Minecraft offers unlimited possibilities including co-op play. Surviving or being creative is much more interesting in co-op with friends. There are several ways to get together in co-op mode:

There is also an option to create your own dedicated server, but we will consider this possibility in a separate guide.

How to play with a friend on the same server?

This is the easiest way since the only requirement is the same minecraft version you and your friends. You can choose both a "clean" server, on which the game runs almost unchanged, and a thematic version. For example, you and your friends can find yourself in the midst of a zombie apocalypse or take part in a full-fledged "royal battle".

First you need to select one server and copy its address, then launch Minecraft and select "Multiplayer" in the main menu.

You will see a list of available servers. The best option there will be a manual entry of the address, this ensures that you and your friends will definitely end up on the same server. To do this, click the "By address" button and in the window that opens, paste the previously copied server address.

After a short connection procedure, you will be on the start screen. To start the game you will need to set a password for your account. To do this, you need to call the chat window in the game (the English letter "T" on the keyboard) and write "/ reg (your password)". Remember this password in order to continue playing on the server without any problems.

Most likely, you will meet a friend in a spawn location. Coordinate your actions using chat or voice so as not to get lost when moving to other territories.

How to play Minecraft on LAN?

If you and your friend are in the same room, then you can play Minecraft together even without an Internet connection. You can connect two computers directly with an Ethernet cable or connect them to one WiFi networks.

For playing by local network you need an exact match between the versions of the game and all installed mods for all participants in the multiplayer.

When connecting with a cable, you will need to set the correct IP addresses. First, go to the Control Panel. The easiest way to get there is to follow the following sequence of actions:

  1. In the window that opens, enter control.

Go to the panel, select the "Network and Sharing Center" item there.

In the window that opens, click "Change adapter settings" in the left column.

In the window that opens, right-click on the Ethernet connection icon and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. The settings menu will open, in which you will need to select the item "IP version 4 (TCP / IPv4)".

In the settings window that opens, enter the following parameters:

  • IP address - 168.0.1;
  • Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0;
  • Default gateway - IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4);

Other players should do the same. Their IP address must be in the format 192.168.0.X, where X is any number between 2 and 255.

When connecting to a Wi-Fi network, it is better not to set the IP address manually, but look through the console. To do this, you need to perform the following actions:

  1. Press Windows+R on your keyboard.
  2. In the window that opens, enter cmd
  3. will appear command line, in which you need to enter the ipconfig command.

A list of parameters will appear in which you will need to find a block with a description of the wireless network adapter. Rewrite it to IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Knowing your IP address on the local network, you can start creating open world. First, create a standard minecraft game. After that, press Esc and select "Open for web".

This will allow other players to join you on the map. In the lower left part of the screen, the inscription "Port of the local server XXXXX" will appear, where instead of x's there will be random number. Write it down and tell other players.

To join your world, other members must complete the following steps:

  1. Select the "Multiplayer Game" item in the main menu;
  2. Press the "At address" button;
  3. In the window that opens, enter your IP and port number separated by a colon. For example, 192.168.0.1:56234.

Co-op Minecraft via Hamachi

The Hamachi application allows you to create a virtual local area network with users anywhere in the world. Therefore, a joint game in Minecraft using this program will be almost the same as in a regular LAN.

The main differences are the need to install Hamachi for all players and registration in the system. It's very easy to do, just download the free app and follow the instructions. After installation, you will need to create a network by coming up with a unique name and password for it.

A new game is always great opportunities and bright emotions. It's great to install it and go to the end, solving entertaining tricks and solving the tasks. At first, everything seems new, interesting, unusual, but over time, the gameplay becomes boring, while remaining loved and interesting. What can be done? Connect friends to solve current problems and start conquering virtual spaces with them.

Minecraft is exactly the kind of game in which it is much more interesting to act not alone. Connection is possible via local or public network. Since not everyone knows about the methods of team play, this informational review has been prepared. Let's learn how to play Minecraft online with a friend.

About two ways

There are two effective ways- more complex and very simple. Let's start with the hard one:

  • Open the game, create your game world.
  • Press the exit key and open the world for the network (there is a corresponding item in the menu).
  • Set the settings similar to those of the game world.
  • Reopen the game world with a special button.
  • Enter the IP address of the PC in the chat (to do this, open the game, select the letter "T" in the menu and enter a numerical value instead of zeros).
  • Give your IP to a friend so that he can connect to a joint game.

The second method is much simpler and also "works". To start cooperative friendly gameplay:

  • Start the game and create a new world. Open it for the network with the previously specified working settings.
  • Launch another Minecraft, go to the game under a different nickname, open the menu item "Multiplayer". Rewrite the IP (the arrow points to it) and send it to a friend.

Last possible variant- download launcher from the site Survival minecraft and play with your friends with it.

Via internet or local network

The easiest way to connect is via the Internet. AT this case you will need to decide on the server, download the client, register the server address when logging in and start the game. Do not forget to secure the territory if you prefer team games only with acquaintances. There are a huge number of game servers, and most of them are available around the clock. There are servers heavily loaded with players, and there are completely free sites.

It is even easier to configure access over a local network. To do this, you will need a cable, two or more PCs, a game client (the Internet may not be available). Computers are connected to each other using a cable, in the network control center you will need to go to the section for changing adapter settings, and then LAN connections. Next, select "Properties" - "Network" and install protocol 4 (TCP / IPv4). Mark it as "Next IP address" and write "IP 129.168.0.1."; "Subnet mask 255.255.255.0"; "Main Gateway 192.168.0.2". The procedure must be carried out on both computers.

To begin with, you only need a friend and Minecraft itself. For starters, one of you, for example, you create a world in which you want to play together. It is also very important that you and your friend have the same version of Minecraft. For example, if you created a world on version 1.8, then your friend must also have version 1.8. Now you should find out your ip, you can do it on this site, or just type my ip on the Internet. Here is a screenshot from that site (2ip), the arrow shows where your ip will be (click on it and it will be copied) -

After you have recognized and copied your IP, temporarily write it down somewhere, for example, in a notepad. And now go into the world and open it to the network, ESC -> Open for web -> choose the options you want and open the world online. Now you should have a port in the chat, for example - 51166 . See screenshot -

Then we take the ip that you learned from the previous paragraph, after the ip we put a colon (the colon is ' : ‘) and insert the port after the colon. Something like this should work out, I came up with an IP on the go (this is not my IP) - 28.355.85.212:51166 . Now transfer this to your friend and your friend should go into Minecraft in Network game -> Add -> and paste there what you threw to him, for example, I have this - 28.355.85.212:51166 . See screenshot -

That's all, if everything is ok, then your friend will have your world in the list of servers and he just enters it and that's it, you can play together. The description of the server will look something like this (it will most likely be at the very bottom of the server lists) -

Now you can play with your friends!

Note, after you have opened the world over the network, do not exit it, because when you exit, the port will close and your friend will not enter. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments or write to my group

When you have learned to play MineCraft well, mastered all the basics of the game, got to know its inner world, you can go to online game, which can be played both with people from other cities on Internet servers, and with friends on a local network. In this article I will tell you how to play Minecraft on a local network and on the Internet.

How to play minecraft online?

You can play MineCraft on the Internet on servers specially created for this purpose, you can find them on various online monitoring and ratings. To start the game, we need the game itself (preferably latest version), a powerful computer (otherwise the game will slow down), high-speed Internet access (a channel of 1 Mb / s will be enough) and the address of the game server. So, let's begin. Launch the game, enter it under your login, and then select the "Multiplayer game" item (second button). A connection window will appear in front of you, in the first line we enter the address of the server on which we will play, after which we click on the "Connect" button, in the English version of the Minecraft game with skins http://minecraft-mods.pro/skins/ "Connect" and we get to the server. Once on the server, you will find that you cannot do a single action, it happened because you are not registered on this playground, this is done quite simply, in just a few steps. To register on the server, click English letter“T”, we will open a chat, enter the following command in it “/ register pass”, where we change the word “pass” to our own password, that is, it looked like this for me - “/ register trash784”. After a couple of seconds, the server will issue a confirmation of your registration in the chat and allow you to enter the game, to do this, enter the command “/login pass”, where we change the word “pass” to your password. It will look something like "/login crosh". After registering and entering the server, you can start playing, performing various activities and engage in any business, from the construction of buildings and farming, ending with their destruction and travel around the game world.

You can also play MineCraft over a local network with friends, for example, this is quite relevant for playing for fun or just when there are problems with the Internet (for example, engineering works). To play on a local network, we need several computers (from two or more), an Internet cable of a decent length, if there are a lot of computers, then also a router or a Wi-Fi access point. We connect all computers with a wire, after which we go to the network settings. AT windows 7 is done like this: Start -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings. We find the name of our own network, open the properties, the “Network” tab, first select the TCP / IPv6 setting, open small window, uncheck, save, open the TCP / IPv4 settings, go the following way: Properties -> Use the following IP address. Enter the following parameters:

  1. IP address: 192.168.0.1
  2. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
  3. Default Gateway: 192.168.0.2
  1. Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.2

After we press the button save, "ok" and close the settings. See the server setup below, after setting up the local network for windows xp. Settings for Windows XP: First, open the Control Panel and go to the following path: Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Local Area Connections. Open the properties, the General tab, open TCP / IP, a window with properties will open, select the item "Use the following IP address", enter the parameters:

  1. IP address: 192.168.0.2
  2. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
  3. Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Open the tab "Use the following DNS server" and enter the parameters:

  1. Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.1

Save the changes and close the settings. Creating and configuring a server. When we have set up the local network, we can proceed to the creation and installation of the minecraft servers, which is not so difficult to create, it is done as follows:

  1. Download any game server suitable for your version of the game, save it to a folder.
  2. Open the "server.properties" file, find the line "server-ip=..." and delete everything after the "=" sign so that you have a line with an empty value "server-ip=".
  3. We find the line “online-mode=false” in the same file, delete “False”, insert “true” in its place.
  4. The server is ready, now you can start it. To start the game, open MineCraft and in the line with the server address enter: 192.168.0.1:25565 (for Windows 7) or 192.168.0.2:25565 (for Windows XP).

The second way, suitable for all types operating systems, in the line "server-ip =" enter the value "localhost", save the changes, open the game and write localhost in the line with the IP address and then click on the connection. But, this method does not work on all computers and not all (due to many subtleties and features), so it's easier to use the first option. That's all, with such simple and quick steps you can set up Minecraft to play on the Internet and with your favorite friends on the local network.

When you are just starting to play Minecraft, you hardly even think about the fact that there is a multiplayer mode. You simply do not need it, since you obviously have enough for for a long time singleplayer - the game is so exciting, varied and exciting that it will take many days before you get tired of playing alone. However, in most cases, this day still comes - what to do in this case? Then gamers think about whether there is a multiplayer in this project. And the answer to this question is affirmative. Yes, you can play with other amateurs. And you can do this even if you do not have the Internet. In this article, you will learn how to play Minecraft on a local network, because the Internet connection for many gamers may not be fast enough or stable enough to support a full-fledged game on the server. But the local network is always stable and operates at the highest speeds.

Types of multiplayer

Before analyzing how to play Minecraft on a local network, you need to understand what modes there are. Perhaps you won’t like any of this, and you will refuse this idea. Although this is unlikely, because for the most part the modes repeat the single player. There are four of them, and one of the most common is the creative mode. Here you get an unlimited supply of materials and create real works of art from various blocks.

Another extremely popular mode is survival, which is standard. Here you find yourself in the middle of a randomly generated world without any devices or resources at all, and you need to get hold of the necessary items, materials from scratch, build a house and prepare for survival in harsh conditions. Hardcore mode is very similar to survival, only it has a significantly increased level of difficulty. Well, the adventure mode is a themed game in which you can even be given certain tasks, unlike other modes. Which option to choose is up to you. And now it's time to learn how to play Minecraft on a local network.

Creation of the world

First of all, you need to determine what will act as the host. This is very important point, since all server information, all data will be stored on the host computer, and it will also be the one that will be the most loaded. Therefore, the role of the host should be played by the gamer who has the most powerful computer. Given the fact that you will play on a local network, respectively, the connection speed will be the same for all of you, the computer configuration plays a key role here. However, this is only the first step that you have to take in order to figure out how to play Minecraft on a local network.

When the host is determined, the task of creating a new world is assigned to his shoulders, in which the game will take place. Some gamers are already on this stage they are interested in whether everyone will be able to get such an opportunity and how to play Minecraft online. Through the Internet and the local network, you can play absolutely anyone who has at least some kind of connection with other players. Only here the processes of creating and connecting are slightly different in the case of the worldwide and local networks.

Opening the world and setting up the server

If you are trying to figure out how to play Minecraft on a local network, then this item will be the most important for you. As soon as you create a new world, you need to go to the menu and select the item Open to LAN, which means "Open to LAN". Thus, your server will become available to those who are connected to the same local network with you. Following this, you will need to make the game settings, enter console commands, and most importantly - choose a specific mode that you agree with other players. When you're done with that, the server will be ready to host guests. If you are asked how you manage to play with friends with poor or no Internet, you can safely answer: "And we play Minecraft with a friend over the network." If this person also belongs to your local network, you can call him to your company.

Server connection

So, you have a game world that is open for joining from LAN addresses. But how to make a connection, because so far only the administrator lives on the server? In older versions of the game, the host needs to copy the server address that will appear after the opening of the world, and then send it to those who will participate in the game. When they enter the game, they insert into desired field this address and connect. However, in new versions, the process has been greatly simplified - when a player enters Minecraft and wants to play on a local network, he is immediately offered a list of servers available on its open spaces.

Connect Features

There is one unpleasant fact which, unfortunately, cannot be corrected. If you do not have an internet connection, you will not be able to use automatic detection servers, even if you have a new version"Minecraft". You will have to enter the server address manually.
