Who embeds household appliances. Built-in appliances for the kitchen: how to choose the best. We select a German set of built-in appliances: the minimum budget for a micro-kitchen

Today, almost every apartment has built-in kitchen appliances. It quickly gained popularity due to its size (smaller than that of conventional household appliances), which allows you to save space in the kitchen, as well as place appliances in any place convenient for the hostess. The only drawback of built-in kitchen appliances is the price, which is ten to twenty percent higher than the cost of conventional appliances.

Built-in appliances save kitchen space

Kitchens with built-in appliances are very ergonomic, practical and do not spoil the interior of the kitchen room.

What equipment is made embedded

On the this moment Built-in household appliances for the kitchen are produced by almost all firms specializing in household appliances. Now we will not focus on manufacturers of embedded equipment.

Refrigerator built into the cabinet - a great option for decorating the room

Today there is such built-in kitchen appliances:

  • refrigerators;
  • washing machines;
  • dishwashers;
  • ovens;
  • cooking surfaces;
  • hoods;
  • microwaves;
  • grills and fryers;
  • Food processors.

Note that it is not necessary to put all of the above equipment in the kitchen. Sets of built-in appliances are formed at the request of the customer. How to choose where to embed and what advantages embedded technology has will be described below.

Large Embedded Equipment

The description will start with large-sized devices.

By disguising the washing machine, you can make a full-fledged work surface out of it.

  1. Fridge. Here we consider not only the refrigerators themselves, but also the freezers. Most often, built-in refrigerators are ordered not for practical purposes, but for decorative ones, so as not to spoil the overall design of the kitchen or if the refrigerator is not in the kitchen, but in a room or corridor. Built-in refrigerators are various sizes. If desired (for convenience), the refrigerator can be installed “separately”, a separate freezer and a separate refrigerator. There is also a third type of chambers - a chamber for storing vegetables and fruits (the temperature in it is maintained at about 0 ° C).
  2. Washing machine. It is convenient to install in the kitchen, in the absence of space in the bathroom. The advantages of a built-in washing machine over a conventional one are the ability to “disguise” it as a kitchen interior, the ability to make a full-fledged working machine above the machine. kitchen surface without fear of damaging the machine.
  3. Dishwasher. A very important detail of the kitchen room, if the family is large and after each meal a mountain of dishes accumulates. The benefits are the same as those of a washing machine.
  4. Oven. The ability to order an “oven” separately from the surface has the following advantages: you can place the oven in a more ventilated part of the kitchen, install it in a way that is convenient for the hostess (the built-in oven can be placed above floor level). The most commonly ordered economical electric ovens.
  5. Cooking surfaces. They can be ordered both gas and electric, with a different number and sizes of burners. If the working surface of the kitchen set is narrow, then a 4-burner hob can be assembled from two 2-burner ones, placing them one after the other.

Small built-in appliances

Small built-in appliances are not considered "main", but their choice is also great.

The built-in microwave will not fall out of the overall decor of the kitchen

  1. Hoods. When using the built-in hood, space is significantly saved, because the installation space corrugated pipe usually sheathed - and an additional cabinet is obtained!
  2. Microwave. A built-in microwave oven can be placed near a table or refrigerator and at the same time "masked" so that the appearance of the oven does not fall out of the overall kitchen decor.
  3. Food processors, grills, etc. Such built-in household appliances are rarely found in the kitchens of houses and apartments, because they can be compactly folded and removed. But if you do not skimp and install exactly the built-in trifle in the kitchen, placing it “under yourself”, you can achieve more comfortable conditions.

How to choose and install embedded appliances

If the project contains built-in appliances, then in the future it will be very problematic to change the interior

When choosing embedded technology, it is worth considering a few “standard” points:

  1. The size of the equipment is determined by the number of people in the family. This applies to both refrigerators and microwave ovens. After all, the size depends on the volume and power of these devices.
  2. All unused appliances should be discarded. For example, if you don’t bake or bake anything, then there is no need for an oven.
  3. When designing and building a kitchen, one should not forget about the supply of communications to embedded equipment, because the operation of appliances requires electricity, gas, water and sewerage (for washing machines and dishwashers).
  4. Remember: if the kitchen project provides for built-in appliances, then after the project is implemented, it is unlikely that it will be possible to change the interior.

Before you get built-in appliances, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the following tips:

It is more objective to take a built-in dishwasher if your family is large, since detergents (tablets) for it are quite expensive

  1. It is better to install the oven so that, without bending over or raising your hands high, you can get a baking sheet.
  2. It is better to choose a surface, oven, microwave oven with a self-cleaning function.
  3. It makes sense to purchase a non-built-in refrigerator, because. in the event of a breakdown, it will be easier to replace or repair.
  4. Installing a dishwasher (both built-in and conventional) makes sense only in cafes or families where the number of family members is more than 6. After all, a dishwasher requires special detergents (usually sold in tablets), which are much more expensive than usual. At the same time, one tablet completely dissolves in one washing cycle, regardless of the number of dishes inside!
  5. When placing a built-in washing machine in the kitchen, it is worth remembering that the machine must be “ventilated” after the washing cycle, i.e. leave the door open for a couple of hours. This may cause some discomfort in the kitchen.
  6. When choosing an oven, you should give preference to electric rather than gas. An electric oven is more economical, safer and has advanced functionality. For example, in an electric oven, you can not only bake and bake, but also dry (meat, fruits, vegetables ...), cook on the grill.
  7. The hob does not have to be installed above the oven, it can be installed side by side for more convenient work.
  8. When choosing a built-in hood, it is worth looking at its work in the store: a number of built-in hoods have a weak draft and do not remove all heat and grease from the surface!
  9. Installing small built-in household appliances in the walls of cabinets or in the wall of the kitchen will save space in drawers and cabinets.

When choosing a built-in hood, you need to check its operation in the store: some hoods do not draw heat and fat well

When designing a kitchen furniture companies usually offer devices in the kit, but they are not always of high quality. Therefore, after creating a project, it makes sense to find out the required dimensions for built-in appliances and buy them separately from the kitchen set in a household appliance store.

Don't worry about job security kitchen equipment: its safety indicators are similar to those of non-embedded technology!

A kitchen with built-in appliances has now ceased to be something unusual, as it has gained popularity among millions of housewives.

It is best to start equipping the kitchen area with the selection of rational and modern household equipment. And in order to harmoniously combine this technical component with the magnificent design of the decoration without unnecessary expenses and efforts, opt for devices built into the furniture.

But how do you make the right decision? large volume products that are marketed to consumers? Look at what you have (room space, finances), determine the fundamental needs (functionality, rules of care) and select the most rational model. We have prepared some recommendations and tips that you can use to choose technical equipment for certain types of apartments.

Economic variation

This equipment will look perfect in a small and modest house. If the footage of the kitchen varies around 6-7 square meters. m., then a minimum set of equipment must be purchased: a refrigerator, a stove and an oven. Pay your attention to this small-sized space, however, everything you need is perfectly located in it, which is required by the hostess.

Lovely letter shaped kitchen layout G, an interior in a light, calm color palette and sophisticated furnishings complete the look.

Naturally, if you are baking and do not use the oven, then it can be easily replaced with a microwave oven. It will take up minimal space, and perfectly cope with its functional purpose for heating food and preparing simple dishes.

But let us turn to the original problem, which involves the rational and efficient use of this room. When choosing a hob, look at the building material of its production. The most cost-effective type of coating is enamel. We have become accustomed to such a surface since childhood. It is in perfect harmony with the vintage style, and does not need significant care. Look at the magnificent decoration with a light wooden set that makes the most of the height of the ceiling and the rational arrangement of appliances in the corner - it is simply impossible to look away from it.

Built-in ovens have different functionality. They can run on gas or electricity. The first option will cost less and will significantly save finances in the process of its use. Accounts from gas companies can increase slightly, and if you have a counter installed, then it makes no sense to worry.

In the event that you have opted for electric model then look at its energy class. Choose branded products "BUT", this means that you can reduce financial costs and the load on wiring when using it.

note that hob and the oven can be located near or at some distance from each other. In the first option, you will bring to life the appearance of an ordinary stove. And in the second use unique opportunity install them in various places at your discretion and desire.

When selecting refrigeration device for a modest room, its dimensions become an important parameter. And if the length and width of different manufacturers may vary slightly, then the differences in height can reach half a meter or more.

Of course, the smaller the volume of the refrigerator, the cheaper it will be. Low devices can be easily placed under a window or in another suitable place, this will save a lot of space. In most cases, there is no freezer in miniature versions, but you can also find a great way out of this situation - buy a modest and small-sized freezer and place it nearby. Look at how you can successfully and rationally arrange them together under the windowsill.

A separate freezer will become an indispensable assistant in the household.

Standard set

The most effective and acceptable variation for apartments with an improved layout.

Even one square meter, added to the area of \u200b\u200bthe kitchen, can significantly expand its functionality. Thus, if the footage of this zone varies from 8 to 12 sq. m., then the complex of equipment used can be expanded by including dishwasher. Low financial opportunities will be able to perfectly cope with such a necessary acquisition. Pay attention to this interior, decorated in a juicy green hue. The space is well designed here, there are many shelves and niches for storage, and the technical component has a high functionality.

The stove can be made using stainless steel, in which case it will have a higher cost than the enamel counterpart, but its ultra-modern and attractive appearance will effectively complement the decoration. It is easy to use and cleans up well. Most models are covered with a specialized layer to prevent the appearance of greasy stains.

The electric oven is widely used in comparison with the gas counterpart, due to a wide range of functions and capabilities. In addition to double-sided heating and a grill device, most of these products are equipped with convection ventilation equipment, which heats the dish evenly.

Some manufacturers supply the market with models with the ability to defrost, three-dimensional heating and cooking several dishes at once.

Any housewife wants to have a dishwasher. It can be fully integrated into the headset or open surface with a control display. It can also be positioned to further save space under the oven, as shown in this image.

Pay attention to the amount of water consumed, electrical energy and means for washing does not depend on the degree of loading of the device.

The built-in hood will be able to get rid of the accumulation unpleasant odors and avoid premature repair of the ceiling surface. It is needed if the kitchen space in your apartment also serves as a dining area.

Many people use decorative equipment instead of built-in equipment. But it is worth remembering that the latter option takes up additional footage, which can be used to good use in the idea of \u200b\u200bshelves or niches.

An important parameter for choosing a hood is its dimensions, it must correspond to the dimensions of the hob. The built-in model does not take up a lot of space in the kitchen, it can be easily pulled out and folded back.

Another achievement of progress and modern technologies is a vertical hood, a wonderful solution for small apartments.

Premium class

This solution is perfect for those who have luxurious apartments with excellent planning, zoning or a private cottage.

If the footage of your home allows you to implement the most courageous ideas and interesting ideas. And financial opportunities - to pick up a set of furniture and appliances from the most the best manufacturers, then you should not stop at technical specifications and functionality of each item. The world leaders in the industry have already taken care of this.

Currently, large and popular brands produce high-quality, modern and high-performance products. You just have to choose elegant and aesthetic option, which will suit the design style and your taste preferences, as, for example, is shown in the following photo.

This room has a refined and elegant atmosphere, and to complete this charming image, the products of many companies will perfectly fit in, which are decorated in a sophisticated and beautiful way.

Naturally, elite kitchen area cooktops with a glass-ceramic surface are suitable. They are highly resistant to dirt, easy to clean and conduct heat remarkably.

Such equipment is equipped with a touch screen for control, as well as special programs and a timer.

Currently on the market are a large number of spacious refrigerators that have luxurious dimensions. There are also original three-chamber designs with two doors and a large number of auxiliary programs: programming, a device for making ice and pouring a foamy drink.

A set of built-in appliances in a spacious home can be expanded with a washing machine, auxiliary freezer, microwave, wine cabinet, espresso machine and other interesting and original devices that are on the market in a large assortment.

You can also install a built-in television display in the kitchen, it can be hidden if necessary and hidden from prying eyes.

Once you have decided what is the most rational and efficient set of furniture and technical equipment to purchase for your apartment, then proceed to implement your incredible idea of decoration.

Of course, the variations in the choice of technical equipment proposed in this material are not universal. After all small space does not mean at all that you can only spend a limited amount of money on it and vice versa. But we believe that after reading this post, you will be able to find a lot of useful and necessary information for yourself, as well as find interesting solutions and ideas for renovating your apartments.

Deciding which household appliances choose for the kitchen - built-in or independent, we are all guided by many arguments in favor of one or the other. For me, integral design and functionality were important, and someone will look for cheaper options, for the installation of which you do not have to redo the entire kitchen, from furniture to electrical wiring and plumbing.

In any case, before making a final choice, you need to analyze the pros and cons of all options, which we will now do.

Main differences

First of all, built-in and non-built-in appliances differ externally. The first looks more modern, and often does not look at all, as it hides behind furniture facades. In an unfamiliar kitchen of this type, you will have to look for which door is the refrigerator or dishwasher, and where the countertop goes into the hob.

This is perfect solution to create interiors modern style. But if the kitchen is conceived in the Provence style or stylized as a rustic one, a stove with an oven on legs, a large dome hood and a pot-bellied refrigerator will look more organic on it.

All of these are design issues.

But there are also such factors that influence the choice of household appliances for the kitchen, such as ergonomics, convenience, functionality, the price of the equipment itself and the cost of preparing the premises for its installation.

  • Built-in appliances take less space . Not much, but less. And for small kitchens, even a few centimeters is a significant space saving;

  • Keeping order in the kitchen with built-in equipment is easier due to the lack of gaps between it and the cabinets, into which something constantly wakes up and spills, dirtying the side surfaces;

  • A set of necessary and useful features the built-in, as a rule, has a more extensive. True, not all options are in demand, but this is another issue that requires close examination;
  • But a higher cost can already be written in another column: with comparable parameters, the same built-in dishwasher or microwave is more expensive than a solo model. In addition, you often have to spend money on a furniture panel for the facade;

  • Finally, before choosing built-in appliances for the kitchen, you need to design the kitchen itself.: plan where and what will be located, find out the dimensions of the installation and the conditions for its connection, supply power to each device, etc. And keep in mind that after completing all these works and ordering furniture, it will be almost impossible to change or swap anything. And in the future, if it is necessary to change equipment, its choice will be limited to the initially specified dimensions.

Another point that often worries a buyer who needs kitchen appliances is which manufacturer to choose? There is no definite answer to this question, but if someone has certain preferences and positive experience in using the equipment of a particular brand, then you don’t have to worry: all companies that produce kitchen appliances have in their assortment both independent appliances and requiring installation.

Feature Comparison

I will briefly go over all the main instruments used on modern kitchen, comparing the functionality and some other parameters of the solo models and the built-in.

Stove or oven with hob

These are probably the appliances that are in every kitchen. In any case, before the advent of built-in appliances, the stove was in every family. But now it is possible not only to separate the cooking and oven geographically, not only to use its own power source (gas or electricity) for each device, but also to abandon one of them completely depending on culinary habits.

Most often, an oven is excluded from this kit, but I have a virtual friend who does not have a hob. She cooks in a slow cooker, double boiler and oven. True, for baking pancakes he uses a mobile single-burner stove, which most of the time lies quietly in the closet.

This is offline use - already huge advantage before the combination stove, but there are other advantages regarding functionality: built-in ovens have more of them.

For example:

  • More heating modes;
  • The convection function is more common;
  • Thanks to tangential cooling, the oven does not heat up from the outside and does not heat the walls of the furniture;
  • Telescopic guides for baking sheets in many models make it very easy to manipulate food during cooking;

  • You can choose an oven with a microwave function and the ability to defrost food.

Among other useful options - programming modes for cooking different dishes, timer, backlight, anti-scald laminated front glass, control lock (child lock) and much more.

If we talk about hobs, then here the built-in has an advantage, since you can choose a panel of any shape, with a different number of burners, some of which can be gas, and the other part - electric / induction. There are also grill burners, fryer burners, various other original "bells and whistles" that are not found on stationary stoves.

Of particular interest is the "domino" system, consisting of autonomous modules for various purposes, but the same size, from which you can assemble the kit you need.

Hoods

Perhaps this is the only type of built-in kitchen equipment that is cheaper than "free hanging". True, we are talking only about hoods for hanging cabinets, which, by the way, are also not superfluous.

There are also other models - built into the table at the hob. There are stationary and with a retractable air intake. Here they are significantly more expensive: if hanging can be bought for 3-4 thousand rubles, then the cost of these starts from forty.

If you are interested in which company’s built-in appliances to choose, then you need to keep in mind that hoods are produced not only well-known manufacturers kitchen equipment, but also companies focused only and exclusively on this segment. That is, the choice is much wider.

At the same time, there are no functional differences between the built-in and solo: both in one and in the other line there are devices with both minimum set options, and with the maximum. And if you choose simple model with mechanical control, then there is nothing special to break in it except for the fan, so there is no point in overpaying for a promoted brand.

Dishwashers

I have already mentioned the price difference - it is quite impressive.

I see no reason to overpay just for the dishwasher to merge with the furniture and become invisible, so in this matter I am for freestanding models.

  • Functionally, they do not differ from built-in ones: they have the same washing modes, the same energy consumption class, capacity, and are protected from leaks;
  • PMM can be installed under the countertop between the floor modules, for this you do not need to “break” the work surface;
  • Their appearance is very cute. In any case, they will not violate the harmony of the kitchen in a modern style. It is more difficult with a classic interior - if you want to keep the style, you will have to hide it behind the facade;

  • In light of the future move, it is also important for me that I can take a free-standing dishwasher with me.

But I would like to say a few words about the manufacturers. I had the opportunity to make sure that the cooler the brand, the more expensive the equipment to maintain and repair. After the warranty period has expired, repairing the PMM will not be much cheaper than buying a new one.

When the heating element burned out at our Boshka, it turned out that it can only be replaced together with the pump, with which they form a single unit. And it does not matter that the pump itself is quite working.

But for Aristons, Indesites, Kandy and other budget brands, the heating element itself is inexpensive, and any handy man can replace it with his own hands.

Refrigerators and freezers

And again "Baba Yaga against".

I don't like built-in refrigerators for three reasons:

  • They have a smaller working volume with equal external dimensions with the usual ones;

  • In case of replacement, you need to try very hard to find a model that fits the furniture module;

  • High price.

As for the functionality, there are no differences here either, which also speaks in favor of stand-alone units. Both here and there there are combined models, separate refrigerators and freezers, side-by-side refrigerators.

But if the kitchen is spacious and there is no need to save space, and the best built-in kitchen appliances will not empty the wallet, then a refrigerator hidden behind furniture facades is a great option.

Other equipment

In addition to the main, necessary in every home, there is also auxiliary equipment for the kitchen.

The presence of which is not necessary, but, depending on the diet in the family, it may be necessary.

  • Microwave. Most often used for defrosting food and heating food. The door of the microwave oven, both built-in and stand-alone type, remains open. But the instruction recommends installing free-standing stoves so that there is free space around them for air circulation, so this small appliance takes up a lot of space.
    If this is a niche in the closet, then there are impressive gaps on the sides and top, which does not look good in my opinion. Better embed. Compare for yourself:

  • Coffee machine. Coffee lovers who cannot imagine themselves without several cups of coffee of different varieties during the day will appreciate the built-in units that can grind grains, prepare latte, cappuccino, espresso, americano and hot milk, which have self-cleaning and self-diagnosis functions.
    Modern free-standing coffee machines can do all this, but they take up a lot of space on the countertop, while the built-in can be placed in a pencil case next to other appliances.

  • Double boiler. Not the most necessary unit for people with traditional eating habits. Occasionally, steam dishes can be cooked in a slow cooker, mantyshnitsa or a desktop electric steamer. But for those who follow a certain diet, built-in appliances will greatly facilitate life, as it is much more functional than any stand-alone model.
    Most of these steamers are equipped with water quality control programs, auto-cleaning, and overheating protection. They can be programmed to cook different dishes. Some models are directly connected to the water supply system. But they cost inhumanely - an average of about 40 thousand rubles.

Built-in kitchen appliances are a clear trend of our time. The main advantage of "built-in" is the ability for the user to create exactly the kitchen that he wants. Built-in appliances in the kitchen give a wide scope for design fantasies, because kitchen appliances, in fact, “hide” in the furniture profile - they are built in completely or partially (depending on the type, see below). In this material, we will talk about what kind of built-in kitchen appliances are now found - what can be built in the kitchen (the main most relevant appliances in everyday life, excluding the washing machine, since it does not apply to kitchen appliances). About what you should pay special attention to when completing the kitchen with built-in appliances.

Built-in ovens

The oven is one of the main kitchen appliances. A good housewife without a good oven is like having no hands. Kitchen stove combines a hob and oven. But in the case of "embedding" these devices in the furniture profile will have to be installed separately. It is not difficult to do this - the instruction manual for any embedded device always contains instructions for installing it (including all the main aspects relevant for embedding equipment). In case of self-doubt, it is better to turn to specialists (large network sellers of household appliances always have their own service department).

As with freestanding stoves, built-in ovens are standard width(about 60 cm), increased width (about 90 cm) or narrow (about 45 cm wide). Depth indicators are usually 50-55 cm. The height of a household built-in oven is usually about 55-60 cm, but there are compact models that are about 45 cm high.

A functionally good modern built-in oven may be better than an oven that is part of a freestanding stove. Functionality is various heating modes (including convection heating, which is mandatory for a high-quality oven, and “joint” modes with it, a grill), the presence of additional “amenities” (for example, skewers). Also, in many modern ovens today there are automatic cooking programs for various products and dishes (cooking algorithms - optimal settings for temperature, time, heating mode) - this is user-friendly. There are combined built-in ovens (a steamer or (and) microwave oven mode can be added to the “oven” modes. Most modern ovens have electronic control with a display (often touch control). It is desirable to have at least one level of installation of a baking sheet with telescopic guides. Required lighting for working area ovens. A modern oven usually has an internal coating that facilitates cleaning - special enamels. The oven cleaning system can be traditional (for budget models), catalytic (partial cleaning occurs directly during the use of the oven - cooking food in it), pyrolytic (contaminants are simply burned out, turn into ash due to very high temperature during the activation of the cleaning function). There are also models of ovens with a steam cleaning system (contaminants are softened by means of steam, in principle, such a “steam bath” can be arranged in any oven). The doors are usually double glazed. But there are models with three and even four glasses - to reduce heat loss and temperature outer surface ovens. Tangential cooling serves to maintain the kitchen furniture in contact with the built-in oven (does not allow it to get very hot due to the operating oven) and stable operation of the electronics of the appliance control system.

Of course, the cost of the oven depends on the functionality and additional accessories, possibilities. However, the cost of any household appliance Of course, it depends on other factors too. For example, from brand positioning in the market. Therefore, models similar in functionality different manufacturers(or different brands, which does not always mean different manufacturers) can vary greatly in cost. There are many built-in ovens in stores today, the price range is great. From 6-8 thousand rubles (individual budget models Indesit, Gefest, Candy, Zanussi) to 300-400 thousand rubles (built-in ovens Miele, Gaggenau).

Built-in hobs

Another “part of the stove” is the hob. As well as without an oven, it is difficult to do without it in the kitchen. Built-in hobs are very different: classic gas, gas type "gas on glass", electric (with traditional metal heaters - "pancakes"), electric glass-ceramic, electric glass-ceramic induction, combined. The number of burners (heating zones) can also be different. Most models, of course, with the usual four. But there are built-in models with one heating zone (most often these belong to the “domino” form factor - see below), with two or three, with five, six ... Naturally, the number of heating zones, as a rule, correlates with the dimensions of the device. The width of a standard cooking surface with four heating zones is about 60 cm.

Naturally, when buying a hob, you should pay attention to some points (we are talking now, in more, about the classic with four heating zones). Gas hobs must have burners different diameter and power, preferably the presence of burners such as "double crown", "triple crown" - all this for greater variability of dishes used for cooking, for uniform heating of dishes, to speed up cooking processes. It is also worth paying attention to the presence of auto-ignition. It can be fully automatic (the flame is ignited by turning the burner intensity control) or it can be activated by pressing a separate button. The presence of the "Gas-control" function is mandatory - in case of accidental attenuation of the flame, the gas supply is blocked. Grids for dishes above the burners should preferably be cast iron. The gas hobs themselves can be made of enamelled metal (budget models) or stainless steel. There are even completely cast iron ones (Zigmund & Shtain GN 11.61 B, for example). There are also models of the "gas on glass" type - under the burners there is a tempered glass panel, less often a glass-ceramic panel. The cost of four-burner gas hobs in stores is from 3.5 thousand rubles (quite high-quality budget models are of the brands BEKO, Hansa, Zanussi, Hotpoint-Ariston, Candy, Gefest, Indesit). The upper price limit is about 80 thousand rubles (Restart models).

Electric built-in hobs. The most popular now models with a glass-ceramic hob. including with induction heating. Such hobs usually have touch electronic controls, often have a display and (and) light indication of the activity of various functions and modes. The heating zones of the glass-ceramic electric built-in hob should be of different power and different diameters - to ensure the variability in the use of dishes. It is good if at least one of the heating zones is with two or three circuits. It is convenient when a heating zone with an oval extension is provided (to cook in a roaster, etc.). It is also desirable to have zones of rapid heating (of the Hi-Light type). In the segment of induction hobs, models where there are no clearly demarcated heating zones are gaining popularity. After all, an induction surface without dishes does not work on it anyway (heating does not occur), so it is possible to create large heating zones on which the user is free to place dishes as he pleases, dishes of different sizes, different formats - this often greatly simplifies the cooking process. A common feature of any modern electric glass-ceramic hob is residual heat sensors and indicators. The latter indicate to the user that the heating zone has not yet completely cooled down and the residual heat can be used, for example, to keep the dish warm, they warn against burns. Also, more expensive models of electric glass-ceramic hobs can have various automatic cycle programs in their arsenal that simplify cooking. For example, “auto-boiling” (controlling liquid boiling), recognition of the presence and size of dishes, the “Short-term pause” function (to leave for a while, and return to continue cooking in the same mode), etc. A timer is also useful. It can be with or without turning off the heating zone (then only sound signal). It is convenient when the timer can work in both modes. The cost of induction glass-ceramic hobs with four heating zones starts from 9 thousand rubles (Hansa, Indesit, BEKO). Induction models, where you can combine heating zones into one or, for example, make two zones, will cost more - from 16 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BHI68303). The cost of "ordinary" glass-ceramic electric hobs - from 6-7 thousand rubles. rubles (Hotpoint-Ariston, Hansa, Zanussi, Nardi, BEKO). The cost of built-in electric hobs with pancake heaters is from 3.5 thousand rubles (Hansa, Gefest, Hotpoint-Ariston).

Built-in kits

The set of built-in kitchen appliances includes an oven and a hob. Most often, both devices use the same heating source (either gas or electricity, but there are exceptions). A feature of the kits is the components that are dependent on each other. Usually the controls for both the oven and the hob are located on the oven control panel. On the one hand, this approach is convenient - all controls are in one place. In addition, this reduces the overall cost of the kit - it is usually cheaper than buying separate (independent) devices with similar functionality. But there is also a minus here - if one of the devices of the kit fails, it may happen that the other one will be unavailable in the context of use (for example, if the control system “flies”, then most likely neither the oven will work, nor the hob). However, of course, it is not at all a fact that something will definitely fail. The cost of such built-in kits is different, depending on the type and functionality of the devices included in the kit. It starts from about 14 thousand rubles (for example, Hansa BCCI 62005030). The main brands under which classic built-in sets are produced (with a dependent hob): Hansa, Kaiser, BEKO, Neff (more expensive versions).

Built-in refrigerators

The king of the kitchen is the refrigerator. It can also be embedded in kitchen furniture. Moreover, you can embed a refrigerator of various form factors. If you want - build in one of the popular two-chamber ones, with a freezer from below, if you want - a small single-chamber one. You can build in both a Side-by-side form factor refrigerator and a French door form factor refrigerator - various models there are many in stores. Functionally, built-in refrigerators are not much different from stand-alone ones - all the same modern technologies that contribute to long-term and high-quality storage of products, as well as simplifying the operation of the refrigerator, can also be found in built-in models. This is both cooling and freezing without frost in the working chambers - No Frost. And different freshness zones for products. Chilled air circulation systems for its uniform distribution inside the refrigerator. Functions of supercooling and superfreezing, the "Vacation" mode (only the freezer compartment functions fully), the possibility of separate temperature control in the compartments of the refrigerator ... In general, as already noted, all technologies found in stand-alone models are available in built-in refrigerators - their specific set depends from the model. Built-in refrigerators, depending on the form factor, can be under the countertop, in a special cabinet, you can decorate with panels designed for this - to match the color of the kitchen. There are, however, models in which the doors seem to remain outside - they are not closed by any panels.

The cost of built-in refrigerators is usually slightly higher than the cost of freestanding ones (in general, more high price applicable to all built-in appliances). It starts now with 11.5 thousand rubles. For this money, the user, for example, can purchase a small, 81.5 cm high, single-chamber Electrolux ERN 1200 FOW, which can be built under the countertop (the volume of the refrigerator is 97 liters, the freezer is 17). The average cost of a high-quality two-chamber built-in refrigerator with a bottom freezer, 170-194 cm high (built-in models are rare above) is about 25 thousand rubles. There are many brands: Bosch, Electrolux, Hotpoint-Ariston, Gorenje, Whirlpool, Liebherr ... The most affordable “refrigeration unit” of the Atlant brands (for example, the XM 4007-000 model) Hansa (BK313.3), BEKO(CBI 7771), Indesit(CB 31AA). When buying a built-in refrigerator, it is especially important to determine in advance the installation site and prepare it. Note that in terms of capacity (in terms of volume, “displacement”) built-in refrigerators, due to the fact that they are built-in, are always somewhat smaller than stand-alone ones.

Russians are slowly evaluating the benefits of having a dishwasher in the kitchen - the share of their penetration into the life of their compatriots is increasing. Now a dishwasher is not necessary at all expensive pleasure. There are many budget models in stores that provide excellent indicators of cleanliness of dishes. In the context of embedding in kitchen furniture, two types of dishwashers are distinguished. There are fully built-in models, with the so-called closed control panel - when all controls are concentrated "on the edge" of the door and are available only when the door is open. There are also models that have a frontal control panel - it “looks” at the user, the door is here and is not completely closed by a decorative panel.

It should also be noted that built-in dishwashers, like stand-alone ones, are divided into full-size (width - about 60 cm, height - about 85 cm), narrow (width - 45-50 cm, height - about 85 cm) and compact (height - about 45 cm, width - 50-55 cm). The latter can be built into the kitchen cabinet, instead of a microwave oven. The capacity of compact built-in models is 5-6 sets of dishes, narrow ones - 9-10, the capacity of full-size ones can reach up to 15-16 sets of dishes. The set of dishes, in accordance with international standards in this field, includes: a flat plate, a deep plate, a dessert plate, a cup with a saucer, a glass, a knife, a fork, a tablespoon, a teaspoon, a dessert spoon. Please note that pots, pans, baking sheets, other kitchen utensils are not taken into account in this context.

As is the case with refrigerators, and, in fact, with any kitchen appliances, built-in dishwashers do not functionally differ much from freestanding models. The same washing programs are available (their number depends on the model), the same additional options(e.g. type autodetection detergent or a delay start timer). The features of built-in "dishwashers" (in this case, fully built-in) include technologies such as "beam on the floor". The point is that while the machine is running, a color indication is projected onto the floor, when the washing cycle is completed, the indication turns off. In some models (for example, the Siemens brand), this technology has been improved - the time remaining until the end of the washing cycle is projected onto the floor next to the machine. In general, as already mentioned, the functionality and performance of built-in "dishwashers" are not much different from those of stand-alone models.

The cost of built-in dishwashers. The prices of the most affordable (budget) full-size models start at about 11-11.5 thousand rubles. Among the relatively inexpensive fully built-in "dishwashers" are models of the brands BEKO (for example, DIN 1531 model), Zanussi (ZDT 12002 FA), Hansa (ZIM 614 H), Indesit (DIF 14), and some others. Budget built-in full-size models with open panel controls cost in stores from 12 thousand rubles (relative to inexpensive models there are brands Electrolux, Simfer, Bomann, Hansa. Prices for a narrow installation start at 8.5 thousand rubles (BEKO DIS 1520). For compact fully built-in models - from 11 thousand rubles (Flavia CI 55 HAVANA). Compact built-in models with an open control panel will cost more - from 20 thousand rubles (Bosch SKE 53M15).

Built-in microwave ovens

Built-in "microwaves" also exist. This kitchen appliance, which has become indispensable, can also be “hidden” in kitchen furniture without any problems. As is the case with most other kitchen appliances, the functionality of built-in microwave ovens is not much different from the functionality of freestanding ones. "Installation" is also divided into solo models (only microwaves), models with a grill and multifunctional (with convection heating and various combined heating modes). The door and control panel of a built-in microwave oven usually remain in plain sight - it is not “hidden in furniture (you can, of course, completely hide the oven in a cabinet, but this, in our opinion, is not very convenient in the context of ease of use, plus we must not forget about compliance with the technical standards to ensure correct, trouble-free and safe operation of the instrument). The volume of the working chamber for most built-in "microwaves" is 20-25 liters. The width of the stoves is 50-60 cm. The height is 32-40 cm. But there are also more spacious models, large sizes. Just as in the case of free-standing microwave ovens, built-in control can be completely electronic (buttons, sensors, display) or electromechanical (rotary switches familiar to most users - regulators of time and oven operating modes).

The cost of "microwave-integration" depends, as in the "separate case" on the functionality of the model. The most affordable built-in solo models. For example, a twenty-liter Indesit MWI 121.1 X will cost about 5.5 thousand rubles - one of the most affordable built-in microwave ovens on the market today. However, having paid only about a thousand rubles, you can also get a twenty-liter built-in microwave oven, but with a grill - Hansa AMM20BIMH. The most affordable option in the context of multifunctional built-in "microwave ovens" in the context of cost is a thirty-liter microwave oven with convection and a BEKO MWB 3010 EX grill (it will cost about 12 thousand rubles).

Built-in steamers

In the past few years, the segment of built-in steamers has expanded significantly. Apparently, thanks to the ongoing fashion for a healthy lifestyle. A built-in steamer is clearly more convenient to use than the usual traditional freestanding “whatnot”. Built-in steamer gives the user much more culinary options, while it simplifies the process of cooking. Here, for example, you can adjust the cooking temperature - set it to the nearest degree. As a rule, a modern built-in steamer has many automatic modes for cooking and defrosting food. The working chamber of the built-in steamer is most often made of stainless steel. Built-in steamers have a tank for water and for collecting condensate. Many built-in steamers can be connected directly to the water supply (but, of course, you should only do this if you are sure of the quality of the water entering your apartment). Most built-in steamers have auto-cleaning programs, water quality control, and multi-stage security systems. In general, the built-in steamer is a different, higher level of cooking delicious and healthy food. The cost of built-in steamers starts at about 20 thousand rubles (compared to "ordinary" steamers, these are, of course, very expensive devices) - this is how much the Hotpoint-Ariston SO 100 built-in steamer will cost. Siemens HB 25D5L2 built-in steamer costs about 22 thousand .rubles

Built-in coffee machines

Don't wait in this product segment budget options. A good automatic coffee machine that can make several types of coffee is, in principle, not a cheap pleasure. The possibility of embedding only increases the cost of models. In principle, there are not so many built-in automatic coffee machines on the market, and their prices start at about 38 thousand rubles. The functionality is the same as that of the separate "sisters". A quality coffee machine, whether built-in or freestanding, should be able to prepare espresso, preferably also ristretto, regular coffee, cappuccino and latte coffee. Plus possibly hot milk (frothed or non-frothed), serving hot water. Also, in a high-quality modern coffee machine, it is desirable to be able to regulate the strength of the prepared drinks, it’s good if there is still coffee temperature, the amount of the finished drink in the cup. It is obligatory to have automatic diagnostics - the machine must prompt the user (by displaying information on the display) the need to add clean water to the appropriate tank, the need to empty the container with “used” coffee, the need to add milk to the appropriate container, and so on. Self-cleaning programs are also needed in an automatic coffee machine. The most affordable built-in automatic coffee machines today: Miele CVA 3650 (in the official online store of the manufacturer costs 36.3 thousand rubles), Hotpoint-Ariston MCK 103 X / HA (about 40 thousand rubles), Siemens TK 76K573 (about 47 thousand rubles).

Built-in domino form factor

In the previous segments of the text, we talked about the main kitchen appliances that can be built into kitchen furniture. However, the material on the kitchen "insert" would be incomplete without information about the technique, called "domino". Domino form factor kitchen appliances are modular built-in appliances, which, as a rule, have standard dimensions(depth - about 50 cm, width - about 30). Each built-in module in kitchen furniture (most often in a countertop) has such dimensions, which can be a two- or one-burner hob, deep fryer, double boilers, or anything else needed in the kitchen. From these modules, the user can assemble the configuration of kitchen appliances he needs. Moreover, if the user wants, he can someday replace one module with another - after all, the dimensions of the modules are often the same, but the functionality (device type) may be different (of course, the possibility of replacing devices should always be considered in each specific case). You can simply swap the modules - if it is more convenient for the user. All this is reminiscent of game manipulations with dominoes - hence the name of this type of kitchen appliances.

Various two- and one-burner hobs (gas, traditional electric, electric glass-ceramic, electric induction), electric grill modules (with lava stones), deep fryers (as well as combined grill fryers, with the possibility of replacing the box with stones on a container with oil) double boilers, modules for cooking according to the principle of "Teppan Yaki", WOK. There are even modules-hoods. Different prices. For example, hobs are quite inexpensive (from 3-5 thousand rubles for gas or traditional electric ones). There is also inexpensive induction. Built-in domino-type electric grills with lava stones are available for 5-6 thousand rubles (the most affordable, for example, Hotpoint-Ariston DZ B IX). A fryer will also cost at least 5-6 thousand rubles (Fagor MF-FRI). Steamers, WOK panels, hoods are significantly more expensive. The main "affordable" manufacturers of domino-type modules are: Hotpoint-Ariston, Bosch, Ardo, Candy, Hansa. Premium models can be found under the brands Miele, Neff, Gaggenau, AEG.

Built-in kitchen appliances, which we talked about in this material, allow you to create a kitchen design that will appeal to you. We draw your attention to the fact that when creating a kitchen project, it is necessary to carefully approach the selection of built-in appliances in order to equip the kitchen with exactly the appliances that you will need. Otherwise, after the kitchen is ready, it can be quite difficult to change something (especially if any special design concept is created, for example, for a small kitchen).

And in our section "Kitchen Appliances" on the site, we are always happy to introduce you to various kitchen appliances in more detail. Stay tuned for news, reviews and tips on how to choose one or another technique for your kitchen.

Built-in appliances have long ceased to be a luxury item, and today they are only practical and ergonomic equipment that can be easily placed in the kitchen, depending on the needs and desires. But before acquiring the functionality necessary for the kitchen, it is worth considering whether it is really worth spending money on built-in appliances or opting for the classic version.

To begin with, consider the advantages and disadvantages of the built-in kitchen.

Firstly, embedding appliances in kitchen furniture is now a fashionable trend, while monolithic models of stoves, refrigerators, microwave ovens and other appliances are a thing of the past. And most importantly, built-in appliances take up less space than monolithic ones and will especially appeal to owners of small kitchens.

But embedded technology also has several disadvantages.:

  1. Often such appliances are fully integrated into the kitchen furniture, and when replacing any built-in appliance, it may be necessary to change part, and sometimes even all, furniture set which means extra work and expense.
  2. Those who like to change the arrangement of furniture, including in the kitchen, will face the problem of rearranging cabinets and cabinets in which a set of appliances is built.
  3. And most importantly, such a technique is much more expensive than analogues made in a monolithic version.

After weighing all the pros and cons of embedded technology, and deciding to purchase exactly this species equipment, it is very important to know how to choose built-in appliances for the kitchen among all the variety presented.

Modern built-in appliances for the kitchen: how to choose

The most important point when purchasing built-in appliances is that the decision on the selection of equipment occurs at the very beginning of the design and interior planning stage, before choosing kitchen furniture.

What to consider when choosing:

  1. Required minimum. First you need to decide on the set of functionality that should be present in your kitchen. It is important to remember that it is recommended to choose a set of built-in appliances based on your needs. For example, a dishwasher or a large cooktop with six burners will be useful for large families, especially with children, and a complete waste for convinced singles. The latter can simply refuse to purchase a dishwasher, and choose a hob with a smaller number of burners.
  2. Financial opportunities. An important thing when buying built-in appliances is the limit of the amount of money that is planned for spending on acquiring the desired functionality for the kitchen. Before going to specialized stores, it is important to calculate how much you can spend on equipment and try not to go beyond the designated limits. In any store, sales assistants are interested in selling the most expensive equipment as possible, so they will offer the most “fancy” models that are not always better than their counterparts with less functionality.

It is not worth overpaying if the model of embedded technology is more expensive only because of the functions that will not be used.

Guided by the above rules when choosing, the purchased built-in appliances will create a comfortable working atmosphere in your kitchen.

A set of built-in appliances for the kitchen: what is included in it

Today, most types of large and small household appliances can be built into kitchen furniture.

Types of embedded technology:

  1. Fridge. The most popular sets of built-in appliances for the kitchen most often include a two-chamber refrigerator with a freezer, but this is not the only option. For small families, a small single-chamber refrigerator with or without a freezer is suitable. It is also possible to place a small freezer separately from a single-chamber refrigerator.
  2. Hob and oven. There are two types of hob and oven installation included in the kitchen appliance kits. The first is dependent, when the hob is built right above the oven, and both of them have a common control. The second type is independent, while the oven can be located at any convenient level and place, and each appliance has its own control. In the latter version, the hob and oven can be operated from different sources. For example, even if the kitchen has gas supply, you can purchase electric oven, which has more precise temperature control than a gas oven.
  3. Hood. The set of built-in appliances for the kitchen can include an extractor hood of 2 types of operation: with air extraction or air filtration. Extractor hoods deliver polluted air to ventilation, where it subsequently leaves the kitchen. Hoods, working on the principle of air recirculation, purify the air themselves with the help of filter elements and return it back to the room. The efficiency of the hood directly depends on its size. Optimal Width should be equal to the width of the hob.
  4. Dishwasher. Dishwashers can be selected in different sizes - the maximum number of sets of dishes that can be loaded at a time. The kit can include various options: from 4, the smallest, to 17 sets - large-sized machines that take up a lot of space. It is most convenient to place the dishwasher near the sink, but there is no strictly installation place for it, it all depends on the size of the hose for draining dirty water.

There are also a variety of small appliances. Coffee machines, microwave ovens, steamers and other small appliances can also be included in the selected kit and placed in wall cabinets or common column. To save even more space, you can choose the two-in-one technique.

Kitchen appliances: reviews

Svetlana T.:

For more than 10 years, a Samsung refrigerator has been in our kitchen. It became an excellent replacement for our old "Minsk-15" and since then it has never been capricious or broken. It freezes well, for winter we fill the freezer with meat, poultry, so it fits a lot and there is still room. Of course, now you can choose a brand new model with various “no-frost” functions and something else, but our refrigerator is still working and working. So we'll use it.
