  2. The next phase of production is called drying. During it, the prepared pulp is fed to the conveyor, where it is given a wavy shape, and then dried.
  3. Completely dried sheets are cut according to the standard dimensions of the material, after which they are sent to the impregnation shop.
  4. Sheets of roofing material are impregnated with oil bitumen on both sides under the influence of high temperature and pressure.
  5. Onduvilla are stacked on pallets and then wrapped with shrink film to prevent mechanical and weather effects on the material during transportation or storage.

The conveyor for the production of this roofing material releases one finished sheet in 4 seconds. Ondulin from the moment the pulp is fed to the conveyor to packaging is produced within 45 minutes. During the manufacturing process, all components that make up the coating are checked for compliance with safety requirements. Thanks to strict quality control, it is considered one of the most environmentally friendly materials.

Characteristics

Ondulin is used for roof repair, new flooring, as a lining for ceramic tiles, or for creating fences and water-repellent screens. What is ondulin?

Ondulin was created in France (Europe) at the ONDUliNE company. It is customary to refer to environmentally friendly organic building materials. This cheap roofing is based on ordinary cellulose. A thin profiled sheet, comparable in price to ondulin, burns out as quickly from exposure to open fire as a bitumen-paper coating. A thicker one is a good option and costs more.

More significantly, the metal tile differs from the ondulin competitor in terms of strength. The roof from the first tolerates frost, heat and precipitation better. But it is easier to cut it, it can cover any complex curved roof. A metal profiled sheet is not always possible to bend at the desired angle.
