The circulation pump will immediately turn on - you will hear a faint hum and a loud gurgling and many incomprehensible sounds. This is fine. As long as the pump is airy, it will be so. We take a screwdriver and slowly unscrew the cover in the middle of the pump - as soon as water begins to seep out from under it, we twist it back. After two or three such manipulations, the air will come out completely, incomprehensible sounds will subside, the electric ignition will work and start working. We check the pressure again and, if necessary, add water to the system.

Basically, everything. While the system is warming up, you can do a detailed study of the instructions (if, of course, you have not already done so) and debug the system, which involves starting the boiler. Everything is simple here - the batteries closest to the boiler must be screwed on, and the distant ones should be run to the fullest. Such debugging is carried out by means of control valves installed on the pipe connecting the supply to the heating radiator.

Of course, first of all, the service menu serves to configure, adjust and diagnose the operation of the boiler. In this article I will share how to enter the service menu of the Ariston Class 24 FF boiler and how to change the parameters, as well as give the values ​​\u200b\u200bthat were set in my boiler from the factory.

Before proceeding with any settings, it is important to carefully consider the menu structure, as well as to understand whether you need to intervene and change any parameters. Incorrect intervention can lead to serious malfunctions. For example, there is a parameter that is set depending on the version of the boiler and is used by specialists when replacing the board.

Given all of the above, you must understand that some of the parameters I have given as "Factory Settings" may differ from those you need specifically, and therefore you carry out all these gestures and settings at your own peril and risk.

Ariston boiler menu structure

At first it may seem complicated, but as you figure it out, everything will be simple and clear, so:

Each parameter is identified by a three-digit numeric code. For example 228 (this is just a parameter code that depends on the version of the boiler)

The first digit of the three-digit code means a separate menu group, the boiler has six separate menu groups, each responsible for its own settings section. Here they are.

The second digit of the three-digit code indicates the submenu, and the third is the parameter itself to which access is granted.

For example, the code 228 already known to us stands for: 2 - Boiler settings (this is the Menu), 2 - Basic boiler settings (Submenu), 8 - Boiler version (Parameter).

Thus, by dialing the three-digit code 228, we get access to the set value of this parameter, which, according to the table, can vary from 0 to 5 and depends on the version of the boiler.

I will provide tables with menu codes and a description of what is regulated by a specific code a little lower, but for now let's figure out how to enter the boiler service menu.

For all manipulations with switching modes, only 4 buttons are involved - Plus, Minus, Ok / Menu, ESC.

It is important to understand that not all menu items of the boiler will be available to you, some of them will become available only when additional devices are connected to the boiler, such as external sensors or solar collector.

And most of the menu items are available only by the service code, I'll tell you about it below, but for now, "let's practice on cats"

Our kitties will be values ​​that are open to free access. But first, read how to work with the menu.

How to work with the menu

By pressing the “OK” button once, the number 2 will flash on the digital indicator - this will be the first digit of the future three-digit code (Menu group number)

With the plus and minus buttons, you can change this value from group number 2 to any other group. To fix the selected group for further entering the code number, you need to press “OK” again - after that the second digit of the future three-digit code starts flashing (Submenu)

Having selected the submenu, we fix it by pressing the “OK” button again and in a similar way select and fix the third digit (Parameter)

Everything! Now the screen will no longer display the three-digit code itself, but the set value of this parameter, which can be changed by pressing "plus" "minus". After making the necessary changes, do not forget to fix them by clicking "OK".

Please note that after selecting the desired menu, after a few seconds of inactivity, the three-digit code (to remind you where you are) and the parameter corresponding to this menu will be displayed in turn.

The ESC button is used to exit the settings menu and return to the previous step. The exit is carried out step by step, one press is equal to one step back.

Practicing

Now, if you want to practice, to better understand the switching order. For example, enter the menu code 701, this will turn on the forced air removal mode, in fact, turn on the pump in the boiler for 6 minutes.

When this mode is enabled, the symbol “P I -” will light up on the display. You can exit the “Anti-air” mode without waiting 6 minutes if you press ESC.

How to enter the closed sections of the menu by access code

So, if you understand how to work in the menu, then it's time to move on to more serious things. The vast majority of all settings are closed from accidental interference by an access code. Therefore, in order to proceed with the boiler settings, we perform the following steps.

Press "OK" several times until the indicator shows the value 222 - Then hold "Plus" until the value becomes 234 - then again "OK" - Everything is ready!

Now we have one number 2 constantly lit and another 2 blinks - Which, as you understand, means the following - Menu 2 is on and you can select a submenu, and then a parameter. By setting the desired three-digit code and clicking "OK" we will see the value of the parameter that can be changed.

Use the ESC key to go back and select other menu items and submenus.

First you need to look at the settings of the gas valve.
The boiler in heating operation gives error 104. The pressure in the expansion tank is 1 bar. the pressure in the apparatus does not drop to 1.4bar, the bypass is all right, the turbine and everything else is also normal. Everything is clean line. What can the third digit in the error mean? Boiler Ariston Class chimney. And if we have a pressure sensor? I didn't find it.
If the error is only when working on heating, most likely the malfunction should be looked for in the heating system, I would start by checking the CO filters. Most often not, but there were instances with a pressure sensor. To be sure, check menu parameter 247 and set to 0 if necessary.
We did the installation and launched the wall-mounted boiler Ariston Clas System 15 FF. During operation, it gives error 104. Pressure in the expansion tank 1. The pressure in the boiler 1.5 does not drop. The filter is clean. There is no air in CO. The heat exchanger is washed clean. What could be the problem? Stops 3-4 times a day. We turn on the boiler, and if there is a mode for removing air from the CO, then we drive the device in this mode. We also warm up the CO to the maximum. Air is removed from CO. We pass through the heating appliances and bleed the air out of them through the Mayevsky tap. The pressure will drop a little. We feed to the indicated values ​​\u200b\u200bof the above. Everything. If everything is correct, then
heated to maximum temperature, the pressure in closed system will not rise more than 0.3 bar.

The boiler Ariston BS 24 FF was installed, it worked for 4 years without breakdowns. Now a problem has arisen: If you set the temperature, for example 70, the boiler does not heat up the entire system, although everything was fine before.     501 - Error: No flame found at the time of ignition. There is no gas. There is no contact, or grounding is not used. The voltage between neutral and earth is more than 10 V AC. Malfunction of the ionization electrode. Check the electrical contact and continuity of the circuit from the ionization electrode to the main board. Check or adjust the soft ignition power. Check for a fault in the main board.

    502 - Flame detected with gas valve closed. Check or replace the ionization electrode. Moisture has entered the ionization electrode. Dry and protect the boiler from water vapor moisture. Check or replace the gas valve. Check the characteristics of the power supply and the presence of a ground loop. Check for damage to the main board.

    5P1 - Failed to light the burner on the first try. Check the ionization electrode and its electrical circuit. Check the gas pressure at the lowest and highest power. Check soft ignition setting and (if required) add it. Check the combustion air supply/exhaust system.

    5P2 - The second ignition attempt was unsuccessful.

    Error 5P3 - Failed to ignite the burner on the second attempt. Check the flue gas system. Check the gas pressure at the lowest and highest power.

    Air supply / Smoke extraction

    Error 601 - Thrust sensor triggered (only in models with an open chamber).
    602 - The smoke removal control thermostat has tripped (only in boilers with an open combustion chamber type VMC).
    604 - Fan operation at low speed (less than 1775 rpm - 100 rpm) or Hall sensor malfunction.
    Error 607 - The air relay is on before the fan starts.
    Error 6P1 - Pneumatic relay operation delay.

    Temperature zones

    701 - Short circuit, open in the electrical circuit of the flow temperature sensor (zone 2).
    702 - Short circuit or open in the electrical circuit of the return line temperature sensor (zone 2).
    703 - Short circuit or open flow temperature sensor (zone 3).
    704 - Short circuit or open return line temperature sensor (zone 3).
    705 - Short circuit or open circuit in the electrical circuit of the hydraulic arrow temperature sensor.
    706 - Overheating in temperature zone 2.
    707 - Overheating in temperature zone 3.
