It takes ~3 minutes to read

Previously, kitchen appliances were considered luxury items. Every year the need of people is growing, more and more various devices are required to help in the household. Today, kitchen appliances are a necessity. We can no longer imagine our life without a microwave, a mixer ... And even without a refrigerator and a stove even more so. Such a variety of devices sometimes introduces a person into confusion. Understanding all the functions and intricacies of kitchen appliances is necessary. This will provide comfortable life and will not make you regret the money spent.

It is worth deciding what you really need in the kitchen. It makes no sense to buy equipment that you will never use. For example, you do not need to buy a waffle iron, pancake maker, bread machine if you do not like flour. It is better not to follow the thought: “suddenly it will come in handy later.” Most often, such rash purchases do not justify themselves in the future.

Style and design are undeniably important for modern kitchen appliances. It is important that it suits your interior according to color scheme. It did not stand out, but harmoniously combined with the furniture. Therefore, the technique can be chosen already at the stage of arranging the interior of the kitchen, if possible.

The first place in the list of large household appliances for the kitchen is the refrigerator. It is not surprising, because it ensures the safety of the most necessary for us - food. Manufacturers constantly offer new models, adding new features: sound signals, automatic defrosting, blowing.

Refrigerators come in several sizes:

  1. Small (~120×50cm). Suitable for country house, office, hotel.
  2. Mini-bars (~80×50cm). They are mainly used to preserve the freshness of drinks and fruits.
  3. Standard (~180×60cm). Buy owners of cottages and apartments of small area.
  4. Medium. They have a small height, but they are wide (~ 170 × 80 cm). Suitable for the same rooms as standard European refrigerators.
  5. Large (~200×60cm). Better buy in big houses and spacious apartments.

Oven. There are electric and gas. It's hard to say which is better because it depends on several factors. First, if your home has gas, then an electric oven can raise your electricity bill. In this case, the choice is obvious. Secondly, the functionality of electric ovens is more convenient (different heating modes, including convection). Some ovens include useful features such as a temperature sensor, a timer, quick preheat options, auto-off, defrost, and even several pre-programmed recipes.

The stovetop is an essential part of any kitchen. Depending on the heating method, they are divided into 3 groups:

  • gas;
  • electric;
  • combined.

Another classification - according to the method of location and installation in the kitchen:

  • built-in (combined with a countertop, cabinet and other furniture);
  • separately located (the most common);
  • portable (installed on the table, often do not have an oven, more suitable for giving).

Microwave. This invention has been saving people for many years due to its speed of heating food and ease of use. Especially often used by residents of megacities who are in constant motion and in a hurry.

For those who are still thinking of buying it or replacing it with a new one, we recommend that you pay attention to microwave ovens combined with an oven. This will save space and get a completely versatile device.

Dishwasher. Probably everyone dreams of this device. The only deterrent to the acquisition is the large size of the equipment. The main advantages: saving water consumption, quick cleaning of large volumes of dishes from dirt and microorganisms and, of course, more free time for your favorite things.

Please read the instructions carefully when installing yourself. Most likely, the option of the built-in installation of the stove will be described there.
  2. Fridge. Surprisingly, even such a large unit can be built into kitchen furniture. Moreover, any shape and size: two-chamber with a freezer, single-chamber, french door. Most often, the refrigerator is combined with a cabinet, but it can also be placed under the countertop, if the size allows.
  3. Dishwasher. Can be built in completely or partially. In the first case, the panel elements are hidden under a decorative door. With partial embedding, all buttons are located on the front.
  4. Microwave ovens, steamers, coffee machines can also be built in.

It is worth noting that all of the above household appliances for the kitchen are the same in terms of functionality with free-standing models, i.e. have the same set of features and capabilities. The only difference is the installation method.

Video: 5 rules for choosing household appliances

The modern kitchen is crammed with appliances that help to greatly simplify the process of cooking, reduce the time that the hostess is forced to spend near the stove. Only the best household appliances can cope with the task. New generation devices boast a wide range of various functions that greatly simplify work in the kitchen. Various lines are on sale from different manufacturers, the choice of kitchen appliances is often made taking into account its cost. The advice of experts will help to equip the described premises, organize the workplace in such a way that it is as comfortable and convenient as possible to perform daily household chores.

What technique is better to choose?

The first thing to decide is what the best technique for the kitchen, choose: built-in or stationary. Built-in modules are hidden under the facades of furniture, stationary ones remain in sight. More recently, built-in appliances from European manufacturers were an unattainable luxury, today a lot has changed. Even the most famous brands household appliances present collections that can easily compete with manufacturers of cheap products in terms of cost. At the same time, the quality of the manufactured products deserves respect.

The acquisition of the best built-in household appliances has a number of undeniable advantages:

  • This is quite practical and ergonomic equipment.
  • It can be easily placed even in the smallest kitchen.
  • As a rule, the described household appliances for the kitchen have smaller sizes than standard stationary counterparts. This circumstance helps to form a full-fledged multidisciplinary functionality even in a small space.
  • The implementation of the concepts of modern styles is impossible without the use of built-in kitchen appliances. It helps to form a comfortable kitchen space, which can be completed at your discretion, and thereby achieve the desired ergonomics.

But giving preference to such devices, it is important to take into account the disadvantages that they invariably have.

  1. As a rule, manufacturers produce devices that are fully integrated into furniture sets if the kitchen appliances break down, you will have to change not only it, but the entire furniture module, and sometimes the entire set as a whole. And this is extra trouble, extra waste of money.
  2. Anyone who likes to rearrange often in their apartment may encounter a certain problem: it will be impossible to rearrange furniture modules in which built-in appliances were installed.
  3. And finally, the purchase of built-in appliances for the kitchen will cost an order of magnitude more expensive than stationary monolithic models.

After weighing the advantages and disadvantages, it is important first of all to decide for yourself what kind of kitchen appliances you need. It is necessary to decide which manufacturer to choose after the list of necessary equipment is determined, and the estimate itself is precisely verified.

Basic rules for the formation of the basic configuration

Before starting repairs, it is important to correctly plan the location of all household appliances, determine the necessary equipment and budget. There is a basic minimum, it includes appliances that must appear in the kitchen. This is a hob, oven and refrigerator, extractor hood. We enter the name of these items in the first lines, and then we finalize the list with what each family needs specifically. It can be a dishwasher and washing machine, a double boiler and a microwave with a grill function, a cooktop with six burners.

Note! For kitchen equipment, you can use the minimum number of appliances, while not losing functionality. To do this, you need to choose multifunctional household appliances (an oven with a microwave function, for example, a slow cooker that can replace several of the most different devices). No need to buy expensive equipment with a large set additional features. It often happens that all two or three modes are in active use, and the rest have not been used for the entire period of operation of the device.

Today, almost every company that produces household appliances has a line that includes both built-in and stationary devices. The list of high-quality technical innovations is constantly updated with new devices, you can understand which technique is better to choose, guided by the best technical indicators. They are necessarily taken into account when compiling a rating of kitchen appliances. Almost all brands represented in our domestic market offer competitive products. But it differs significantly both in quality and in its external characteristics. Therefore, each buyer formulates the same question: “Which manufacturer can be trusted? Which brand is better to give preference to?

In the first place in it is occupied by the German transnational concern "Siemens". It offers a wide range of various household appliances for the home, among them there are products that can be used for kitchen equipment. This trademark one of the first appeared on the shelves of specialized stores immediately after the formation of the post-Soviet space, so it has long become "native" for every Russian buyer. The products of the German company consistently demonstrate high quality at affordable price, the equipment works reliably, well, if something happens to it, a huge network of service centers is able to repair and extend the life of refrigerators, cooking ovens, grill cabinets and other household kitchen appliances.

The second position of the top of the best is occupied by another German brand "Bosch". Using their products helps to forget about half of the usual standard concerns that invariably arise daily in every kitchen. Numerous customer reviews indicate that the use of Bosch appliances helps to enjoy the time spent in the kitchen. Even someone who doesn't like to cook easily becomes almost a professional chef, good recipes, implemented using built-in technology, can easily compete with restaurant dishes. Therefore, if we have an unlimited cash limit, we invariably choose Bosch appliances. You can talk about its advantages for hours: reliable, multifunctional, easy to perform, durable. Of the shortcomings - only a high price. It was she who did not allow the German brand to take the first leading position.

Built-in home appliances «Bosch»

Teka is a Spanish brand. For a hundred years now, its products have been invariably in demand throughout Europe; they have appeared on our domestic market relatively recently. The company specializes in the production of equipment for the kitchen and bathroom. Therefore, the manufacturer offers entire collections of household appliances and faucets, the design of which is developed taking into account the design of household appliances. This circumstance is the main advantage of choosing this manufacturer. Its products do not cause any complaints. Modern design, versatility, reliability, durability - these are the basic requirements that are all implemented in the production of the described products. If you need to choose appliances and mixers in the right style, in the right color, you should take a closer look at this manufacturer.

Zigmund & Shtain should also be included in the rating of manufacturers. It produces classic built-in kitchen appliances that demonstrate a high level of practicality. With it, you can cook not only for the family, but also for a large number of guests invited to the celebrations. Cooking in the house after installing such appliances will become a holiday, so you can safely flip through the catalogs and choose something suitable for yourself if the money limit is not limited by anything.

High-tech kitchen from Gorenje in retro style

Gorenje is a Slovenian company that was able to conquer the European markets. Today, its products are also on our market, it is presented in the middle price segment. Anyone who wants to install in their kitchen reliable and practical appliances, ergonomic, capable of boasting modern design, but at the same time save money, may give preference to this particular brand. The described brand is among the ten most famous in terms of popularity. Customer reviews contain only laudatory information, Slovenian manufacturers invest a lot of money in the modernization of their production, in the development of technical innovations, the functionality of which will be at the highest level, while the price will remain affordable for a wide range of buyers.

Generalization on the topic

So, if we choose appliances for the kitchen, we must first make a list of the most necessary appliances and see what we can refuse without reducing the level of functionality. We clearly plan the budget in advance. It will help you immediately decide in which group you need to look for products: among premium products, mid-price or economy class. It is important to decide what is at the forefront: style or functionality. If style dominates, not functionality, it should be borne in mind that the same oven with “hi-tech gadgets”, with touch controls, will cost 20% more than a push-button control. At the same time, the number of functions they can have is the same.

When choosing built-in appliances, it is important both furniture and Technical equipment purchase at the same time. There are companies on the market that produce furniture and install household appliances, make all the necessary connections and adjust the equipment. As a rule, they have agreements with dealerships selling built-in appliances. They give furniture factories 15% discount. Therefore, a complete kitchen equipment will be much cheaper. Tips for choosing manufacturers are presented in the article.

The choice of household appliances for the kitchen must begin at the planning stage of repair or construction. Regardless of the type of household appliances, calculate in advance the location and number of devices. From the choice, freestanding or built-in appliances will be in your kitchen, the order of the kitchen set also depends. Each option has pros and cons, study in detail the advantages and disadvantages before the final choice.

Freestanding Kitchen Appliances

Let's start the comparison with technology that has proven its attractiveness and convenience for decades. Freestanding household appliances for the kitchen are elements of the classics, the traditional arrangement of appliances. To the benefits separately standing equipment includes a number of factors.

  • Variety and appearance of technology. Wide range of various equipment will not leave indifferent even the most fastidious buyers. Household appliances are able to decorate and complement the style created in the interior, to give the necessary accent.
  • Installation of household appliances. Installation of free-standing household appliances will not cause difficulties, choose a place and plug it into a power outlet. Calling a specialist is required only to install a gas stove.

  • Free movement of free-standing equipment will be needed when moving or updating the interior. In addition, broken equipment can be easily replaced with an identical or different model.
  • The cost of stand-alone equipment, depending on the functionality, is affordable for each person.

However, before buying, it is worth considering the disadvantages of free-standing household appliances. These include the nuances of the location. Separate equipment cannot be placed close to each other; at any arrangement, gaps are formed between the devices, into which dust, particles of fat and food remains fall. Cleaning this space is difficult. In addition, separate equipment is located in a horizontal plane and takes up a lot of space, vertical plane remains unclaimed.

Built-in kitchen appliances

Relatively recently, built-in appliances for the kitchen appeared on the market for apartment equipment. Stylish and comfortable, it quickly captured the hearts of customers. Consider the benefits of built-in appliances for the kitchen.

  • Embedded appliances are a fashion trend. For those who follow popular novelties, such a kitchen option is a necessary element.
  • Aesthetic appearance, the appliances are hidden in the kitchen set, not striking.
  • Ergonomic location. The hob is not tied to the oven, the oven can be positioned at a high level so that you do not have to bend down.
  • Space saving. The use of built-in appliances saves up to 20% of space due to the snug fit and vertical filling of the territory.

The disadvantage of built-in appliances for the kitchen is its impracticality. In the event of a technical breakdown, the replacement of appliances is possible only together with a part of the kitchen set, which will entail financial losses. It is also impossible to change the location of the equipment; this equipment will stand in the kitchen as long as the kitchen set is used. Changing the style of interior design is problematic; you will have to adapt to the existing kitchen. And the last disadvantage of embedded technology is its high cost. In addition to the price of the equipment itself, the installation of embedded equipment will require calling a specialist and paying for his work.

The choice of household appliances for the kitchen

When the pros and cons of different types of kitchens have been studied, it remains to answer the question of how to choose household appliances for the kitchen, what to choose - built-in appliances or stand-alone. The answer to this question depends on several factors. The first is the estimated budget for the purchase. Please note that in addition to buying the kitchen itself, you will need to call professionals to install built-in appliances, this is an additional expense. The second nuance is the size of the kitchen. How less kitchen, the more justified the choice of embedded technology. It is not only hidden from view, but also does not take up space on the work surface. And last but not least, general style kitchens. Embedded technology requires modern renovation with dear appearance and maximum functionality.

When buying household appliances for the kitchen, use the advice of professionals. Firms producing kitchens and built-in appliances often cooperate with each other. The result of such cooperation looks perfect, and the warranty service is at a high level. Regardless of the choice of appliances, designers recommend following a single chosen style to the end, so that household appliances emphasize the interior, and do not stand out from it as inappropriate.

Built-in kitchen appliances are a clear trend of our time. The main advantage of "built-in" is the ability for the user to create exactly the kitchen that he wants. Built-in appliances in the kitchen give a wide scope for design fantasies, because kitchen appliances, in fact, “hide” in the furniture profile - they are built in completely or partially (depending on the type, see below). In this material, we will talk about what kind of built-in kitchen appliances are now found - what can be built in the kitchen (the main most relevant appliances in everyday life, excluding washing machine, since it does not apply to kitchen appliances). About what you should pay special attention to when completing the kitchen with built-in appliances.

Built-in ovens

The oven is one of the main kitchen appliances. A good housewife without a good oven is like having no hands. Kitchen stove combines a hob and oven. But in the case of "embedding" these devices in furniture profile will have to be installed separately. It is not difficult to do this - the instruction manual for any embedded device always contains instructions for installing it (including all the main aspects relevant for embedding equipment). In case of self-doubt, it is better to turn to specialists (large network sellers of household appliances always have their own service department).

As with freestanding cookers, built-in ovens are available in standard width (approx. 60 cm), extra wide (approx. 90 cm) or narrow (approx. 45 cm wide). Depth indicators are usually 50-55 cm. The height of a household built-in oven is usually about 55-60 cm, but there are compact models that are about 45 cm high.

A functionally good modern built-in oven may be better than an oven that is part of a freestanding stove. Functionality is various modes heating (including convection heating and “joint” modes with it, grill), the presence of additional “amenities” (for example, skewers), which is mandatory for a high-quality oven. Also, in many modern ovens today there are automatic cooking programs for various products and dishes (cooking algorithms - optimal settings for temperature, time, heating mode) - this is user-friendly. There are combined built-in ovens (a steamer or (and) microwave oven mode can be added to the “oven” modes. Most modern ovens have electronic control with a display (often touch control). It is desirable to have at least one level of installation of a baking sheet with telescopic guides. Required lighting for working area ovens. A modern oven usually has an internal coating that facilitates cleaning - special enamels. The oven cleaning system can be traditional (for budget models), catalytic (partial cleaning occurs directly during the use of the oven - cooking food in it), pyrolytic (contaminants are simply burned out, turn into ash due to very high temperature during the activation of the cleaning function). There are also models of ovens with a steam cleaning system (contaminants are softened by means of steam, in principle, such a “steam bath” can be arranged in any oven). The doors are usually double glazed. But there are models with three and even four glasses - to reduce heat loss and temperature outer surface ovens. Tangential cooling serves to maintain the kitchen furniture in contact with the built-in oven (does not allow it to get very hot due to the operating oven) and stable operation of the electronics of the appliance control system.

Of course, the cost of the oven depends on the functionality and additional accessories, possibilities. However, the cost of any household appliance Of course, it depends on other factors too. For example, from brand positioning in the market. Therefore, models of different manufacturers similar in functionality (or different brands, which does not always mean different manufacturers) can vary greatly in cost. There are many built-in ovens in stores today, the price range is great. From 6-8 thousand rubles (individual budget models Indesit, Gefest, Candy, Zanussi) to 300-400 thousand rubles (built-in ovens Miele, Gaggenau).

Embedded hobs

Another “part of the stove” is the hob. As well as without an oven, it is difficult to do without it in the kitchen. Built-in hobs are very different: classic gas, gas type"gas on glass", electric (with traditional metal heaters - "pancakes"), electric glass-ceramic, electric glass-ceramic induction, combined. The number of burners (heating zones) can also be different. Most models, of course, with the usual four. But there are built-in models with one heating zone (most often these belong to the “domino” form factor - see below), with two or three, with five, six ... Naturally, the number of heating zones, as a rule, correlates with the dimensions of the device. The width of a standard cooking surface with four heating zones is about 60 cm.

Naturally, when buying a hob, you should pay attention to some points (we are talking now, in more, about the classic with four heating zones). Gas surfaces should have burners of different diameters and capacities, it is desirable to have burners of the “double crown”, “triple crown” type - all this for greater variability in the utensils used for cooking, for uniform heating of utensils, to speed up cooking processes. It is also worth paying attention to the presence of auto-ignition. It can be fully automatic (the flame is ignited by turning the burner intensity control) or it can be activated by pressing a separate button. The presence of the "Gas-control" function is mandatory - in case of accidental attenuation of the flame, the gas supply is blocked. Grids for dishes above the burners should preferably be cast iron. The gas hobs themselves can be made of enamelled metal (budget models) or stainless steel. There are even completely cast iron ones (Zigmund & Shtain GN 11.61 B, for example). There are also models of the "gas on glass" type - under the burners there is a tempered glass panel, less often a glass-ceramic panel. The cost of four-burner gas hobs in stores is from 3.5 thousand rubles (quite high-quality budget models are of the brands BEKO, Hansa, Zanussi, Hotpoint-Ariston, Candy, Gefest, Indesit). The upper price limit is about 80 thousand rubles (Restart models).

Electric built-in hobs. The most popular now models with a glass-ceramic hob. Including induction heating. Such hobs usually have electronic touch controls, often have a display and/or light indication of activity. various functions and modes. The heating zones of the glass-ceramic electric built-in hob should be of different power and different diameters - to ensure the variability in the use of dishes. It is good if at least one of the heating zones is with two or three circuits. It is convenient when a heating zone with an oval extension is provided (to cook in a roaster, etc.). It is also desirable to have zones of rapid heating (of the Hi-Light type). In the segment of induction hobs, models where there are no clearly demarcated heating zones are gaining popularity. After all induction surface without dishes, it still does not work on it (heating does not occur), therefore, it is possible to create large heating zones on which the user is free to place dishes as he pleases, dishes different sizes, different formats - this often greatly simplifies the cooking process. A common feature of any modern electric glass-ceramic hob is residual heat sensors and indicators. The latter indicate to the user that the heating zone has not yet completely cooled down and the residual heat can be used, for example, to keep the dish warm, they warn against burns. Also, more expensive models of electric glass-ceramic hobs can have various automatic cycle programs in their arsenal that simplify cooking. For example, “auto-boiling” (controlling liquid boiling), recognition of the presence and size of dishes, the “Short-term pause” function (to leave for a while, and return to continue cooking in the same mode), etc. A timer is also useful. It can be with or without turning off the heating zone (then only a sound signal). It is convenient when the timer can work in both modes. The cost of induction glass-ceramic hobs with four heating zones starts from 9 thousand rubles (Hansa, Indesit, BEKO). Induction models, where you can combine heating zones into one or, for example, make two zones, will cost more - from 16 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BHI68303). The cost of "ordinary" glass-ceramic electric hobs - from 6-7 thousand rubles. rubles (Hotpoint-Ariston, Hansa, Zanussi, Nardi, BEKO). The cost of built-in electric hobs with pancake heaters is from 3.5 thousand rubles (Hansa, Gefest, Hotpoint-Ariston).

Built-in kits

The set of built-in kitchen appliances includes an oven and a hob. Most often, both devices use the same heating source (either gas or electricity, but there are exceptions). A feature of the kits is the components that are dependent on each other. Usually the controls for both the oven and the hob are located on the oven control panel. On the one hand, this approach is convenient - all controls are in one place. In addition, this reduces the overall cost of the kit - it is usually cheaper than buying separate (independent) devices with similar functionality. But there is also a minus here - if one of the devices of the kit fails, it may happen that the other one will be unavailable in the context of use (for example, if the control system “flies”, then most likely neither the oven will work, nor the hob). However, of course, it is not at all a fact that something will definitely fail. The cost of such built-in kits is different, depending on the type and functionality of the devices included in the kit. It starts from about 14 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BCCI 62005030). The main brands under which classic built-in sets are produced (with a dependent hob): Hansa, Kaiser, BEKO, Neff (more expensive versions).

Built-in refrigerators

The king of the kitchen is the refrigerator. It can also be built into kitchen furniture. Moreover, you can embed a refrigerator of various form factors. If you want - build in one of the popular two-chamber ones, with a freezer from below, if you want - a small single-chamber one. You can build in both a Side-by-side form factor refrigerator and a French door form factor refrigerator - various models there are many in stores. Functionally, built-in refrigerators are not much different from freestanding ones - all the same modern technologies, contributing to long-term and high-quality storage of products, as well as simplifying the operation of the refrigerator, can also be found in built-in models. This is both cooling and freezing without frost in the working chambers - No Frost. And different freshness zones for products. Chilled air circulation systems for its uniform distribution inside the refrigerator. Functions of supercooling and superfreezing, the "Vacation" mode (only the freezer compartment is fully functional), the possibility of separate temperature control in the compartments of the refrigerator ... In general, as already noted, all technologies found in stand-alone models are available in built-in refrigerators - their specific set depends from the model. Built-in refrigerators, depending on the form factor, can be under the countertop, in a special cabinet, you can decorate with panels designed for this - to match the color of the kitchen. There are, however, models in which the doors seem to remain outside - they are not closed by any panels.

The cost of built-in refrigerators is usually slightly higher than the cost of freestanding ones (in general, a higher price is relevant for all built-in appliances). It starts now with 11.5 thousand rubles. For this money, the user, for example, can purchase a small, 81.5 cm high, single-chamber Electrolux ERN 1200 FOW, which can be built under the countertop (the volume of the refrigerator is 97 liters, the freezer is 17). average cost a high-quality two-chamber built-in refrigerator with a bottom freezer, 170-194 cm high (built-in models are rare above) - about 25 thousand rubles. There are many brands: Bosch, Electrolux, Hotpoint-Ariston, Gorenje, Whirlpool, Liebherr ... The most affordable “refrigeration unit” of the Atlant brands (for example, the XM 4007-000 model) Hansa (BK313.3), BEKO(CBI 7771), Indesit(CB 31AA). When buying a built-in refrigerator, it is especially important to determine in advance the installation site and prepare it. Note that in terms of capacity (in terms of volume, “displacement”) built-in refrigerators, due to the fact that they are built-in, are always somewhat smaller than stand-alone ones.

Russians are slowly evaluating the benefits of having a dishwasher in the kitchen - the share of their penetration into the life of their compatriots is increasing. Now a dishwasher is not necessary at all expensive pleasure. There are many budget models in stores that provide excellent indicators of cleanliness of dishes. In the context of embedding in kitchen furniture, two types of dishwashers are distinguished. There are fully built-in models, with the so-called closed control panel - when all controls are concentrated "on the edge" of the door and are available only when the door is open. There are also models that have a frontal control panel - it “looks” at the user, the door is here and is not completely closed by a decorative panel.

It should also be noted that built-in dishwashers, like stand-alone ones, are divided into full-size (width - about 60 cm, height - about 85 cm), narrow (width - 45-50 cm, height - about 85 cm) and compact (height - about 45 cm, width - 50-55 cm). The latter can be built into the kitchen cabinet, instead of a microwave oven. The capacity of compact built-in models is 5-6 sets of dishes, narrow ones - 9-10, the capacity of full-size ones can reach up to 15-16 sets of dishes. The set of dishes, in accordance with international standards in this field, includes: a flat plate, a deep plate, a dessert plate, a cup with a saucer, a glass, a knife, a fork, a tablespoon, a teaspoon, a dessert spoon. Please note that pots, pans, baking sheets, other kitchenware, are not taken into account in this context.

As in the case of refrigerators, and, in fact, with any kitchen appliances, built-in dishwashers functionally do not have big differences from free-standing models. The same washing programs are available (their number depends on the model), the same additional options(e.g. type autodetection detergent or a delay start timer). To the features of built-in "dishwashers" (in this case- fully embedded) technologies such as "beam on the floor" can be attributed. The point is that while the machine is running, a color indication is projected onto the floor, when the washing cycle is completed, the indication turns off. In some models (for example, the Siemens brand), this technology has been improved - the time remaining until the end of the washing cycle is projected onto the floor next to the machine. In general, as already mentioned, the functionality and performance of built-in "dishwashers" are not much different from those of stand-alone models.

The cost of built-in dishwashers. The prices of the most affordable (budget) full-size models start at about 11-11.5 thousand rubles. Among the relatively inexpensive fully built-in "dishwashers" are models of the brands BEKO (for example, DIN 1531 model), Zanussi (ZDT 12002 FA), Hansa (ZIM 614 H), Indesit (DIF 14), and some others. Budget built-in full-size models with open panel controls cost in stores from 12 thousand rubles (relative to inexpensive models there are brands Electrolux, Simfer, Bomann, Hansa. Prices for a narrow installation start at 8.5 thousand rubles (BEKO DIS 1520). For compact fully built-in models - from 11 thousand rubles (Flavia CI 55 HAVANA). Compact built-in models with an open control panel will cost more - from 20 thousand rubles (Bosch SKE 53M15).

Built-in microwave ovens

Built-in "microwaves" also exist. This kitchen appliance, which has become indispensable, can also be “hidden” in kitchen furniture without any problems. As is the case with most other kitchen appliances, the functionality of built-in microwave ovens is not much different from the functionality of freestanding ones. "Installation" is also divided into solo models (only microwaves), models with a grill and multifunctional (with convection heating and various combined heating modes). The door and control panel of a built-in microwave oven usually remain in plain sight - not “hidden in furniture (you can, of course, completely hide the oven in a cabinet, but this, in our opinion, is not very convenient in the context of ease of use, plus we must not forget about compliance technical standards to ensure proper, trouble-free and safe operation of the instrument). The volume of the working chamber for most built-in "microwaves" is 20-25 liters. The width of the stoves is 50-60 cm. The height is 32-40 cm. But there are also more spacious models, large sizes. Just as in the case of free-standing microwave ovens, built-in control can be completely electronic (buttons, sensors, display) or electromechanical (rotary switches familiar to most users - regulators of time and oven operating modes).

The cost of "microwave-integration" depends, as in the "separate case" on the functionality of the model. The most affordable built-in solo models. For example, a twenty-liter Indesit MWI 121.1 X will cost about 5.5 thousand rubles - one of the most affordable built-in microwave ovens On the market. However, having paid only about a thousand rubles, you can also get a twenty-liter built-in microwave oven, but with a grill - Hansa AMM20BIMH. The most affordable option in the context of the cost in the segment of multifunctional built-in "microwaves" is a thirty-liter microwave oven with convection and a BEKO MWB 3010 EX grill (it will cost about 12 thousand rubles).

Built-in steamers

In the past few years, the segment of built-in steamers has expanded significantly. Apparently, thanks to the ongoing fashion for healthy lifestyle life. A built-in steamer is clearly more convenient to use than the usual traditional freestanding “whatnot”. Built-in steamer gives the user much more culinary options, while it simplifies the process of cooking. Here, for example, you can adjust the cooking temperature - set it to the nearest degree. As a rule, a modern built-in steamer has many automatic modes for cooking and defrosting food. The working chamber of the built-in steamer is most often made of stainless steel. Built-in steamers have a tank for water and for collecting condensate. Many built-in steamers can be directly connected to the water supply (but, of course, you should only do this if you are sure of the quality of the water entering your apartment). Most built-in steamers have auto-cleaning programs, water quality control, and multi-stage security systems. In general, the built-in steamer is a different, higher level of cooking delicious and healthy food. The cost of built-in steamers starts at about 20 thousand rubles (compared to "ordinary" steamers, these are, of course, very expensive devices) - this is how much the Hotpoint-Ariston SO 100 built-in steamer will cost. Siemens HB 25D5L2 built-in steamer costs about 22 thousand .rubles

Built-in coffee machines

In this product segment, you should not expect budget options. A good automatic coffee machine that can make several types of coffee is, in principle, not a cheap pleasure. The possibility of embedding only increases the cost of models. In principle, there are not so many built-in automatic coffee machines on the market, and their prices start at about 38 thousand rubles. The functionality is the same as that of the separate "sisters". A quality coffee machine, whether built-in or freestanding, should be able to prepare espresso, preferably also ristretto, regular coffee, cappuccino and latte coffee. Plus, perhaps, hot milk (frothed or not foamed), hot water supply. Also, in a high-quality modern coffee machine, it is desirable to be able to regulate the strength of the prepared drinks, it’s good if there is still coffee temperature, the amount of the finished drink in the cup. The presence of automatic diagnostics is mandatory - the machine must prompt the user (by displaying information on the display) the need to top up clean water into the appropriate tank, the need to empty the container with "used" coffee, the need to add milk to the appropriate container, and so on. Self-cleaning programs are also needed in an automatic coffee machine. The most affordable built-in automatic coffee machines today: Miele CVA 3650 (in the official online store of the manufacturer costs 36.3 thousand rubles), Hotpoint-Ariston MCK 103 X / HA (about 40 thousand rubles), Siemens TK 76K573 (about 47 thousand rubles).

Built-in domino form factor

In the previous segments of the text, we talked about the main kitchen appliances that can be built into kitchen furniture. However, the material on the kitchen "insert" would be incomplete without information about the technique, called "domino". Domino form factor kitchen appliances are modular built-in appliances, which, as a rule, have standard dimensions(depth - about 50 cm, width - about 30). Each built-in module in kitchen furniture (most often in a countertop) has such dimensions, which can be a two- or one-burner hob, deep fryer, double boilers, or anything else needed in the kitchen. From these modules, the user can assemble the configuration of kitchen appliances he needs. Moreover, if the user wants, he can someday replace one module with another - after all, the dimensions of the modules are often the same, but the functionality (device type) may be different (of course, the possibility of replacing devices should always be considered in each specific case). You can simply swap the modules - if it is more convenient for the user. All this is reminiscent of game manipulations with dominoes - hence the name of this type of kitchen appliances.

Various two- and one-burner hobs (gas, traditional electric, electric glass-ceramic, electric induction), electric grill modules (with lava stones), deep fryers (as well as combined grill fryers, with the possibility of replacing the box with stones on a container with oil) double boilers, modules for cooking according to the principle of "Teppan Yaki", WOK. There are even modules-hoods. Different prices. For example, hobs are quite inexpensive (from 3-5 thousand rubles for gas or traditional electric ones). There is also inexpensive induction. Built-in domino-type electric grills with lava stones are available for 5-6 thousand rubles (the most affordable, for example, Hotpoint-Ariston DZ B IX). A fryer will also cost at least 5-6 thousand rubles (Fagor MF-FRI). Steamers, WOK panels, hoods are significantly more expensive. The main "affordable" manufacturers of domino-type modules are: Hotpoint-Ariston, Bosch, Ardo, Candy, Hansa. Premium models can be found under the brands Miele, Neff, Gaggenau, AEG.

When choosing kitchen appliances, there are two main questions: how does it work and how does it fit into the interior. It is not difficult to solve the second question - it is enough to choose built-in appliances instead of stand-alone ones. It costs a little more, but it allows you to create the perfect design without sacrificing functionality and even save precious centimeters. Yes, and take care of the kitchen with built-in appliances is much easier. Therefore, our good advice that we want to give you is to embed everything that is possible!

  • Built-in appliances are especially relevant for small kitchens (the unity of all surfaces visually facilitates cramped space) or interiors, decorated in classic style where chrome and metal are not appropriate.

What to buy?

The minimum "vital" set of kitchen appliances includes:

  • hob;
  • Oven;
  • Fridge.

Depending on the needs of the household and the area of \u200b\u200bthe kitchen, you can add to the shopping list:

  • Hood;
  • dishwasher;
  • Small household appliances (microwave oven, coffee maker, mixer, food processor, blender and other appliances).

How to choose a refrigerator?

When choosing a refrigerator, first of all, you should consider its size - it depends on how the device is built into the headset or, if you choose a freestanding model, into the kitchen space.

  • For kitchenettes up to 7 sq. m fit narrow, but high models - 45-55 cm wide and up to 2 m high.

It also makes sense to look at small refrigerators built under the countertop.

Here are the main selection principles:

  • The hood must match the size of the panel;
  • The performance of the hood depends on the size of the room. The larger it is, the more powerful the device should be. The power of the hood must be calculated using a special formula (very simple!), Which can be found in Item No. 4 in our detailed guide to choosing hoods.

  • If you choose not a built-in hood, but a domed or inclined one, then it is very important to choose the right design for it. AT classical kitchen better install dome hood(pictured above), and in modern - inclined (pictured below). True, the latter is not very effective, some experts even call it decorative.

  • To save space in a small kitchen, you can choose a hanging recirculation hood. It does not remove air, but cleans it with filters. This hood is compact and allows you to save space for another cabinet.

How to choose a dishwasher? And do you need it?

They say that whoever washed the dishes in the dishwasher at least once will never refuse it again, no matter how inveterate conservatives they may be. Perhaps we will agree with this statement, because it not only saves precious time, but also water. And she copes with washing dishes much better - with a hundred-year layer of fat in a frying pan, she will be finished in one cycle.

  • At the same time, you can really live without it. If your kitchen is very small, perhaps PMM can be omitted. Although ... you can buy a narrow PMM (40-45 cm wide) designed for 10 sets of dishes or a tabletop model for 6 sets.

How to choose the perfect dishwasher?

  • It is advisable to buy a model with a capacity of 2-3 times the required minimum so that you can save dishes and run the appliance only once a day, and besides, fit pots and pans.
  • It is good if the machine can work in half load mode, has a turbo-drying function, and leak protection. The optimal number of programs is 5-6.
