To adjust the position of text entered along a path using Selection Tool (Pointer) select the text along the path. On the attribute panel this tool select the following options:
- Text Orientation: specifies how to stretch the text along the path.
- Distance from the path: distance between text and path (Figure 6.2).
- Bias: Place text horizontally along the path.

Compared to earlier versions in CorelDrawX7, we can apply effects without compromising text information, and it is no longer necessary to convert text to curves. The program has such effects as the effect of transparency, the effect of the lens, bevel, extrusion, flow and shell (Fig. 6.9).

Using the Lens effect
CorelDRAW uses lenses to create the effect of enlarging part of an image. This effect is applicable to any CorelDRAW objects, including bitmaps imported into the program (in particular, photographs). Graphics editor provides you with several types of lenses, and access to them is implemented using the drop-down list located in the center of the window Lens called by the command Effects-Lens, which corresponds to the key combination Alt+F3- rice. 6.12.

Activate the Text tool and write any text on the drawing sheet. Before applying artistic effects to the text, it must be turned into curves. To make the text not only voluminous, but also add highlights to it, an experienced user of a software tool called CorelDRAW will need no more than fifteen minutes. It is interesting that he will do this using standard tools and functions based on individual approach to complete a specific task.
First, it makes sense to choose the required size and dimensions of the text font through the Nudge Offset functions located on the toolbar called the Pick Tool. You should also take care of setting the Contour effect, adjustable through a special menu or a combination of buttons Ctrl + F11. As a rule, a size is set that does not exceed a tenth of the average thickness of the letter symbols. With the help of the Nudge Offset function, precise offsets can be made various figures, which is especially true in the case of mass application of such effects, as well as when the designer is required to comply ultimate precision and accuracy.
The typed text must be prepared in advance, and then, through the execution of the Ctrl + Q key command, give it the required curvature.
