How to choose a reversible plow for a walk-behind tractor? The best serial MTZ walk-behind tractors and possible attachments Universal rotary plow

A plow for a walk-behind tractor is one of the most useful devices that allows you to plow any soil efficiently, saving a lot of effort and time. Let's look at the features of plow installation, as well as how to make the structure yourself.

The design of any plow, regardless of its size and shape, contains a hitch through which the device is attached to the walk-behind tractor. The hitch can be stationary or universal. The second type of element is considered the most optimal option, since it provides more opportunities for adjusting the plow.

Regardless of the type of hitch, installation of the structure on the walk-behind tractor is always performed in the same order. To attach a plow to a walk-behind tractor, you should proceed in the following sequence:

  1. First, install the walk-behind tractor on stands - you can use bricks or logs for this;
  2. Attach the plow hitch to the towbar of the walk-behind tractor so that the holes on both elements coincide with each other;
  3. Secure the hitch to the tow bar with bolts.

Many beginners think that more reliable fastening plow to the walk-behind tractor, the more efficient the work of the attachment will be. However, practice shows that too rigid a connection will only worsen the quality of plowing. The fact is that when operating a plow, forces act on it that go perpendicular to the plane of the blade. Because of this, resistance arises, which pushes the plow away from the walk-behind tractor. To eliminate this, when installing the plow, you need to leave a horizontal play of about 5 degrees.

The quality of soil plowing depends on how correctly you set up the plow on the walk-behind tractor. Adjusting the attachment is carried out in 3 stages, during which you must:

  • adjust plowing depth;
  • adjust the tilt of the field board:
  • adjust the blade angle.

Plowing depth is the depth of the plow when plowing the soil. As a rule, this value should correspond to the height of the shovel bayonet. If the depth of immersion is not sufficient, then as a result, most of the weed roots will remain underground. If the immersion height is too high, this will lead to mixing of the fertile soil layer with the soil located underneath it. Because of this, the planted plants will be left without nutrients.

The plowing depth is adjusted using three bolts connecting the lock and the plow stand. By lowering the plow down or lifting it up, you can adjust the depth of its immersion in the ground.
The inclination of the plow board is often called the “angle of attack.” This parameter implies the level of inclination of the soil processing plane in relation to the ground surface. The tilt of the field board is adjusted using a screw handle. To do this you need:

  1. Place the walk-behind tractor with the plow on several stands;
  2. Turn the handles so that the field board is on the ground;
  3. Unscrew the handle in the other direction until the board hangs above the ground at a height of 2-3 cm.

If the “attack level” is too high, the plow will cling to the ground, which will lead to constant slipping of the walk-behind tractor. If this parameter is too small, the plow will not remove the layer of soil required for cultivation.

Having completed the previous 2 steps, you can begin adjusting the blade angle. The procedure is as follows:

  1. To begin, place the walk-behind tractor with the plow on the edge of the garden and go through the first furrow. This is necessary in order to determine the depth of plowing of the soil;
  2. While moving, try to maintain a perfectly level trajectory so that the next furrows are also level. To obtain even furrows, you can use a thread stretched between the beginning and end of the row;
  3. Next, install the walk-behind tractor so that its wheel fits into the furrow and the plow is perpendicular to the surface of the ground. To achieve best result, use a square to adjust.

By completing all of the above steps, you will set up the walk-behind tractor plow as correctly as possible, which will help you achieve the best results when plowing your garden.

Types of plows for walk-behind tractors

Plows used for plowing are divided into several types. These include:

    • single-body designs - these products are the easiest to use. They have minimal weight and consist of a small number of parts;

    • reversible or rotary plows - the upper part of such structures is equipped with a curved feather, designed to turn the soil directly during the process of plowing it. A reversible plow is most effective when processing heavy soil;

  • rotary plows – attachments this type has the most complex design. On sale you can find a double-body plow, consisting of two, and a three-body plow, consisting of three shares;
  • disc plows - designs of this type are used primarily for plowing wet soil. The depth of soil cultivation with such plows is slightly less than with previous types of attachments.

Each of the listed types of plows has found application when plowing one or another type of soil. However, the most universal is considered to be a double-sided reversible plow - it shows high efficiency when processing any type of soil.

Before you start making a plow with your own hands, you will need to carefully study the drawings. They should tell you how to attach the structural parts to each other.

The further procedure is as follows:

    1. First, make a ploughshare. To do this, take steel with a thickness of at least 5 mm and give it the required form. Beat the cutting part of the steel blank on an anvil and then sharpen it. This is done in exactly the same way as in the case of sharpening a hand scythe;

    1. Next you will need to make homemade dump. A steel pipe with a diameter of 50 cm and a wall thickness of no more than 5 mm is suitable for this. Cut out the blank for the future dump using a cutter. To give the product the desired shape, beat it on an anvil and process it on a sharpening machine;
    2. Next you need to assemble the plow parts into one structure. Take a sheet of steel whose dimensions should be 50x50 cm and thickness 3 mm. Make a 4-centimeter indent along the edges of the sheet and align it so that you end up with a zero angle;
    3. Next, using wedges, attach the ploughshare to the sheet and make a double-sided spot weld, maintaining an angle of 25°;
    4. Connect the ploughshare and blade as tightly as possible. Between top part the blade and the blade of the ploughshare should form an angle of 8 °;

  1. After this, weld the side shield, plowshare and rear part of the blade to each other. The video will tell you more about making the plow.

After this, take accurate measurements of all angles again. Only after making sure that the connections are correct can you finally weld the plow parts. Once the structure has completely cooled, clean any existing welds.

Reversible plow for walk-behind tractor - manufacturing procedure

As in the first case, to make rotary plow, you need to study the design diagram. Otherwise, even the slightest inaccuracy will lead to low efficiency of the finished attachment.

To make a Zykov plow, proceed in this order:

    1. To make the ploughshare, use sheet steel about 5 mm thick. Cut a piece out of it, heat it with gas burner and bend it as shown in the picture. The ploughshare must be removable. The cutting part of the part is beaten on an anvil and sharpened on a special machine;

  1. Next, make a blade. It can be made from a pipe with a wall thickness of 5 mm and a diameter of 50 cm. Using a template, cut out the dump blank using a gas torch, then sand the product with a grinder;
  2. After this, make a plow body from sheet steel, 3 mm thick, and assemble the structure using welding;
  3. Clean the weld seams with a file and sandpaper.

As a result of the work, you get a universal plow on a walk-behind tractor, with which you can cultivate not only dry, but also wet soil.

How to make a disc plow on a walk-behind tractor?

A disc plow-hiller is a very useful device that allows you to prepare even furrows for planting potatoes and other tuber crops. Before you start making such a plow, study the drawings. Using them you will be able to control the progress of the assembly and avoid mistakes.

The procedure for manufacturing a disc plow for a walk-behind tractor is as follows:

  1. The support corner acts as the basis of the plow. To make it, use an equilateral corner, the shelves of which, when cold, should be brought together at an angle of 70 °;
  2. Weld a sock to the corner. After this, weld the heel through the thrust bar;
  3. Secure the cheeks to the support corner using loops. The distance between the corner and the cheeks should be such that when the cheeks are opened, their end sides do not rest against each other;
  4. Weld the rotating mechanism to the thrust angle so that the supporting part of the mechanism is perpendicular to the angle.

Finally, adjust the plow cheeks. To do this, fix each of them with a vice and adjust so that in the end they are bent in the opposite direction from each other.

Rotary plow on a walk-behind tractor - manufacturing features

Rotary plow for walk-behind tractor with support wheel– this is the most complex type attachments used today are used for plowing. When working on it you need to be extremely careful, since the slightest mistake will lead to poor quality soil treatment. The manufacturing procedure is as follows:

  • The working tool is a milling cutter, which can be made from steel pipe and metal plates. The plates must be welded to the pipe in such a way that when they rotate, they grind the soil and throw it to the side;
  • Next, make a frame for the plow gearbox. It can have any shape, the main thing is that moisture and debris do not get inside the gearbox;
  • It will not be possible to make a gearbox - you need to purchase it. After this, the mechanism must be connected to the gearbox of the walk-behind tractor;
  • Since the rotary plow is a fairly large design, separate wheels will be required to use it. They can be taken from an old moped or motorcycle.

A ready-made plow for a walk-behind tractor will serve well for many years. The main thing is to change the oil to lubricate the gearbox on time.

Do-it-yourself plow for a walk-behind tractor from a horse-drawn one - how to make it yourself?

Unlike other types of implements, a horse plow can be made almost entirely from wood. The only metal part is the ploughshare, since the wooden element will quickly become unusable due to regular processing of the soil. The plow manufacturing algorithm is as follows:

  1. First take 2 wooden beams, about 10 cm thick - they will be used to make handles. Rubber pads must be put on the upper part of the handles;
  2. Connect the handles to each other at right angles so that when plowing you can firmly grasp them with both hands;
  3. Connect the lower parts of the parts using self-tapping screws;
  4. Take another beam, 20 cm thick. It should be curved so that its upper and lower ends are parallel to each other;
  5. Attach the ploughshare to the lower end;
  6. At the upper end, install a hitch, which can also be made from small wooden blocks;
  7. Secure the double part of the handles in the middle.

Despite the simplicity of the design, the horse plow shows quite high efficiency. True, using it for plowing wet soil is quite dangerous, since wooden elements may simply break due to the weight of the soil.

Regardless of the method you choose for making a plow, each homemade structures can be used to work with motoblocks Krot, MTZ, Salyut, as well as Neva MB-1 and MB-2.

To understand what it is reversible plow, and how to make a reversible plow for a walk-behind tractor, let's look at the plowing process - the usual turning of the earth, i.e. what was below turns out to be above, and vice versa.

After the plow passes through the ground, a furrow remains, dividing the area into plowed and not. Depending on the direction, the plow turns the earth either to the left or to the right. There are disadvantages when working for small areas land. When you plow into a dump, when you turn the tractor, you get a small mound.

And when they plow sideways, they get a furrow in the middle. As a result, the garden turns out uneven. To avoid this, when using a walk-behind tractor or a walk-behind tractor, they try to back away and plow again. But there is idling, because when the tractor goes in one direction, it plows, but not in the other. To solve this problem, various reversible plows were invented. There are quite a lot of designs of such plows, but when using them, fuel and time are significantly saved and work becomes more convenient.

Installation of a reversible plow to a walk-behind tractor

Let's look at the design of a reversible plow for a walk-behind tractor using a specific example.
The plow is designed for crumbling and turning the arable layer, and is recommended for use on soils that have already been cultivated.

Main characteristics of the plow

  • Plowing depth 20cm;
  • Width of ploughshare (grab) 22 cm;
  • To adjust the plowing depth, there are 3 holes in the stand;
  • Height 76 cm;
  • Width 32 cm;
  • Length 48 cm;

The plow is connected to the walk-behind tractor using an appropriate hitch.
The plow must be adjusted so that the side edge of the field board during operation is parallel to the direction of movement, i.e. along the wall of the furrow. And the support triangle formed by the cutting edge of the ploughshare, the heel and the bottom edge of the field board must be in a horizontal plane.

In order to adjust the plowing depth, you need to adjust the angle of inclination of the plow body in the vertical-longitudinal plane. To do this, use additional holes in the mini-coupler bracket and the plow stand, or use the hitch adjusting screw.

During operation, you can adjust the correct installation of the plow. The design of this reversible plow allows the soil layer to be dumped in one direction, both during forward and reverse strokes. To change the body of the reversible plow, it is enough to rotate it 180° around its axis and lock it in the working position. Before you start working with the plow, you need to equip it with lugs to ensure reliable adhesion of the unit drive to the cultivated soil.

Safety precautions when working with a reversible plow

Before starting work, check that everything is securely tightened threaded connections. Remove all foreign objects from the treated area. When maneuvering the machine with the plow installed, as well as when reversing, be especially careful. To avoid injury from protruding sharp corners and edges, be careful when working safe distance to the gun.

Wear protective gloves when servicing the implement. When you have finished your work, you need to clean the plow. All parts and threaded connections that do not have paint coating, needs to be treated with lubricant. The plow must be stored indoors.

Do-it-yourself reversible plow for walk-behind tractor, drawings and description

If there is no experience in this type of activity, you should first consult with a specialist to understand the main complexities of the process.

Each type of plow has its own design features. The simplest design has a single-body plow, and this best option for beginners who do not have the appropriate skills in this matter.
At the top of the reversible plow body there is a curved feather, which allows you to process the overturned layer of earth. Therefore, this product is optimal for processing hard soil.

In the process of manufacturing such a structure, it is very important to follow all instructions and carefully follow the drawing parameters. The slightest inaccuracy will significantly affect the characteristics of the product, and during operation will negatively manifest itself in the results of the work.

To make a plow you need to use steel 3-5 mm thick. The ploughshare is made first. It must be removable. The cutting part must be beaten on an anvil and sharpened.

The next thing is to do the dump.

A pipe with a diameter of half a meter and a wall thickness of 5 mm is used as a blank. Using gas welding, the blade blank is cut out according to a template and subjected to grinding with a grinder. After manufacturing these two parts, the plow body is made from steel 2-3 mm thick and the structure is assembled.

Adjusting and setting up a plow for a walk-behind tractor

After the plow is made, you need to configure it. But before that, you need to configure the walk-behind tractor. After the walk-behind tractor has been taken out to the field, the wheels with rubber tires must be removed and replaced with wheels that are equipped with lugs.

Otherwise, during plowing, the walk-behind tractor with a reversible plow will begin to slip due to soil resistance. Then the plow for the walk-behind tractor is attached to attachment. To adjust the device, the nuts on the mount are not fully tightened. After which, using two metal pins, fix the unit with the mounting bracket of the walk-behind tractor. From maximum correct settings The quality of plowing directly depends.

Basic steps for adjusting the plow

To carry out balancing, the walk-behind tractor is installed with its wheels on specially prepared stands. The depth of plowing depends on the height of these stands. For winter tillage, the height of the stands is 20-25 cm, for spring tillage - approximately 15-20 cm.

Using the adjusting bolts, you need to set the angle of the plow. We make sure that the “heel” of the plow remains parallel to the ground surface.
After securing the plow, the walk-behind tractor is placed on the ground. The control handles are adjusted to the height of the plowman's lower back.
On last stage We evaluate the correctness of plow settings using an experimental method.

We plow two or three furrows and determine the cutting depth, the distance between the ridges and the quality of the soil dump. If the distance between the furrows is more than 10 cm, or they overlap, then repeat the adjustment.

The plow is an integral part of the walk-behind tractor and is required for use by every owner in Belarus. It is worth noting that they are different, and you should choose carefully.

There are plows:

  • Reversible or they are also called rotary. Plowing is carried out using a blade;
  • Disc (aka rotary). Plowed using rotating discs.

From the manufacturer

The official website presents one type of reversible plow - the universal PU-00.000-01 for the MTZ-09N walk-behind tractor. It is suitable not only for the MTZ-09N model, but also for any other MTZ walk-behind tractor. The universal plow is used by Belarus to plow any land, including virgin lands.

Features of the universal plow PU-00.000-01

  • The reversible plow can be used both on new lands and on already plowed ones;
  • The weight of the reversible plow is only 16 kg;
  • The width of one track when plowing is about 30 cm, which means you can work with large areas;
  • It is possible to work at a depth of up to 25 cm, the immersion is adjusted using special holes on the stand;
  • Thanks to its shape, it is possible to use Belarus for digging up root crops;
  • The low weight of the structure makes it easy to transport;
  • Attaching to the MTZ walk-behind tractor occurs using a conventional hitch.

The main design feature of this model is the shape of the reversible plow. The ridge in the lower part captures the earth, and in the upper part it expands and dumps it. Thanks to this, the soil is thrown to the sides of the trench and is not backfilled.

It is made of high quality steel, and the design itself is simple and durable. Thanks to this, long-term reliable operation of the equipment is achieved instead of Belarus for a long time and under heavy loads.

Analogues

Several other similar models of plows are compatible with Belarus.

Plow P1-20/3

This reversible plow is produced by the Mobil K company from Gagarin. It is made in the same shape as the PU, but only the one-time grip of the ploughshare is fixed and is 21.5 cm. And this is almost a third less than that of a universal plow.

The structure weighs 8 kg. It is worth using the P1-20/3 plow only when working in Belarus with small areas.

Double-furrow reversible plow

This model has features in its configuration. The share of this plow is made in the shape of a feather. Its tip enters the ground, and the earth is not immediately thrown to the sides, but turns over several times in front of the plow, and then leaves. Thanks to this, better mixing of the top layer of soil is achieved.

The maximum plowing depth is up to 20 cm, the width of the ploughshare is 15.5 cm. This is less than other models, but the plowing results in better quality.

This design weighs 12 kg, and the operating speed of Belarus together with a reversible plow ranges from 2 to 5 km/h. It is produced in Russia.

Homemade option

The design of the reversible plow is simple. Its main working part is the ploughshare. He plunges into the ground and plows. For MTZ-09N walk-behind tractors, you can do it yourself.

Stages of constructing a homemade plow

  • This will require a steel plate. The metal must be thick from 3 mm. Because this element cuts the soil and there will be a lot of pressure on it.
  • Next you need to make a blade. A metal pipe with a diameter of half a meter is perfect for its manufacture. It is enough to cut out a moldboard template from cardboard, transfer it to the pipe and cut it out. Do not use too thick metal; the recommended thickness of the plowshare for normal plowing is from 3 to 5 mm.
  • Make with square metal pipe L-shaped hitch.
  • The next step is to connect the blade to the plowshare by welding, and weld a small piece at the back square pipe in order to connect it to the hitch using bolts. Then, using these bolts, it will be possible to adjust the depth of the plow.

Also on the forums there is a large number of various schemes, drawings and videos on how to assemble a plow for Belarus with your own hands.

Plow adjustment

A properly adjusted plow is the key to successful plowing. Here's how it's done:

  1. Depth adjustment. The recommended level of immersion of a plow into the ground when plowing is considered to be 5-7 cm. Firstly, this is the average level of immersion of a shovel. Secondly, in this case it is impossible to touch the clayey rock that may be located below. Thirdly, at such a depth of plowing, the roots are not covered big amount lands, and during winter they freeze.
  2. Adjusting the "angle of attack". This moment involves adjusting the angle of immersion of the ploughshare into the ground. If it is too big, instead of plowing it will be used as an anchor and simply pull Belarus towards the ground. If it is too small, it will slide across the surface instead of plowing.
  3. And one more piece of advice. The first track should be as smooth as possible. Because everyone else will follow it. After you make the first track, place the MTZ walk-behind tractor with one wheel in the track and continue working. If it is uneven, additional adjustment will be necessary.

Reviews

There are many reviews on the Internet about the work of plows, for example:

Paul:

“After I made the plow with my own hands, I began to use it. But at the same time I forgot to sand it. As a result, dirt stuck to the plow and it worked like a bulldozer. As a result, I had to clean off all the rust and scale, then it became much easier.”

Maros:

“It is important to maintain the same tire pressure. Judging by my experience, a pressure of 2 atmospheres is considered ideal. If it is less, then the wheels will quickly wear out and come apart under the weight of Belarus himself; it is better to have them over-inflated than under-inflated. If the pressure is not the same, then the MRT will constantly go in one direction. And even better (if possible) replace conventional wheels with lug wheels, and work with the plow will go clearly and smoothly, the main thing is to adjust it correctly.”

Hillers

Hillers allow you to cut furrows for planting crops, but their main use is hilling up potatoes to get a larger yield.

There are several types of hillers:

  • Negotiable. This is the simplest type of hiller, which works using two plows.
  • Disk. This option is more effective. It works using two rotating disks. Which rotate and loosen the soil.
  • Active. This special kind hiller, which works with the help of propellers. If disk and reversible hillers just turn it over upper layer soil for potatoes, then this one first chops it up and only then throws it away.

From the manufacturer

The official manufacturer offers one version of the hiller - the universal reversible hiller OU-00.000-01.

It looks like two connected plows. It is possible to adjust the width of the rows by rearranging the plows at different distances from 45 to 70 cm. The plow is immersed in the ground to a depth of 10 cm. The average speed of movement of Belarus with a reversible hiller is 4 km/h. The structure weighs 20 kg.

Analogues

The best analogue for any factory mounted equipment for MTZ is Lida products. Including hillers.

The OK-2 hiller is presented by a Lida company and has similar parameters to the universal hiller, except for the immersion depth. The maximum immersion of this unit is 12 cm. Accordingly, the speed in this case drops to 3 km/h.

Unfortunately, there are no special disc hillers for the MTZ walk-behind tractor.

You can always choose a universal option for a walk-behind tractor that will work successfully on it. The main thing is to choose a hitch.

The Ukrainian company Agromotorservice offers a large amount of universal equipment, including disc hillers. Disc sizes can vary from 18 to 36 cm. Their maximum immersion level can be half the diameter. The disadvantage is that they are designed to process only 1 row, while reversible hillers work with two rows at once.

Homemade option

Making a disk hiller is problematic; a reversible hiller is much simpler in its design. To make it, it is enough to have two plows on hand, which are connected with bolts not to the Belarus, but to the frame. And the frame itself is already connected to MTZ.

The frame should be made from a square tube in the shape of the letter “T”. This design is simple but effective and has been known since Soviet times.

What kind of oil to pour into a walk-behind tractor engine

There are several options for oil that can be poured into a walk-behind tractor engine:

  1. API CJ-4. Used for units with a capacity of 10-12 horsepower.
  2. API CH-4. It is suitable for four-stroke diesel engines.
  3. API CF-2. This option Suitable for equipment that is operated in difficult conditions. The composition contains additives that protect internal engine parts from rapid wear.

Fill the box with oil up to the marked mark without spilling it.

How to make a walk-behind tractor heavier

To weight the unit yourself, you need to prepare:

  • 2 weights of 5 kg;
  • 2 pancakes 10 kg each;
  • 2 clutch baskets taken from a car or tractor;
  • a piece of hexagonal solid profile;
  • 2 walk-behind cotter pins.

Procedure:

  1. Cut 2 pieces of 5 cm each from the profile. Drill holes in them for the cotter pins.
  2. Attach the cut piece to the weight plates.
  3. Insert the hexagon into the hole from the neck and weld it.
  4. Attach the clutch basket to the plate by welding.
  5. Attach a weight to the clutch.
  6. Paint everything and let the paint dry.
  7. Do the same steps for the second wheel.

This method allows you to make the walk-behind tractor 50 kg heavier.

You can add weight to the body of the equipment:

  1. Make a frame or take a pancake (25 kg) and weld it to the body, and then secure it with a bolt.
  2. You need to cut a hole in the frame to drain the oil.

Attachments

A wide range of attachments can be attached to walk-behind tractors, such as a cultivator, tractor adapter, harrow, etc.

Adapters

The adapter for the MTZ walk-behind tractor is installed for the convenience of the driver. Such equipment allows the user to work in a sitting position rather than standing. It helps to increase the speed of work, for example, if previously the speed was 5 km/h, then with the adapter it will increase to 10 km/h.

Trailers

This additional equipment is used for transporting small-sized cargo.

The dimensions of the trailer for the walk-behind tractor should be as follows:

  • length - 1.4 m;
  • width - 1 m.

Such equipment is capable of transporting loads weighing up to 350 kg.

Milling cutter

A tiller is equipment designed for the effective cultivation of dense and heavy soils and the removal of weeds by winding.

Types of cutters:

  • six-tooth;
  • seven-toothed;
  • internal;
  • external;
  • collapsible.

Plow

A reversible plow is necessary for plowing the soil. It is attached to the walk-behind tractor using a hitch.

Plow adjustment includes:

  • depth adjustment;
  • adjusting the angle of inclination of the unit itself and the field board relative to the nose of the ploughshare.

Digger

It is used for easy and quick harvesting of large areas of potatoes, carrots and other root crops.

The potato digger diagram includes such details as:

  • bipod;
  • field strip;
  • cultivator tip-paw;
  • teeth

To make a digger yourself, you need:

  1. Insert the digger output axle into the left side hole of the housing.
  2. Install the sprocket with bearing, spacer ring and intermediate spacer sleeve.
  3. Insert the input shaft into the housing hole on the right.

Mower

A rotary mower is necessary for cutting grass.

The advantages of this additional equipment:

  • mown vegetation is placed in windrows;
  • the disks have a simple design;
  • it is easy to repair.

snow blower

Used to clear roads and areas of snow in winter period. Recommended operating mode is 4 km/h.

During operation, it is necessary to take into account the thickness of the snow cover.

The snow blower's instructions state what drift thickness the bucket is designed for.

What you can do with your own hands

You can make the following additional equipment for the walk-behind tractor yourself:

  1. Rake for cutting grass. Wide band sheet iron you need to cut them into 10 cm pieces and weld them to the plate in several rows with an interval of 3-4 cm. Weld long rods to the same plate for attaching to the walk-behind tractor frame. For smooth running, homemade rakes can be supplemented with rollers.
  2. Plow for clearing the area of snow. It is made from 2 pieces of channel welded together. The snow blower is attached to the front of the body using bolts.
