classification - according to the method of location and installation in the kitchen:

  • built-in (combined with a countertop, cabinet and other furniture);
  • separately located (the most common);
  • portable (installed on the table, often do not have an oven, more suitable for giving).

Microwave. This invention has been saving people for many years due to its speed of heating food and ease of use. Especially often used by residents of megacities who are in constant motion and in a hurry.

For those who are still thinking of buying it or replacing it with a new one, we recommend that you pay attention to microwave ovens combined with an oven. This will save space and get a completely versatile device.

Dishwasher. Probably everyone dreams of this device. The only deterrent to the acquisition is the large size of the equipment. The main advantages: saving water consumption, quick cleaning of large volumes of dishes from dirt and microorganisms and, of course, more free time for your favorite things.

Embedded technology

Embedded appliances - one might say, a novelty in the field of interior design. It allows a person to create a unique kitchen design. There are many implementation options. In addition, it is more comfortable in such a kitchen. What appliances are usually built into furniture?

  1. Plate. Comprises hob with burners and oven. These elements are built into the furniture separately. If you are not confident in your own abilities, it is better to seek help from a specialist. Please read the instructions carefully when installing yourself. Most likely, the option of the built-in installation of the stove will be described there.
  2. Fridge. Surprisingly, even such a large unit can be built into kitchen furniture. Moreover, any shape and size: two-chamber with a freezer, single-chamber, french door. Most often, the refrigerator is combined with a cabinet, but it can also be placed under the countertop, if the size allows.
  3. Dishwasher. Can be built in completely or partially. In the first case, the panel elements are hidden under a decorative door. With partial embedding, all buttons are located on the front.
  4. Microwave ovens, steamers, coffee machines can also be built in.

It is worth noting that all of the above household appliances for the kitchen are the same in terms of functionality with free-standing models, i.e. have the same set of features and capabilities. The only difference is the installation method.

Small kitchen appliances

Small appliances for the kitchen are now undergoing a stage active development. There are a huge number of new devices for cooking. But there are already recognized, the most useful devices.

Multicooker. Has become a real "queen" among small kitchen appliances. It can be compared to an electric saucepan equipped with many useful functions. She can boil, fry, bake, stew and steam. The principle of operation is as simple as possible: put all the necessary ingredients, select the desired mode. The multicooker will do the rest.

sandwich maker. We all know that sandwiches are not a very healthy food. However, sometimes you want to treat yourself to a hot delicacy of fresh bread, meat and vegetables. The sandwich maker is not limited to making sandwiches. It can be used as a waffle iron or grill.

crepe maker. Slavs are used to eating pancakes, so it is not surprising that pancakes are in demand. It is indispensable in a restaurant or cafe, as everything needs to be cooked quickly. In families, pancake is increasingly common. The principle of operation at all temperatures, not allowing it to rise above the norm.

electric grill- an indispensable technique for home barbecue. Allows you to cook fish, meat, steaks, vegetables of the desired roasting. There are several types: portable, stationary, built into other equipment, separate.

harvester- a universal device. Able to replace any choppers: vegetable cutters, blenders, juicers, mills, meat grinders. The only negative is the large dimensions, sometimes it is difficult to understand the controls. But replacing so many kitchen utensils sounds really tempting.

Bread maker. Indispensable for lovers of homemade bread. You just need to pour the right products into the right compartment and select the baking mode. The bread machine will do all the work itself.

rice cooker. There is hardly a person who remains dissatisfied with the purchase of a rice cooker. It has a slight resemblance to a slow cooker, but is more specialized, so it copes better with cooking. By the way, you can cook not only rice, but also other cereals. Moscow chefs learn the art of rice cooking from Japanese colleagues. It turns out that you can cook meat and vegetables in a rice cooker.

How not to get lost in the variety of modern technology?

Considering the fast pace modern life as the only possible one, we come to the conclusion that modern kitchen appliances are a must. Manufacturers take this into account, so they constantly offer new products for customers. Such abundance could only be dreamed of before. But when all this became available, the eyes run wide, and the person does not know exactly what exactly he needs.

In order not to get lost, study in detail the information on the Internet for each product, view photos, study catalogs, read reviews, ask consultants about the purpose of the device and its features.

Modern technology greatly simplifies people's lives. When the devices are doing their job, you can spend time for yourself and your loved ones. After all, this is much more important than standing at the stove for hours.

Before choosing a technique, decide what you will cook and what exactly you will use. This approach will help save yourself from unnecessary costs, but will provide everything you need.

Video: 5 rules for choosing household appliances

Built-in kitchen appliances are a clear trend of our time. The main advantage of "built-in" is the ability for the user to create exactly the kitchen that he wants. Built-in appliances in the kitchen give a wide scope for design fantasies, because kitchen appliances, in fact, “hide” in the furniture profile - they are built in completely or partially (depending on the type, see below). In this material, we will talk about what kind of built-in kitchen appliances are now found - what can be built in the kitchen (the main most relevant appliances in everyday life, excluding the washing machine, since it does not apply to kitchen appliances). About what to look for Special attention when equipping the kitchen with built-in appliances.

Built-in ovens

The oven is one of the main kitchen appliances. A good housewife without a good oven is like having no hands. The kitchen stove combines a hob and an oven. But in the case of "embedding" these devices in furniture profile will have to be installed separately. It is not difficult to do this - the instruction manual for any embedded device always contains instructions for installing it (including all the main aspects relevant for embedding equipment). In case of self-doubt, it is better to turn to specialists (large network sellers of household appliances always have their own service department).

As with freestanding stoves, built-in ovens are standard width(about 60 cm), increased width (about 90 cm) or narrow (about 45 cm wide). Depth indicators are usually 50-55 cm. The height of a household built-in oven is usually about 55-60 cm, but there are compact models that are about 45 cm high.

A functionally good modern built-in oven may be better than an oven that is part of a freestanding stove. Functionality is various heating modes (including convection heating, which is mandatory for a high-quality oven, and “joint” modes with it, a grill), the presence of additional “amenities” (for example, skewers). Also, in many modern ovens today there are automatic cooking programs for various products and dishes (cooking algorithms - optimal settings for temperature, time, heating mode) - this is user-friendly. There are combined built-in ovens (a steamer or (and) microwave oven mode can be added to the “oven” modes. Most modern ovens have electronic control with a display (often touch control). It is desirable to have at least one level of installation of a baking sheet with telescopic rails. Required lighting for working area ovens. A modern oven usually has internal coating facilitating cleaning - special enamels. The oven cleaning system can be traditional (for budget models), catalytic (partially cleaning occurs directly in the process of using the oven - cooking food in it), pyrolytic (contaminants are simply burned out, turn into ash due to the very high temperature in the process of activating the cleaning function). There are also models of ovens with a steam cleaning system (contaminants are softened by steam, in principle, such a “steam bath” can be arranged in any oven). The doors are usually double glazed. But there are models with three and even four glasses - to reduce heat loss and temperature outer surface ovens. Tangential cooling serves to maintain the kitchen furniture in contact with the built-in oven (does not allow it to get very hot due to the operating oven) and stable operation of the electronics of the appliance control system.

Of course, the cost of the oven depends on the functionality and additional accessories, possibilities. However, the cost of any household appliance, of course, depends on other factors too. For example, from brand positioning in the market. Therefore, models of different manufacturers similar in functionality (or different brands, which does not always mean different manufacturers) can vary greatly in cost. There are many built-in ovens in stores today, the price range is great. From 6-8 thousand rubles (individual budget models Indesit, Gefest, Candy, Zanussi) to 300-400 thousand rubles (built-in ovens Miele, Gaggenau).

Built-in hobs

Another “part of the stove” is the hob. As well as without an oven, it is difficult to do without it in the kitchen. Built-in hobs are very different: classic gas, gas type"gas on glass", electric (with traditional metal heaters - "pancakes"), electric glass-ceramic, electric glass-ceramic induction, combined. The number of burners (heating zones) can also be different. Most models, of course, with the usual four. But there are built-in models with one heating zone (most often these belong to the “domino” form factor - see below), with two or three, with five, six ... Naturally, the number of heating zones, as a rule, correlates with the dimensions of the device. The width of a standard cooking surface with four heating zones is about 60 cm.

Naturally, when buying a hob, you should pay attention to some points (we are talking now, in more, about the classic with four heating zones). Gas hobs must have burners different diameter and power, preferably the presence of burners such as "double crown", "triple crown" - all this for greater variability of dishes used for cooking, for uniform heating of dishes, to speed up cooking processes. It is also worth paying attention to the presence of auto-ignition. It can be fully automatic (the flame is ignited by turning the burner intensity control) or it can be activated by pressing a separate button. The presence of the "Gas-control" function is mandatory - in case of accidental attenuation of the flame, the gas supply is blocked. Grids for dishes above the burners should preferably be cast iron. The gas hobs themselves can be made of enamelled metal (budget models) or stainless steel. There are even completely cast iron ones (Zigmund & Shtain GN 11.61 B, for example). There are also models of the "gas on glass" type - under the burners there is a tempered glass panel, less often a glass-ceramic panel. The cost of four-burner gas hobs in stores is from 3.5 thousand rubles (quite high-quality budget models are of the brands BEKO, Hansa, Zanussi, Hotpoint-Ariston, Candy, Gefest, Indesit). The upper price limit is about 80 thousand rubles (Restart models).

Electric built-in hobs. The most popular now models with a glass-ceramic hob. including with induction heating. Such hobs usually have touch electronic controls, often have a display and (and) light indication of the activity of various functions and modes. The heating zones of the glass-ceramic electric built-in hob should be of different power and different diameters - to ensure the variability in the use of dishes. It is good if at least one of the heating zones is with two or three circuits. It is convenient when a heating zone with an oval extension is provided (to cook in a roaster, etc.). It is also desirable to have zones of rapid heating (of the Hi-Light type). In the segment of induction hobs, models where there are no clearly demarcated heating zones are gaining popularity. After all induction surface without dishes, it still does not work on it (heating does not occur), therefore it is possible to create large heating zones on which the user is free to place dishes as he pleases, dishes of different sizes, different formats - this often greatly simplifies the cooking process. A common feature of any modern electric glass-ceramic hob is residual heat sensors and indicators. The latter indicate to the user that the heating zone has not yet completely cooled down and the residual heat can be used, for example, to keep the dish warm, they warn against burns. Also, more expensive models of electric glass-ceramic hobs can have various automatic cycle programs in their arsenal that simplify cooking. For example, “auto-boiling” (controlling liquid boiling), recognition of the presence and size of dishes, the “Short-term pause” function (to leave for a while, and return to continue cooking in the same mode), etc. A timer is also useful. It can be with or without turning off the heating zone (then only a sound signal). It is convenient when the timer can work in both modes. The cost of induction glass-ceramic hobs with four heating zones starts from 9 thousand rubles (Hansa, Indesit, BEKO). Induction models, where you can combine heating zones into one or, for example, make two zones, will cost more - from 16 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BHI68303). The cost of "ordinary" glass-ceramic electric hobs - from 6-7 thousand rubles. rubles (Hotpoint-Ariston, Hansa, Zanussi, Nardi, BEKO). The cost of built-in electric hobs with pancake heaters is from 3.5 thousand rubles (Hansa, Gefest, Hotpoint-Ariston).

Built-in kits

The set of built-in kitchen appliances includes an oven and a hob. Most often, both devices use the same heating source (either gas or electricity, but there are exceptions). A feature of the kits is the components that are dependent on each other. Usually the controls for both the oven and the hob are located on the oven control panel. On the one hand, this approach is convenient - all controls are in one place. In addition, this reduces the overall cost of the kit - it is usually cheaper than buying separate (independent) devices with similar functionality. But there is also a minus here - if one of the devices of the kit fails, it may happen that the other one will be unavailable in the context of use (for example, if the control system “flies”, then most likely neither the oven will work, nor the hob). However, of course, it is not at all a fact that something will definitely fail. The cost of such built-in kits is different, depending on the type and functionality of the devices included in the kit. It starts from about 14 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BCCI 62005030). The main brands under which classic built-in sets are produced (with a dependent hob): Hansa, Kaiser, BEKO, Neff (more expensive versions).

Built-in refrigerators

The king of the kitchen is the refrigerator. It can also be built into kitchen furniture. Moreover, you can embed a refrigerator of various form factors. If you want - build in one of the popular two-chamber ones, with a freezer from below, if you want - a small single-chamber one. You can build in both a Side-by-side form factor refrigerator and a French door form factor refrigerator - various models there are many in stores. Functionally, built-in refrigerators are not much different from stand-alone ones - all the same modern technologies that contribute to long-term and high-quality storage of products, as well as simplifying the operation of the refrigerator, can also be found in built-in models. This is both cooling and freezing without frost in the working chambers - No Frost. And different freshness zones for products. Chilled air circulation systems for its uniform distribution inside the refrigerator. Functions of supercooling and superfreezing, the "Vacation" mode (only the freezer compartment is fully functional), the possibility of separate temperature control in the compartments of the refrigerator ... In general, as already noted, all technologies found in stand-alone models are available in built-in refrigerators - their specific set depends from the model. Built-in refrigerators, depending on the form factor, can be under the countertop, in a special cabinet, you can decorate with panels designed for this - to match the color of the kitchen. There are, however, models in which the doors seem to remain outside - they are not closed by any panels.

The cost of built-in refrigerators is usually slightly higher than the cost of freestanding ones (in general, a higher price is relevant for all built-in appliances). It starts now with 11.5 thousand rubles. For this money, the user, for example, can purchase a small, 81.5 cm high, single-chamber Electrolux ERN 1200 FOW, which can be built under the countertop (the volume of the refrigerator is 97 liters, the freezer is 17). average cost a high-quality two-chamber built-in refrigerator with a bottom freezer, 170-194 cm high (built-in models are rare above) - about 25 thousand rubles. There are many brands: Bosch, Electrolux, Hotpoint-Ariston, Gorenje, Whirlpool, Liebherr ... The most affordable “refrigeration unit” of the Atlant brands (for example, the XM 4007-000 model) Hansa (BK313.3), BEKO(CBI 7771), Indesit(CB 31AA). When buying a built-in refrigerator, it is especially important to determine in advance the installation site and prepare it. Note that in terms of capacity (in terms of volume, “displacement”) built-in refrigerators, due to the fact that they are built-in, are always somewhat smaller than stand-alone ones.

Russians are slowly evaluating the benefits of having a dishwasher in the kitchen - the share of their penetration into the life of their compatriots is increasing. Now a dishwasher is not necessary at all expensive pleasure. There are many budget models in stores that provide excellent indicators of cleanliness of dishes. In the context of embedding in kitchen furniture, two types of dishwashers are distinguished. There are fully built-in models, with the so-called closed control panel - when all controls are concentrated "on the edge" of the door and are available only when the door is open. There are also models that have a frontal control panel - it “looks” at the user, the door is here and is not completely closed by a decorative panel.

It should also be noted that built-in dishwashers, like stand-alone ones, are divided into full-size (width - about 60 cm, height - about 85 cm), narrow (width - 45-50 cm, height - about 85 cm) and compact (height - about 45 cm, width - 50-55 cm). The latter can be built into the kitchen cabinet, instead of a microwave oven. The capacity of compact built-in models is 5-6 sets of dishes, narrow ones - 9-10, the capacity of full-size ones can reach up to 15-16 sets of dishes. The set of dishes, in accordance with international standards in this field, includes: a flat plate, a deep plate, a dessert plate, a cup with a saucer, a glass, a knife, a fork, a tablespoon, a teaspoon, a dessert spoon. Please note that pots, pans, baking sheets, other kitchenware, are not taken into account in this context.

As in the case of refrigerators, and, in fact, with any kitchen appliances, built-in dishwashers functionally do not have big differences from free-standing models. The same washing programs are available (their number depends on the model), the same additional options (for example, automatic detection of the type of detergent or a delay start timer). The features of built-in "dishwashers" (in this case, fully built-in) include technologies such as "beam on the floor". The point is that while the machine is running, a color indication is projected onto the floor, when the washing cycle is completed, the indication turns off. In some models (for example, the Siemens brand), this technology has been improved - the time remaining until the end of the washing cycle is projected onto the floor next to the machine. In general, as already mentioned, the functionality and performance of built-in "dishwashers" are not much different from those of stand-alone models.

The cost of built-in dishwashers. The prices of the most affordable (budget) full-size models start at about 11-11.5 thousand rubles. Among the relatively inexpensive fully built-in "dishwashers" are models of the brands BEKO (for example, DIN 1531 model), Zanussi (ZDT 12002 FA), Hansa (ZIM 614 H), Indesit (DIF 14), and some others. Budget built-in full-size models with an open control panel cost in stores from 12 thousand rubles (relative to inexpensive models there are brands Electrolux, Simfer, Bomann, Hansa. Prices for a narrow installation start at 8.5 thousand rubles (BEKO DIS 1520). For compact fully built-in models - from 11 thousand rubles (Flavia CI 55 HAVANA). Compact built-in models with an open control panel will cost more - from 20 thousand rubles (Bosch SKE 53M15).

Built-in microwave ovens

Built-in "microwaves" also exist. This kitchen appliance, which has become indispensable, can also be “hidden” in kitchen furniture without any problems. As is the case with most other kitchen appliances, the functionality of built-in microwave ovens is not much different from the functionality of freestanding ones. "Installation" is also divided into solo models (only microwaves), models with a grill and multifunctional (with convection heating and various combined heating modes). The door and control panel of a built-in microwave oven usually remain in plain sight - not “hidden in furniture (you can, of course, completely hide the oven in a cabinet, but this, in our opinion, is not very convenient in the context of ease of use, plus we must not forget about compliance technical standards to ensure proper, trouble-free and safe operation of the instrument). The volume of the working chamber for most built-in "microwaves" is 20-25 liters. The width of the stoves is 50-60 cm. The height is 32-40 cm. But there are also more spacious models, large sizes. Just as in the case of free-standing microwave ovens, built-in control can be completely electronic (buttons, sensors, display) or electromechanical (rotary switches familiar to most users - regulators of time and oven operating modes).

The cost of "microwave-integration" depends, as in the "separate case" on the functionality of the model. The most affordable built-in solo models. For example, a twenty-liter Indesit MWI 121.1 X will cost about 5.5 thousand rubles - one of the most affordable built-in microwave ovens on the market today. However, having paid only about a thousand rubles, you can also get a twenty-liter built-in microwave oven, but with a grill - Hansa AMM20BIMH. The most affordable option in the context of the cost in the segment of multifunctional built-in "microwaves" is a thirty-liter microwave oven with convection and a BEKO MWB 3010 EX grill (it will cost about 12 thousand rubles).

Built-in steamers

In the past few years, the segment of built-in steamers has expanded significantly. Apparently, thanks to the ongoing fashion for healthy lifestyle life. A built-in steamer is clearly more convenient to use than the usual traditional freestanding “whatnot”. Built-in steamer gives the user much more culinary options, while it simplifies the process of cooking. Here, for example, you can adjust the cooking temperature - set it to the nearest degree. As a rule, a modern built-in steamer has many automatic modes for cooking and defrosting food. The working chamber of the built-in steamer is most often made of stainless steel. Built-in steamers have a tank for water and for collecting condensate. Many built-in steamers can be directly connected to the water supply (but, of course, you should only do this if you are sure of the quality of the water entering your apartment). Most built-in steamers have auto-cleaning programs, water quality control, and multi-stage security systems. In general, the built-in steamer is a different, higher level of cooking delicious and healthy food. The cost of built-in steamers starts at about 20 thousand rubles (compared to "ordinary" steamers, these are, of course, very expensive devices) - this is how much the Hotpoint-Ariston SO 100 built-in steamer will cost. Siemens HB 25D5L2 built-in steamer costs about 22 thousand .rubles

Built-in coffee machines

In this product segment, you should not expect budget options. A good automatic coffee machine that can make several types of coffee is, in principle, not a cheap pleasure. The possibility of embedding only increases the cost of models. In principle, there are not so many built-in automatic coffee machines on the market, and their prices start at about 38 thousand rubles. The functionality is the same as that of the separate "sisters". A quality coffee machine, whether built-in or freestanding, should be able to prepare espresso, preferably also ristretto, regular coffee, cappuccino and latte coffee. Plus, perhaps, hot milk (frothed or not foamed), hot water supply. Also, in a high-quality modern coffee machine, it is desirable to be able to regulate the strength of the prepared drinks, it is good if there is still coffee temperature, the amount of the finished drink in the cup. The presence of automatic diagnostics is mandatory - the machine must prompt the user (by displaying information on the display) the need to top up clean water into the appropriate tank, the need to empty the container with “used” coffee, the need to add milk to the appropriate container, and so on. Self-cleaning programs are also needed in an automatic coffee machine. The most affordable built-in automatic coffee machines today: Miele CVA 3650 (in the official online store of the manufacturer costs 36.3 thousand rubles), Hotpoint-Ariston MCK 103 X / HA (about 40 thousand rubles), Siemens TK 76K573 (about 47 thousand rubles).

Built-in domino form factor

In the previous segments of the text, we talked about the main kitchen appliances that can be built into kitchen furniture. However, the material on the kitchen "insert" would be incomplete without information about the technique, called "domino". Domino form factor kitchen appliances are modular built-in appliances, which, as a rule, have standard dimensions(depth - about 50 cm, width - about 30). Each built-in module in kitchen furniture (most often in a countertop) has such dimensions, which can be a two- or one-burner hob, deep fryer, double boilers, or anything else needed in the kitchen. From these modules, the user can assemble the configuration of kitchen appliances he needs. Moreover, if the user wants, he can someday replace one module with another - after all, the dimensions of the modules are often the same, but the functionality (device type) may be different (of course, the possibility of replacing devices should always be considered in each specific case). You can simply swap the modules - if it is more convenient for the user. All this is reminiscent of game manipulations with dominoes - hence the name of this type of kitchen appliances.

Various two- and one-burner hobs (gas, traditional electric, electric glass-ceramic, electric induction), electric grill modules (with lava stones), deep fryers (as well as combined grill fryers, with the possibility of replacing the box with stones on a container with oil) double boilers, modules for cooking according to the principle of "Teppan Yaki", WOK. There are even modules-hoods. Different prices. For example, hobs are quite inexpensive (from 3-5 thousand rubles for gas or traditional electric ones). There is also inexpensive induction. Built-in domino-type electric grills with lava stones are available for 5-6 thousand rubles (the most affordable, for example, Hotpoint-Ariston DZ B IX). A fryer will also cost at least 5-6 thousand rubles (Fagor MF-FRI). Steamers, WOK panels, hoods are significantly more expensive. The main "affordable" manufacturers of domino-type modules are: Hotpoint-Ariston, Bosch, Ardo, Candy, Hansa. Premium models can be found under the brands Miele, Neff, Gaggenau, AEG.

Built-in kitchen appliances, which we talked about in this material, allow you to create a kitchen design that will appeal to you. We draw your attention to the fact that when creating a kitchen project, it is necessary to carefully approach the selection of built-in appliances in order to equip the kitchen with exactly the appliances that you will need. Otherwise, after the kitchen is ready, it can be quite difficult to change something (especially if any special design concept is created, for example, for a small kitchen).

And in our section "Kitchen Appliances" on the site, we are always happy to introduce you to various kitchen appliances in more detail. Stay tuned for news, reviews and tips on how to choose one or another technique for your kitchen.

When planning the interior of the kitchen, take into account not only technical features premises and area. It is necessary to organically fit furniture and equipment into the overall stylistic picture of the house. Appliances built into the kitchen in the headset will help to make ergonomic and comfortable small space small room. The possibilities of embedding equipment and small appliances in spacious rooms are unlimited: even the chef of the capital's restaurant will envy a technically perfect kitchen.

Built-in kitchen appliances functionally do not differ from classic samples installed separately. Additional features may be added to the standard features by the manufacturer. Built-in appliances are fundamentally different only in dimensions, the absence of external decorative side and rear panels, and equipment for fixing inside headsets.

Equipment set

Features of embedded technology: advantages and disadvantages of using

Can built-in kitchen appliances really save space in a cramped room? In fact, the dimensions of the devices range from ultra-compact to much larger than standard sizes. Advantages:

  • Save space by separating hobs and ovens.

Ergonomics in a compact space

  • Aesthetics and solidity of the kitchen interior.
  • Huge selection of front panel designs.

Solutions for every style

  • Compact models are suitable for installation in non-standard headsets with reduced depth.

There is only one drawback of the equipment: after installation, it is no longer possible to change the configuration and arrangement of equipment and furniture. The cabinet for built-in appliances in the kitchen will have to be completely redone, including replacing the facade.

Front panels to match the front of the furniture

Naturally, the price for individuality is high. A set of built-in cooking appliances will cost more than a gas or electric stove with a similar set of functions.

Large and small kitchen appliances: what can be built into the set

Number of devices that can be hidden behind furniture facades, depends only on the budget for equipment and the dimensions of the room. The most popular equipment:

  • A hob whose dimensions are determined by the number of burners.
  • Oven to be installed under the hob or in a tall cabinet.
  • Hood, disguised by the cabinet of the upper tier.

Classic set of built-in appliances

In tiny kitchens, you can free up another meter of space if, instead of a classic refrigerator, 2 separate refrigerators are built into the set: a freezer and a storage area with a temperature of about 0 o.

An oven and a microwave can be built into the cabinet for kitchen appliances at the same time - you don’t have to look for a place for a microwave on the countertop.

Manufacturers of small kitchen appliances offer built-in models for all popular appliances. Bread makers, coffee machines, mixers and combines find their place inside the drawers, behind the facades, in the cabinets.

How to choose the best set: mini or maxi equipment

Before you go to the store, clearly define your own needs for technology. After talking with managers, you will want to buy a lot of extra stuff. Agree, it makes no sense to fix the equipment inside the furniture, which is used every few months.

Larger kitchens have more room for appliances

Choose the dimensions and functionality of the selected equipment based on the standard list of dishes that are cooked regularly. Determine the volume of the oven, the internal refrigerator, taking into account the number of family members: why overpay for a roomy freezer that will be half empty? Remember that cabinets for kitchen appliances take up usable space from drawers for storing utensils.

The minimum set of equipment for compact kitchens in apartments:

  • Oven and hob.
  • Microwave.
  • Fridge.

Dishwasher disguised in cabinet

If the size of the room allows, it is advisable to install a dishwasher, especially if a family of 3 to 4 people regularly gather at the table. A useful device that is installed in the sink is a waste chopper. In addition to disposing of food residues that fall into the sink, the equipment will save the kitchen from the appearance of an unpleasant smell from the siphon.

In small city apartments, it often becomes necessary to install a washing machine in the kitchen - built-in models are perfect.

A washing machine can also be found in a cramped kitchen

Coffee lovers will be happy to complement the kit with a built-in espresso and latte machine: the coffee maker does not take up much space.

Ovens for kitchen sets: selection and installation

The first task is to determine how and at what points the oven and hob will be installed. There are independent products that can be installed separately, and dependent ones. In dependent kits, the equipment control unit is located on front panel cooking surface. The most popular and convenient option is an independent set of gas hob and electric oven.

How it works: types of ovens

Ovens installed in cabinets for built-in kitchen appliances are produced in 2 types - gas and electric. The cost of gas is lower than electric. Saving is not worth it. An oven with an electric heater is more convenient: the temperature remains stable, does not deviate from the set value, the entire inner surface warms up evenly, without “cold” areas. Set up the perfect job gas oven almost impossible.

Gas cabinet with mechanical adjustment

Side surfaces equipment are carefully insulated to protect adjacent surfaces from overheating. Pay attention to the front surface and the way the door opens. The standard option is a hinged door. It is much more convenient to use the oven with retractable door: together with the door, a baking sheet is removed from the chamber, and it is impossible to burn your hand when taking pastries from a hot cabinet.

The surface of the front door must be made of heat-resistant laminated glass - the temperature of the front panel during cabinet operation cannot exceed 40°C. Design options are numerous.

AT classic kitchens Enameled surfaces with transparent glass and decor, copper fittings, and retro ceramic rotary knobs look great. A modern interior will be decorated with an oven with black glass on the door or a textured metal door with dark glass and touch controls.

Design for classic and retro kitchens

Functionality and dimensions: the complexity of choice

The size of the oven can be selected individually. The depth of the devices varies from 55 to 60 cm - this is the standard depth of the lower tier of the headset. Super compact models are produced with a depth of 50 cm.

The width and height of standard ovens is 60 cm. For small kitchens and low cabinets, choose models 45 cm high. Despite the loss of internal volume, a standard wide baking sheet enters the oven, and two dishes are rarely cooked at the same time.

For non-standard and limited spaces, manufacturers offer models with a width of 45 cm and a classic height of 60 cm. In such cabinets, you can bake in two tiers on narrow baking sheets. Depending on the dimensions of the built-in oven, the internal volume can be from 35 to 65 liters.

Be sure to think about the layout before choosing an appliance: built-in ovens in standard sizes are much cheaper.

Oven sizes: all available options

The functional advantages of electric ovens are in a large number of programmable operating modes. Even budget devices have at least 5-8 factory programs. In addition to baking modes, there are programs for grilling, convection, drying and cooking complex dishes.

A useful feature is the self-cleaning of the inner chamber. Such ovens do not need to be washed. Cleaning is carried out according to the catalytic or pyrolytic principle.

Installation: calculation of the insertion point and installation

Installing a built-in oven begins with choosing a place for installation. If an independent set of appliances is chosen, it is better to build the oven at a higher height from the floor. In this case, you do not have to bend down to check the readiness of the dish or get pastries.

At what height should the oven be installed? The choice of mounting height depends on the height of the hostess. It is necessary to choose a place of installation so that you do not have to raise your hands above chest level to remove the baking sheet. The best option- embed the equipment in a high pencil case at a height of 40 to 80 cm above the floor.

Before installing the oven, it is necessary to check that the wiring and sockets are suitable for the conditions of increased load. An electrician should carry out the check: some models with a power of more than 3.5 kW require connection through a wire with an increased cross-sectional area. Sockets for connecting equipment are installed with mandatory grounding. Additionally, automation is installed for emergency shutdown current supply.

Installation and connection diagram

The installation of equipment in the cabinet is carried out by specialists who assemble the headset. The oven is installed in a niche. Manufacturers must indicate in the instructions the minimum gaps between the oven panels and the walls of the niche - free space is necessary for air circulation.

The cabinet is fixed in a niche with factory fasteners.

Do-it-yourself installation is undesirable. In the event that the equipment fails due to incorrect connection, use of inappropriate electrical wiring, the warranty does not apply.

Cooktops for compact and large kitchens

A real salvation for small kitchens and decoration for spacious kitchen-dining rooms are hobs. The dimensions of the surfaces range from compact, for 2 burners, to large panels for 6 - 8 burners.

Types of heating elements of built-in panels

Main types of panels:

  • Gas.
  • Electrical.
  • Combined.

Gas panels are connected to a gas pipe outlet. The number of burners - from two. Great choice for not large kitchens where food is prepared for 1 - 2 people. The minimum width is only 28 cm. Such narrow plates are suitable for headsets with reduced depth and length, which are made to order. Alternatively, you can build in 2 hobs in series with minimal dimensions - the number of burners will double.

Narrow glass-ceramic stove with gas burners

The cost of panels with gas burners depends on the materials of manufacture of the grate, burners and coating. Saving is not worth it. Choose devices with massive gratings made of cast iron or durable steel. Thin rods of a budget grill are deformed in a few months, and it is difficult to buy a grill for a non-standard plate separately. Most gas surfaces are covered with an enameled decorative layer. Among the popular models are stainless steel metal panels.

Electrical panel with touch control non-standard shape

Electric stoves come in more design options. The top panel can be made of tempered glass or glass-ceramic. The advantage of glass surfaces is their impeccable appearance and ease of cleaning.

Features of electrical panels:

  1. It is necessary to use dishes with a perfectly flat bottom.
  1. The surface must be protected from impacts and falling sharp objects.
  1. Liquid spilled on the panel must be immediately cleaned up - sugar leaves indelible marks on the surface of glass and glass ceramics.

Induction hob always stays cold

The most expensive and modern - induction panels. When the heating is on, the surface of the panel remains cold, and only the dishes are heated. True, for cooking on such a stove, you will have to use special dishes.

Standard electrical panels are also equipped with zone heating. The surface is heated only along the radius of the heating element, the rest of the panel area remains cold.

Basic installation rules

The installation of gas or electric hobs begins with the selection of dimensions. The standard countertop is 60 cm wide. Almost any model can be built in with your own hands.

Manufacturers complete the equipment with a stencil template for marking the surface for the tie-in. It is enough to circle the outline with a marker. Cut into chipboard or MDF board the hole can be a jigsaw.

The gas panel is connected to the gas pipe outlet. The use of flexible gas pipes. The joints must be sealed with sealing tape and checked for gas leaks.

Electrical panels are connected to the mains. Depending on the power, a wire with an optimal cross section is selected. Grounded outlets are used.

After checking the connection, you can fix the panel in the table top. Additionally, it is recommended to strengthen the fixation with a sealant.

Refrigeration equipment: is it worth hiding a freezer in the closet

Choice refrigeration technology huge. Solo models on the market can be selected for any interior and room size. For small kitchens, choose a built-in refrigerator in kitchen set. There is only one limitation associated with the installation technology: first, the equipment is chosen, and furniture is made according to its size. Why is that? There are 2 types of built-in refrigeration equipment:

  1. Fully embedded.
  1. Partially embedded.

With partial installation, the side and rear panels are hidden in a niche, and the doors are left open. You can build a refrigerator with standard dimensions and a height of up to 2.1 m. This solution is suitable for medium and spacious rooms.

In small kitchens, space is often limited: you have to separately install a freezer and a refrigerator. Fully built-in appliances are invisible: the doors are hidden behind the facade of the headset. How to embed a compact refrigerator in a kitchen set? Masters calculate the dimensions of the niche with an accuracy of up to a millimeter. The refrigerator doors are equipped with guides that are attached to the inner surface of the cabinet door. When you open the cabinet, the refrigerator also opens.

Compact appliances under the worktop

Advantages of built-in technology:

  • Refrigerator and freezer can be installed in different places.
  • Compact models are ideal for small city kitchens.
  • A monolithic surface of the headset is created, which visually enlarges the room.

Partially built-in two-door refrigerator

Built-in microwave ovens for cabinets

The standard size of a microwave oven is unified with the dimensions of ovens for embedding in kitchen cabinets. Volume classic models is from 28 liters. Dimensions:

  • Microwave height standard - 45 cm.
  • Width - 60 cm.
  • Depth - up to 50 cm.

Mounting the standard model above the oven

Standardized dimensions allow you to install the oven and microwave in one cabinet, placing the equipment vertically. The disadvantage of such a mounting scheme is the need for an accurate calculation of the mounting height. The oven is installed below, at a height of 30 - 40 cm from the floor, above it - a microwave oven. Be sure to ensure that the height of the installation of the microwave allows you to get a plate without raising your hands.

Mounting above the worktop in a hanging cabinet

Functionality different models differs drastically. To the basic functions - heating and defrosting - manufacturers add baking, convection, grill modes. Does it make sense to pay extra for the functionality that is already in the oven? Definitely not. Models with an extended set of operating modes will be useful to those who decide not to install a full-fledged oven. In this case, it is better to choose a product with an increased camera size. The maximum internal volume is up to 40 liters.

An important point: when choosing equipment, focus on the average price category. It is not advisable to save money by buying equipment from unknown manufacturers. In addition to the fact that the equipment will have to be dismantled in order to be taken for repair, it may turn out that it is impossible to buy replacement parts.

Pay attention to the warranty period - the longer the period of free maintenance, the more reliable the equipment. Major manufacturers usually have representative offices and service centers in all cities. This means that you can find the part and carry out repairs as quickly as possible.

The sequence of work when replacing furniture and appliances: first choose a set of appliances, and only after that order a set with cabinets. Be sure to give the masters the instructions and technical data sheets of the devices. Do not experiment with self-installation of electrical equipment - specialists will do everything much better and faster.

Before starting repairs, it is important to correctly plan the location of all household appliances, determine the necessary equipment and budget. There is a basic minimum, it includes appliances that must appear in the kitchen. This is a hob, oven and refrigerator, extractor hood. It can be a dishwasher and washing machine, a double boiler and a microwave with a grill function, a cooktop with six burners.

Note! For kitchen equipment, you can use the minimum number of appliances, while not losing functionality. To do this, you need to choose multifunctional household appliances (an oven with a microwave function, for example, a multicooker that can replace several very different devices at once). No need to buy expensive equipment with a large set of additional features. It often happens that all two or three modes are in active use, and the rest have not been used for the entire time the device has been in operation.

Today, almost every company that produces household appliances has a line that includes both built-in and stationary devices. The list of high-quality technical innovations is constantly updated with new devices, you can understand which technique is better to choose, guided by the best technical indicators. He offers a wide range of a wide variety of household appliances for the home, among them there are products that can be used for kitchen equipment. The products of the German company consistently demonstrate high quality at affordable price, the equipment works reliably, well, and if something happens to it, a huge network of service centers is able to repair and extend the life of refrigerators, cooking ovens, grill cabinets and other household kitchen appliances.

We clearly plan the budget in advance. It will help you immediately decide in which group you need to look for products: among premium products, mid-price or economy class. It is important to decide what is at the forefront: style or functionality. If style dominates, not functionality, it should be borne in mind that the same oven with “hi-tech gadgets”, with touch controls, will cost 20% more than a push-button control. At the same time, the number of functions they can have is the same.

When choosing built-in appliances, it is important to purchase both furniture and technical equipment at the same time. There are companies on the market that produce furniture and install household appliances, make all the necessary connections and adjustment of equipment. As a rule, they have agreements with dealerships selling built-in appliances. They give furniture factories 15% discount. Therefore, a complete kitchen equipment will be much cheaper. Tips for choosing manufacturers are presented in the article.

How to choose embedded appliances?
How to choose and buy built-in appliances in St. Petersburg, we will tell in this article. Daily meetings in the kitchen are a ritual of family communication. At breakfast or dinner, less often at lunch, all family members gather at the table. Naturally, they are pleased to see a stylish environment around them, harmonious combination kitchen furniture and household appliances. But the hostess of the house, who spends much more time in the kitchen, in addition to external beauty, also needs the convenience and functionality of the environment. To connect all the preferences of the family will help the creation of a kitchen with built-in appliances.

Ovens
If you decide to buy a built-in oven, then you have many options for its design. Oven doors - because they are always in sight. Ovens are divided into two broad categories: dependent and independent. Dependents are connected to the hob (which must also be classified as dependent), while the “top and bottom” control is carried out using the panel on the oven. This option is suitable for those who are accustomed to standard plates. Please note: the hob and oven connected to each other must be of the same type - gas or electric. Independent ovens are controlled by their own control panel and can be placed where it is convenient for the hostess. According to the European model, ovens are installed not on the floor, but at eye level, so that the hostess does not have to once again bend over. All models are equipped with built-in lighting that allows you to control the cooking process without opening the oven door. The glass doors are made of double glass, so outer side practically does not heat up and eliminates the risk of burns. Most ovens use a special thermal insulation system and function additional ventilation. The cool air cools the walls of the oven and keeps nearby furniture from heating up. This is especially important for kitchens with built-in furniture, where there are no gaps between appliances and cabinets.

All ovens are equipped with a control panel equipped with knobs for switching modes and a thermostat. Dependent models also have knobs for adjusting the operation of the burners. For the convenience of housewives, ovens are equipped with a mechanical timer that emits an audible signal when the set time has elapsed. On more expensive models, there is an electronic timer that not only notifies the hostess, but also turns off the oven on its own. Modern ovens are capable of operating in several modes: “heating from below and from above”, “infrared heater”, “fan”. Therefore, even inexperienced housewives will be able to cook many delicious and varied dishes in them.

Hobs
Many people want to buy built-in kitchen appliances for themselves. An indispensable addition to the oven or absolutely separate element Your kitchen is the hob. Progress is stepping forward, so the hob can be placed separately from the oven in a place convenient for you, for example, on the table. Like ovens, hobs are dependent and independent, respectively regulated from the control panel on the oven or have their own buttons and knobs. We offer to buy built-in kitchen appliances - gas and electric hobs, which have many design options. Stainless steel, enamelled or glass-ceramic surfaces painted in different colors. The most popular are white, black, brown and metal.

The number of burners you choose according to your own needs. For big family a hob with 5 burners is perfect: four different sizes in the corners and one in the center, usually of an elongated shape, for example, for ducklings. There is also a small cooktop with two burners. All current gas panels are equipped with an electric ignition system, carried out by turning and pressing the knob. As well as the Gas Control security system, which shuts off the gas in the event of a fire dying out.
Glass-ceramic hobs are fashionable and in demand - you can buy built-in kitchen appliances from us. They have an attractive design, a versatile non-stick surface and excellent thermal conductivity. In use, the glass-ceramic surface is simple and convenient, since instead of mechanical handles, its control panel is equipped with touch buttons. The presence of a special burner, which warms up as much as possible in three seconds, helps the hostesses a lot. Plus, all glass-ceramic panels are equipped with heat indicators that stay on until the surface temperature is safe to prevent burns.

Dominoes - hobs
An excellent option for creative hobs are "dominoes" - a combination of functionality and style. They can be either gas or electric. Usually "domino" has one or two burners, or a solid surface. But this does not limit, but rather expands their capabilities: gas burners have several rows of flames, electric burners operate in several modes. In addition, "dominoes" have a number of advantages, providing the hostess, in addition to the hob, also with a grill, a deep fryer, and a barbecue device.

Embedded equipment kits
A universal solution to buy built-in kitchen appliances is a set of already selected oven and hob. Manufacturers have taken care of the traditional stove, which in the minds of many housewives is a monolithic connection between the panel and the oven. Please note that the kits consist of dependent models of the same type: either gas or electric. Individual parameters, such as the presence of convection or a grill in the oven, can be selected independently. However, a wider choice is provided by the purchase of a separate, independent hob and oven.

Built-in refrigerators
If you decide to buy built-in kitchen appliances - refrigerators, when choosing, first of all, pay attention to the parameters and the set of functions, and not the appearance. All the same, it will not be visible - the built-in refrigerator is specially placed in a closet or covered with panels to match the walls. The size of the family directly affects the size of the refrigerator. And the preferences of the household - on its function. For those who like to prepare products for the future, a capacious freezer so that everything fits and air must circulate between the packages. For the convenience of the owners, modern refrigerators are equipped with special mobile shelves, egg trays, and bottle holders. There are also special refrigerators for demanding owners. They have three chambers with different temperatures: a refrigerating chamber, a freezer and a zero chamber. The technical characteristics of built-in refrigerators do not differ much from conventional ones. They are also equipped with a No Frost system or use automatic defrosting. The advantage of the No Frost system is to ensure the safety of products while avoiding frost and ice on the walls. Some models of built-in refrigerators use an automatic defrosting system, which also does not require much effort from the owners.

Built-in washing machines and dryers
If you decide to buy a built-in washing machine, keep in mind that they are successfully built into the interior of the kitchen. Almost all models are fully automated: they independently determine the weight of the loaded laundry, pour, heat and drain water, wash, rinse, wring out and turn off at the end of work. Pay attention to the number of revolutions of the drum during the spin cycle: standard value in the range from 400 to 1000. It is even more profitable if the machine also has a drying function, which consists in processing the fabric with a stream of heated air.

We offer to buy built-in household appliances - a dryer - separately. Built into the closet, it will discreetly help the hostess quickly dry the laundry, while not damaging the fabric structure. You set the drying parameters yourself: provide a percentage of moisture to facilitate ironing, or finally dry the laundry, which can be immediately sent to the closet.

Built-in dishwashers
A dishwasher becomes a real assistant to the hostess. She discreetly hides in the kitchen cabinet, and only the control panel remains in sight. Using the buttons, it is easy to set the desired washing mode. There are usually four temperature settings - 45, 55, 65 and 70 C - and 2 to 8 programs for different kind utensils. Most dishwashers hold 4 to 12 place settings. When choosing and buying built-in appliances - a dishwasher, pay attention to the need to purchase special detergents: powder, liquid rinse and special ion exchange salt for water softening. Dishwashers will last a long time if connected to them cold water which is cleaner than hot.

Built-in microwave ovens and steamers
For quick reheating or cooking, it is convenient to use the built-in microwave oven or built-in steamer. Appliances are conveniently placed in the kitchen furniture designed for it and do not stand out from the general interior. A number of models provide a variety of functions. The simplest microwave ovens perform only defrosting, cooking and heating food, while multifunctional ones are equipped with a grill and convection. Built-in microwave ovens can be controlled both manually and by setting the necessary parameters on the electronic display. Today, when buying built-in appliances (steamers), you can find a model for any kitchen: with a hinged or hinged door, of different sizes and surface colors. The technique is controlled using buttons or a light touch on the touch panel. The set parameters and the process of cooking products are displayed on an electronic or liquid crystal display. Most models of built-in steamers have a child protection system, as well as an auto-off timer, which is very beneficial for families with small children. So, built-in appliances perfectly save kitchen space, harmoniously combined with furniture and decoration of the room.
