How to pray for sins before God. How to atone for sins? How to ask the Lord for forgiveness for the sins you have committed

We cannot atone for our sins, but we have hope. The Lord Jesus Christ says that He came precisely to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mk 10:45).

The main thing is not human sins and infirmities in themselves; the main thing - and the first, and the most important thing - is that we are first of all members of the Church, members of the Body of Christ, and only then - sick, weak, powerless, sinful, whatever. The main thing is that, as in all spiritual life, so in repentance, in its center, in the first, main place, He should be - and not some kind of me with my alleged super-sinfulness.

Christ made atonement for our sins at Calvary; we are called to receive His gift through repentance and faith. The Lord founded the Church and established the Sacraments in it - special actions through which He frees us from sins and gives us strength for a new life. Therefore, we just need to come to the Church and bring our sins to confession. The Word of God firmly promises us that if we confess our sins, He, being faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 Jn 1:9). Only Christ can cleanse our sins.

Atonement for sin through prayer can make a spiritual person. To do this, you need to remember your life and your sinful adventures. So you found a case and illuminated it with your consciousness, what it is and how to evaluate your thoughts and actions. If you see your sin and condemn it with repentance, then the sin is immediately atoned for and you ascend in the spirit and your path changes.

Commemoration at the Divine Liturgy (Church note)

Those who have health are remembered christian names, and about the repose - only those baptized in the Orthodox Church.

Notes can be submitted to the liturgy:

At the proskomidia - the first part of the liturgy, when for each name indicated in the note, particles are taken out of special prosphora, which are subsequently lowered into the Blood of Christ with a prayer for the forgiveness of sins

Sin is not just some kind of immoral act, it is primarily a violation of the law of God, the laws of spiritual life established by the Creator Himself, lawlessness (1 John 3:4), or, in other words, sin is a violation of the will of God. Sin did not come from God and not from nature, but from the abuses of the mind and will of its rational beings, about their arbitrary deviation from God, about replacing his holy will with their own, from self-will. The first violator of His will was Lucifer, one of the rank of the Archangel. Now he is Satan, that is, the enemy of God. Therefore, the commission of sin is a conscious or unconscious opposition to God, and one must avoid sin in every possible way, making an effort to do so. That original, natural sin, which infected the nature of the first parents, and therefore being hereditary, as long as carnal humanity exists, is the cause for the personal sins of everyone. That is why the Lord said, “There is no man who has not sinned.” Thus, the personal sins of each person come from a damaged human nature, under the influence of the external world, which “lies in evil,” and from the devil. In the case of committing a sin, be sure to repent in order to again become closer to your Creator and Savior, the eternal Defender and Leader.

The Lord forgives us all sins, except for mortal sin. Mortal sin is stubborn impenitence, when the sinner in his bitterness comes to the point that he cannot repent with all his heart. And even if someone was terribly guilty before God, he can, with humility, bow down before Him, bring repentance. Repentance is the basic background of all our Christian life. The Monk Ephraim the Syrian left us the necessary prayer: “grant me to see my sins.” Again and again: to see one's sin is a spiritual act, of extremely great value for all who seek the Face of the Living God. Moreover, this act is the action in us of God Himself, who is light. Unfortunately, very few people comprehend the true nature of sin in their hearts. Usually they stand at the level of human morality, and if they ever rise above it, it is still not enough (and morality itself, if necessary, can be changed ...) Great ascetics, when they confessed, they accused themselves of every evil, because they did not find such a sin that was not created even by a momentary touch of the mind. And no one can be sure that he is beyond the power of thoughts that visit him. So, to the extent of our ability to see ourselves, we need to confess our sins so as not to take them with us at death.

Indestructible Psalter

The indestructible Psalter is read not only about health, but also about repose. From ancient times, the ordering of a commemoration on the Unsleeping Psalter is considered a great almsgiving for the departed soul.

It is also good to order the Indestructible Psalter for yourself, support will be vividly felt. And one more important point, but far from the least important,
There is an eternal commemoration on the Indestructible Psalter. It seems expensive, but the result is more than a million times more than the money spent. If this is still not possible, then you can order for a shorter period. It's also good to read for yourself.

All our earthly life, from birth to the last breath, it is ultimately possible to see and appreciate it in an instant. Imagine a vessel of perfectly pure glass, full of water; at first glance, you can tell whether the water is pure or not, and how much. So it will be with us on the transition to another world. Every movement of thought, even a fleeting one, leaves its mark on the general quality of our life.

Suppose that during the entire period of my earthly existence only once an evil thought ran through my heart, for example, murder. And this single thought will remain a dark spot on the body of my life if it is not cast out through repentant self-condemnation. Nothing can be hidden: “There is nothing hidden that would not be revealed, and secret that would not be known” (Luke 12: 2-3). And for every evil thought, we will be tormented in ordeals, the result of which is an intermediate judgment: the soul will either go to God, or, pushing away from God, will move “into outer darkness”, to endless torment.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He, being faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9). Through sincere repentance with resolute self-condemnation before God and people, the inner man is purified, and the water in the vessel, passed through the spiritual filter of repentance, is restored to its purity. But whoever does not repent becomes an enemy of the Church. Just as rotten branches fall from a tree, so do unrepentant sinners fall away from the head of the Church, Jesus Christ. Christ Himself is the vine, and we are the twigs that feed on life. Archimandrite Ambrose (Yurasov) says: “Sometimes they come to me for confession and say: we have no sins. I ask you, do you go to Church, do you pray? It turns out, no, they don't go, they don't pray. And they do not recognize sins for themselves: they say, we do good, we bring benefits. Then I ask such people: are these chairs useful? - yes, they do, - and earthworms do good? - Yes, good. - Are the chairs alive? - Dead. - What about spiritual worms? - No. Here you are like these chairs or those worms ... "

What are we to repent? First, in their own sins; secondly, in the sins to which we have led our neighbors through inducement, temptation, or a bad example; thirdly, that they did not do the good deeds that they could have done; fourthly, that they were taken away from the good deeds of their neighbors; fifthly, that the good deeds themselves were done with sin in half. And in all such matters one must ask one's conscience. Consciousness of one's sins and self-reproach in them are the first steps on the path of repentance.

Sorokousty is a prayer service that is performed by the Church daily for forty days. Every day during this period, particles are removed from the prosphora.
The elder Schema-Archimandrite Zosima noted that the entire history of mankind is measured in "weeks and forties." “For forty days Christ appeared to his disciples, staying on earth until the feast of the Ascension of the Lord. The holy feast is the fortieth day of the Ascension of the Lord. Easter, everything goes by magpies, weeks and magpies. And the history of mankind also goes by weeks and magpies. Sorokousts are ordered for health, especially for seriously ill patients.

Sometimes it seems difficult to draw a line where sin begins. What is the difference, say, between curiosity and inquisitiveness, between indifference and dispassion, between fashion and custom? In such cases, the easiest way to find out the differences is in opposites. Curiosity is opposed to restraint and modesty, curiosity - stupidity and laziness. Indifference is opposed by sympathy and responsiveness, dispassion - nervousness and fuss. To neglect fashion means to preserve chastity, freedom and independence of taste. To neglect custom is to be proud of oneself and to despise people. Reflecting on other similar qualities, one can learn to determine the boundaries of moral and spiritual behavior.

Some people consider a small sin to be a big one, but they hardly think about grave and great sins. So, for every pancake in fasting, they are ready to shake themselves, and insults and condemnations of their neighbor, killing him in the eyes of others, are considered almost nothing.

Before we go to confession, we must forgive everyone everything. Forgive without delay, now, and never remember insults! Live as if they never existed. We must be reconciled to all our neighbors. Only then can we hope to receive forgiveness from the Lord.

To repent means to feel lies, madness, the weight of one's sins in one's heart; it means to realize that they offended by them their Creator, Lord, Father and Benefactor, infinitely holy and infinitely abhorring sins; means with all my heart to desire correction and smoothing over them. And just as we sin with all the powers of the soul, so repentance must be whole-hearted. Repentance only in words, without the intention of correction and without feelings of contrition, is called hypocritical. And the coldness of the heart in confession, as in prayer, is from the devil, he is the coldness of the hellish abyss.

Sometimes it is difficult and painful to reveal all your shameful deeds and thoughts to the confessor without concealment, sometimes it is painful, ashamed and humiliating. But we must overcome this last demonic barrier of false modesty on the path of salvation by reading the “Mercy Door” and the Creed. Otherwise, the wound will remain unhealed and will undermine mental health, remaining a putrid leaven for subsequent sins. For the same reason, confession should not be postponed. Say, it is said, your iniquities, and do not be silent about them, but be justified. The culprit of sin must always be recognized as one's own evil will. Let's not be ashamed of tears in confession. If a person burst into tears, it means that he has reconciled himself, the proud and proud do not cry.

Some Christians, out of shame, cowardice, fear, hide their sins from their confessor. By doing so, they cause great spiritual harm to themselves. Through concealed sins, the devil continues to rule over the soul of the sinner. The grace of God does not heal such a soul. No wonder the priestly prayer at confession says: "If you hide something from me, you will have a double sin."

A prayer service is a special Divine service in which they ask the Lord, the Mother of God, the saints to send down mercy or thank God for receiving blessings. In the temple, prayers are performed daily, except for the time of Great Lent, at the end of the liturgy. On Sunday, after the early liturgy, a prayer service is performed with the blessing of water, that is, a small blessing of the water takes place. Such prayers belong to private worship and are performed at the request and needs of individual believers. Public prayers are performed on the days of temple holidays, on New Year, before the beginning of the teaching of the youths, in rainlessness, etc. Can also be ordered thanksgiving service Savior on behalf of a person or several people who give thanks to the Lord.

A pure confession destroys unrighteousness, turns away from sin, protects from evil, establishes in goodness, strengthens against temptations, maintains vigilance, keeps the commandments of God on the path, strengthens against temptations, pours holy peace into the soul, multiplies the desire for a pious life and makes a person from day to day. days cleaner and more perfect.

Some may think that according to everything that has been said, you can sin as much as you want, and then you will repent - that's all. But such a thought is a delusion of the devil. The great sacrament of repentance and the mercy of God do not at all give grounds for a sinful life, “for if, having received the knowledge of the truth, we sin willfully, then there remains no more sacrifice for sins” (Heb. 10:26). Whoever, in the hope of repentance, allows himself to sin arbitrarily and intentionally, acts insidiously towards God. The sinner voluntarily and intentionally in the hope of eternal repentance, forgiveness, is suddenly struck by death, and no time is given to him, like a liar, for supposed virtues. “Wash, cleanse; remove your evil deeds from my eyes,” the Lord calls, “cease to do evil; learn to do good, seek the truth, save the oppressed, protect the orphan, intercede for the widow. Then come and let us reason, says the Lord. If your sins be as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; if they are red like purple, they will be as white as a wave. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the earth; but if you deny and persist, the sword will devour you: for the mouth of the Lord speaks” (Isaiah 1:16-20). To sin, hoping for God's mercy, is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit", that is, an unforgivable sin.

Likewise, those who say: “Let us sin in youth, and repent in old age,” will be deceived and will be ridiculed by demons. As willfully sinners, they will not be rewarded with repentance, they will die without confession.

The consequences of a sinful life are blindness of the mind, bitterness, insensitivity of the heart: “My iniquities exceeded my head, like a heavy burden they weighed down on me” (Ps. 37:5). What is the consequence of such sinfulness? “My heart has left me” (Ps. 39:13). The mind of an inveterate sinner sees neither good nor evil - his heart loses the ability to spiritual sensations, his conscience is literally burned. When, with the help of God's grace, many of his sins are revealed to a person, then it is impossible that he would not be extremely perplexed by such a spectacle of his life. Through the cutting off of sins at confession, a person wakes up, his conscience is cleared, which is felt even physically, by the body; the human brain clears up, the soul becomes joyful. In one of the temples of Perm, there was even a case of healing the back of a bent old woman immediately after confession. She, having moved ten meters away from the lectern, suddenly turned sharply and ran back to the priest: “Father, my back has stopped hurting!” she almost screamed. And everyone in the temple began to be touched, as the Lord clearly showed the healing of the sacrament of confession.

A church note filed “about health” or “for repose”, along with candles, is the most massive and common church appeal of people to the Lord, the Virgin and saints

At the proskomedia - the first part of the liturgy, when for each name indicated in the note, particles are taken out of special prosphora, which are subsequently lowered into the Blood of Christ with a prayer for the forgiveness of sins commemorated, particular. Usually such notes are read by clergy and clergy before the Holy See; On the litany - a commemoration for all to hear. It is usually performed by a deacon. At the end of the liturgy, these notes in many churches are commemorated a second time, on trebs. You can also submit a note for a prayer service or memorial service.

But dear readers! Please don’t think that the Church is focusing us on the concepts of “should” and “shouldn’t”, that the Church, like a kind of corral, slams the door behind us - and that’s all, now there are only fasts and rules, obedience and cutting off everything that is possible. The Church is the house of God in which the human soul grows and develops. The purpose of this life is to become a partaker of Christ in the Kingdom of Heaven in joy and peace. The path to God is long, the whole life. In the spiritual life of every person, regardless of age, there is childhood, adolescence, maturity. And you need to "grow", improve gradually, albeit with compulsion of the will (as in any business), which actually proves love for God. You just need to remember that spiritual growth is the main business of life, a spiritual guideline in any field of life. We must remember the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, which frees people from the torment of sins and the bitter captivity of the elements of this world, that only in the Church does a person find true freedom.

Repentance presupposes not just the awareness of sin, but precisely sin before God. And this is very important. All the feelings that penitential practice offers us to go through: self-reproach, humility, seeing ourselves as the worst of all, fear of punishment, and so on. - in their true sense, they should be not just human feelings, emotions, movements of the soul, heart, mind - but precisely religious feelings, and positively religious ones at that. That is, they are true and correct only when they are performed in God, before Him, in the context of Him and the Church by the joint action of our soul and the grace of God - co-creation, synergy - but in no case by themselves. I turn it to yours Special attention for here is the root of all religious errors. Self-reproach is not to convince yourself: I am a freak and a nonentity. Humility is not a complex of guilt and one's own inferiority, in the language of psychology. Repentance is not self-reproach, not at all. I repeat, these are positive religious feelings, that is, they mean: there is a God, He is Love and Grace; He is my Savior, it is mine, all good and good is all His. Mine - indeed, passions and weaknesses; but in spite of them, He gave me such a gift in the Church - to live by Him, His goodness, goodness and perfection; and I am a member of His Body, I live by Him and do not want to live by myself, by my passions. And for the sake of this, and only this - to live by Him, I do everything: I repent, and I pray, and I abstain, and I struggle with sin, and so on and so forth, which the Church prescribes, - in order to seek Christ, to be with Him, so that by His grace we can make up for our weakness. And not for the sake of simply stating every hour that I am a sinner, not in order to eat myself up. This is what happens in repentance.

And humility is the feeling that God loves me immeasurably, and all others, and we are the same before Him - equally weak and sick, and I, perhaps, more than others; but He accepts us all, heals, nourishes, supports, comforts, admonishes with great love and mercy, like a mother to a child; and everything is ours before Him, even something good and good - nothing, zero, dust and ashes. This is humility and self-reproach. And all these repentant feelings should bring into the human soul not despondency and despair, not an inferiority complex, which always happens when we deprive repentance of the church context, but - precisely because these are spiritual movements of the soul - the grace of the Holy Spirit. This is not ecstasy, not pink exaltation, not bloody fever - the grace of the Holy Spirit is witnessed in the soul by a subtle, peaceful, joyful, humble, quiet, cool, truly spiritual feeling that gives a person peace, love and freedom - and, as it were, gathers a person into something whole, into what it should be according to God's plan.

Tell me, what sins are mortal and how can they be expiated?

Hieromonk Job (Gumerov) answers:

First of all, it is necessary to distinguish between passions (persistent sinful habits, which are dangerous ailments of the soul) and sins (any transgressions of God's commandments). According to the words of St. John of the Ladder, “passion is already called the vice itself, which from a long time has nested in the soul, and through habit has become, as it were, its natural property, so that the soul already voluntarily and by itself strives for it” (Ladder, 15:75). Most of the holy ascetic fathers speak of eight destructive passions. Reverend John Cassian the Roman, calling them vices, lists them in the following sequence: gluttony, fornication, love of money, anger, sadness, despondency, vanity, pride. The latter is the most dangerous passion. It can banish any virtue from a person. Some, speaking of the seven deadly sins, combine despondency and sadness. They are called mortal because they can (if they completely take possession of a person) disrupt spiritual life, deprive them of salvation and lead to eternal death. According to the teachings of the holy fathers, behind every passion there is a certain demon, dependence on which makes a person a prisoner of one or another vice. When they talk about the eight passions, they find confirmation in the holy Gospel: “When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, he walks through dry places, looking for rest, and, not finding it, says: I will return to my house from where I came out; and, having come, he finds it swept and cleaned; then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and, having entered, dwell there, and the last for that man is worse than the first" (Luke 11:24-26). Unites their belonging to a single kingdom of darkness.

St. Isaac the Syrian says that a feat is needed to overcome passion: and thus, in fact, you will be able to ascend to the level of martyrdom in the struggle with each passion and you will not suffer any harm from what will meet you inside this limit, if you endure to the end and do not relax ”(Ascetic Words. Word 38). Most people have passions in them. Many of them devote their lives to the satisfaction of these passions and do not think about the fact that they are preparing themselves for hell. Those who are conscious, most often in the struggle with passion do not resort to achievement and therefore do not have results. We must always remember that the will of man is free.

St. Nikita Stifat, speaking about the difference between sin and passion, writes: “passion moves in the soul, but the sinful deed is visibly performed by the body. So - voluptuousness, love of money and love of glory are pernicious passions of the soul, and fornication, covetousness and unrighteousness are sinful deeds ”(Philokalia, vol. 5, p. 92).

The expression "mortal sin" has its basis in the words of St. Apostle John the Theologian: “If anyone sees his brother sinning with sin not unto death, then let him pray, and [God] will give him life, [that is] sinning [sin] not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he should pray. Every unrighteousness is sin; but there is sin not unto death” (1 John 5:16-17). The Greek text is pros fanaton- a sin that leads to death. By death is meant spiritual death, which deprives a person of eternal bliss in the Kingdom of Heaven. What are these sins? St. Apostle John the Theologian does not specifically name these sins. At St. The Apostle Paul lists the following sins: “Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor malakia, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor predators - shall inherit the Kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The list of mortal sins can be expanded by referring to another Epistle of the Primate Apostle: “so that they are full of all unrighteousness, fornication, deceit, covetousness, malice, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malevolence, blasphemers, slanderers, haters of God, offenders, self-praise, proud, inventive for evil, disobedient to parents, reckless, treacherous, unloving, implacable, unmerciful. They know the righteous [judgment] of God, that those who do such [deeds] are worthy of death; yet not only [them] are made, but even those who do are approved” (Rom. 1:29-32). At first glance, it may surprise you that this list contains such vices as dislike, intransigence, and disfavor. We are talking about those people in whose moral nature these moral properties dominate.

There is only one way to liberation from sins - sincere repentance and determination to improve. The earlier the better. The longer a person leads a sinful life, the more the soul is injured. “Sins under the influence of the permission of the spiritual father are immediately forgiven. But their trace remains in the soul - and it torments. As one strives to resist the sinful urges, these traces are blotted out, and at the same time, the languor is diminished. When the traces are completely erased, then the languor will end. The soul will be in the assurance of remission of sins. For this reason - a broken spirit, a contrite and humble heart - form the basis of the feelings of the current path of salvation ”(St. Theophan the Recluse. Collection of letters, issue 3, letter 499). When it comes to mortal sins, it is necessary to distinguish between the forgiveness of sins and the healing of the soul. In the sacrament of repentance, a person receives the forgiveness of sins immediately, but the soul does not become healthy soon. You can draw an analogy with the body. There are diseases that are harmless. They are easily treated and do not leave any trace in the body. But there are diseases that are severe and life-threatening. By the grace of God and the art of doctors, the person recovered, but the body is already returning to its previous state of health. So the soul, having tasted the poison of mortal sin (fornication, occultism, etc.), seriously undermines spiritual health. Priests who have long pastoral experience know how difficult it is for people who have been in mortal sins for a long time to build a full-fledged spiritual life on solid foundations and bear fruit. However, no one should lose heart and despair, but resort to the Gracious Physician of our soul and body: Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all His blessings. He forgives all your iniquities, heals all your diseases; redeems your life from the grave, crowns you with mercy and bounty(Ps. 102:2-4).

How to atone for sins? Sometimes a person commits rash and stupid acts, which he soon repents of, then a logical question arises before him, how to atone for sins and free himself from a heavy burden.

How to atone for sins?

IN modern world people began to treat the church as a kind of relic of the past and an abstract manifestation of their culture. Some individuals go to temples and churches just to pay tribute to fashion, while not knowing a single prayer and never observing a single prayer in their lives. church post. All these aspects lead to the fact that a person does not feel responsible for his actions and sins, does not think about the consequences of his actions and his words. Most often, the realization that he lives incorrectly comes only when trouble comes to the house and various misfortunes occur more and more often. Then the question arises, how to atone for your sins, how to ask God for forgiveness?

First of all, you need to sincerely, with all your heart, repent of your perfect deed. For help, it is best to contact a priest. As a rule, people who often attend church have their own spiritual guide. If you are not a permanent parishioner of the church, then you can choose a confessor yourself. It is very important to see how cold confession is: it happens that people, in a queue, confess their sins to the priest, and he also, in turn, lets them go. But if you have been walking towards your repentance for a long time and it really comes from the heart, this option doesn't suit you. It is ideal to choose a free priest who will be able to give you time for confession, and then give useful advice. You will have to read a prayer for sins. Do not be afraid that someone will find out about your secrets, told to the priest. Priests strictly strictly honor other people's secrets, so you can tell your confessor about the most secret without hiding. Speak the truth, no matter how scary it is. The priest will give you some instructions that you must follow exactly - this may be an order for a prayer service, observance certain post or daily prayer about the forgiveness of sins. Remember that prayer should go straight from the heart, only in this case you will be completely freed from the heavy burden that torments your soul, cleanse yourself and, as a result, become closer to God. In the process of prayer, the soul is cleansed and thoughts come to order. Repenting for a perfect deed, you mentally return to it and relive your pain again, thereby saving you from re-committing a sin. Prayer helps you get rid of an oppressive state and calm down.

Many women are interested in whether it is possible to repent of the sin associated with abortion. And it doesn’t matter at all why you did it, because sometimes it’s not at all about not wanting to have a child from a random acquaintance. It is very important that a woman repents of sin and is ready to ask God for forgiveness for it. Go to church and confess, the priest will impose a penance on you, which carries an educational meaning. Unfortunately, there is no prayer that would remove the sinfulness of abortion, but you can earn the forgiveness of Heaven with good deeds. It is believed that the adoption of a child from orphanage equates to building a temple. In addition, by your example, you can try to dissuade other women from doing this. terrible sin. No matter what sin you have committed, the important thing is that it can be atoned for by good deeds and helping your neighbor.

Now if you are asked

You will always know what is the right answer :)

People often ask how to atone for sins? The reason is the pangs of conscience that haunt a person. Some atone for their sins throughout their lives. Someone goes to a monastery to pray for sins, someone is looking for special correct prayers that will “atone” for sins, but what is really needed to receive real forgiveness of sins and remove the burden of guilt from the soul?

Before talking about how to atone for sins, you need to define sin itself.

What is sin

Sin is a violation of the commandments of God, or a transgression against the Law of God. Here it is important to remember the rule that ignorance of the law does not exempt a person from punishment.

We all know that there are physical laws, the violation of which entails temporary consequences in this life. The Bible says that there are also spiritual laws that are eternal, and the consequences of breaking spiritual laws are as eternal as the laws themselves. For this reason, the violation of spiritual laws is much more serious than the violation of physical ones.

Some complain about life and wonder why some live well and others do not? They ask: “What did I do to deserve such a life?” This happens when people break spiritual laws without knowing they exist. In the minds of people, they do everything right and act no worse than others, but they miss the most important thing - they ignore spiritual laws, which leads to such sad consequences.

Punishment for sin

The second is very important point associated with sin is punishment. The Bible says: …the wages of sin is death "(Rom.6:23) Violating God's commandments man punishes himself in the temporal world and sentences himself to eternal death in eternity, after death.

People often distinguish between big and small sins, but God says that the result of any sin will be death. It doesn't matter if a person deceived another, said a swear word, stolen or killed. The result will be one - eternal death. God says: There is no righteous person on earth who does good and does not sin (Eccl. 7:20) And this means that every person on earth is doomed to eternal death.

Man cannot atone for his sin

The third important point is that without God there is no means on earth that can cleanse a person from sin. There are no ways on earth, special rituals or difficult tasks, severe suffering or special correct prayers, which in themselves are capable of washing away the guilt of sin from a person. Therefore, any person who has sinned, no matter what sin, is doomed to eternal death, and no matter how much he punishes himself, no matter how much he begs himself, or no matter how much he is punished for this crime, his sin remains on him.

The only way to get rid of sin

So is there really no way out of their current situation? It really didn't exist, but God found a way out. He gave His sinless Only Son Jesus to die. Jesus willingly went to death on the cross where God punished His innocent for the sins of all people who have ever lived or will live on earth. Jesus bore the punishment for all the sins of all mankind, because of which he died, but rose again on the third day.

Here is the Bible text that says this: But He was wounded for our sins and tormented for our iniquities; the punishment of our peace [was] upon him, and by his stripes we were healed. We all wandered like sheep, each one turned to his own way: and the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all. He was tormented, but suffered voluntarily and did not open His mouth; He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth. From bondage and judgment He was taken; but who will explain his generation? for he is cut off from the land of the living; for the crimes of my people suffered execution. He was assigned a tomb with villains, but He was buried with a rich man, because He did not sin, and there was no lie in His mouth. But the Lord was pleased to strike him, and he gave him over to torment; when His soul offers a sacrifice of propitiation, He will see a long-lived offspring, and the will of the Lord will be successfully carried out by His hand. He will look with contentment at the feat of His soul; through the knowledge of Him, He, the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify many and bear their sins on Himself. Therefore, I will give Him a share among the great, and He will share the booty with the strong, because He gave His soul to death, and was numbered among the wicked, while He bore the sin of many and became an intercessor for transgressors. (Isaiah 53:5-12)

By His death and resurrection, Jesus acquired the right to forgive sins because He personally paid for them.

Imagine a man stole something in a store, he was caught stealing. Suddenly, a person passing by turns to the thief and says: “Don’t worry, I forgive your sin, go home!”. Will this solve the issue? - Of course not. The store administration will say: “Who are you to forgive his sins. You first pay for what this man stole, and then forgive him!”

Jesus did just that, before forgiving people's sins, He first paid for them own death. By resurrection, he acquired the right to forgive the sins of anyone whom He wills. Jesus Himself says about Himself: I am the First and the Last and the living; and was dead, and behold, alive forever and ever, amen; and I have the keys of hell and death ". (Rev.1:17) In summary, the only way to be freed from sin is to be forgiven by Jesus, who bought the right to forgive any sin with His blood.

How to atone for sins

And now we come to the answer to the question, how to atone for sins? Based on what we talked about above, the phrase "to atone for sins" is not entirely appropriate. I think it would be more correct to use the phrase: "receive the remission of sins." It is impossible to pray for sins, but to receive the forgiveness of sins is real.

It seems to me that the concept of "to atone for sin" originates in childhood. It is from their parents that some are used to “begging” for forgiveness for their misdeeds, and now they think that God also needs to “beg” for forgiveness.

In order to receive the forgiveness of sins, you need to turn to the One who has the right to do this - to Jesus, and ask Him for forgiveness for your sin. In response, Jesus promises to forgive any sin just like that, for nothing. To do this, you do not need to kill yourself, beat a hundred bows and pay money. Jesus forgives FREE! Here is the Bible text that says: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, God's gift: not from works, so that no one boasts ". (Eph.2:8-9)

How can I be sure my sins are forgiven?

Of course, everyone wants to be sure that their sin is forgiven and that they will never be charged for their crime again. How can you be sure that when a person asks for forgiveness from Jesus, he receives it?

There are texts in the Bible that Jesus left for those who doubt. Jesus says: whoever comes to me I will not cast out…” John 6:37) Further we read: “ If we confess our sins, then He, being faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ". (1 John 1:9) This is the promise of God. He promises to forgive anyone who comes to Him with sincere repentance.

David in his psalm says: The Lord is generous and merciful, long-suffering and many-merciful: he is not completely angry, and he is never indignant. He did not deal with us according to our iniquities, and did not repay us according to our sins: for as the sky is high above the earth, so great is the mercy [of the Lord] to those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so has he removed our iniquities from us; As a father has mercy on his sons, so the Lord has mercy on those who fear Him. For He knows our composition, remembers that we are dust. Man's days are like grass; like the flower of the field, so it blooms. The wind passes over him, and he is gone, and his place will no longer recognize him. The mercy of the Lord is from age to age to those who fear Him, and His righteousness is on the sons of sons, who keep His covenant and remember His commandments, so that they can do them. ". (Ps. 103:8-18)

The only way to receive forgiveness of sins is to ask Jesus for forgiveness and believe his promises, in which He assures us that He will surely forgive everyone who sincerely comes to Him for forgiveness. " God is not a man for him to lie, and not a son of man for him to change. Will he say and not do? will speak and not perform? » (Numbers 23:19) The forgiveness of Jesus is accepted by faith, on the basis of the promises that He left. I have given only a few examples, but if you read the Bible, you will find many more.

What to do after God has forgiven sin?

If a person comes to God to ask for forgiveness, but is not going to leave this sin, God will not forgive Him, because He knows that a person does not need forgiveness, he just needs to calm his conscience. Therefore, if you want to receive forgiveness from God for a sin, you need to come to him with a firm decision to leave the sin and not repeat it again. Of course, we can stumble again and sin again with the same sin, but God looks at the heart of man. If a person tries his best to get rid of sin, but he did not succeed, God will forgive this, even if he sins many times. But if a person is not going to give up sin and only pretends to want forgiveness, such a person will not find forgiveness.

The second advice is to start studying God's laws written in the Bible so that it doesn't turn out later that you have lived your whole life and did not know that you lived in sin. By studying the Bible, you will discover that there are more sins that you did not know about, and you will have the opportunity to get rid of them and become closer to God.

Third tip. Find those people who are determined to run away from sin and live righteously, just like you. Together it is much easier to achieve the goal, because " two are better than one... ».

But the most important questions to ask here are: Why is all this necessary? Why strain and purge from sin? Who cares if we all die one day anyway?

The answers to these questions are contained in the answer to another question:

How to forgive the sins of your kind

It is possible and necessary to forgive the sins of a kind. In Tsarist Russia, all peasant families had many children, and the youngest son was given as a monk to atone for the sins of the family. In the old days, people still felt the law of fate in the family, so they tried to intermarry only with the family in which there were no suicides, drunkards, crazy people, fornicators, moral freaks, and childlessness (a bad sign is the doom of the family). Basically, redemption moral laws it is still noticeable in the family: it is clear that women in the family, for example, always become single mothers, or in the family men go to prison, and so on. The most obvious sign that the race is doomed because of sins is childlessness. Is it possible to beg for the sins of the family! You can beg for everything, but for this you need to understand what kind of sins people have, and how they are corrected. At present, no one understands this better than Sergey Lazarev. Read his books "Diagnostics of Karma".

If you have found a recurring birth problem and have decided to take it seriously, here are some tips. Since ancient times, it was believed that praying for us, the servants of God, and praying for our sinful ancestors most convenient for the servants of the monasteries. Many cathedrals accept notes for semi-annual and annual commemoration of health or repose.

Therefore, you need to make a list of your relatives, members of your direct family, taking into account everyone from the first up to the seventh generation. Brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts are not included in this list. You need to write down the following names: you are the first tribe, your father and mother are the second tribe, your grandparents are the third tribe, your great-grandparents are the fourth tribe, and so on. Write down those whose names you know, and put them in two columns: those who are alive, and those who are no longer in this world. After all, for some it is necessary to give a remembrance of health, and for others - about repose.

But the work of the monks to pray for your kind does not end there. Your direct participation in this is also great. Eat three miraculous prayers, they can be found in any prayer book.

First - 90th psalm , the semantic and sound vibrations of which will help to clean the energy structure of a person.

Second - 50th psalm . It is very effective in protecting the biofield and the surrounding space of the individual.

And the third - Symbol of faith , at which fast filling high-frequency energy of all centers and channels of the Soul.

Prayers traditionally used in Parastas

1. Psalm 90

He who lives with the help of the Most High will dwell under the shelter of the God of heaven. He will say to the Lord: “You are my intercessor and my refuge, my God, I trust in You.” He will deliver you from the net of hunters and from the rebellious word. With His shoulders He will protect you, and under His wings you will be safe. His truth will protect you with a shield. You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day, the plague that walks in darkness, the pestilence that ravages at noon. A thousand will fall near you, and ten thousand to your right, but they will not come near you. Only you will look with your eyes and you will see the reward of sinners. For you said, "The Lord is my hope." You have chosen the Highest as your refuge. Evil will not come to you, and the plague will not come near your dwelling, for He commanded His angels to keep you in all your ways. They will take you in their hands so that you do not trip your foot on a stone. You will step on the asp and the basilisk and trample on the lion and the serpent. “Since he trusted in Me, I will deliver him, I will protect him, for he has known My name. I am with him in sorrow: he will call on me, and I will hear him; I will deliver him and glorify him; I will satisfy him with long life and show him my salvation.

2. Psalm 50 (repentant)

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy and according to the multitude of Thy mercies, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me many times from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, for I recognize my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. You alone have I sinned and done evil before You, so that You will be righteous in Your judgment and overcome when You judge. For behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and in sins my mother bore me. But you loved the truth: the unknown and secret of your wisdom you showed me. You will sprinkle me with hyssop and I will be cleansed; you will wash me and I will become whiter than snow. Give joy and gladness to my ears, and the humble bones will rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and confirm me with the Sovereign Spirit. I will teach the transgressors Your ways, and the wicked will turn to You.

Deliver me from (shedding) blood, O God, God of my salvation! And my tongue will joyfully praise Your righteousness. God! Open my mouth and they will proclaim Your praise. If You had wanted a sacrifice, I would have given it, (but) You are not pleased with a burnt offering. Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God will not despise the contrite and humble heart. Benefit, O Lord, according to Your good pleasure Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then you will be pleased with the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering, then they will offer calves on your altar.

3. Creed

I believe in one God the Father, Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only Begotten, who was born of the Father before all ages; Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, uncreated, consubstantial with the Father, Whom all was. For us for the sake of man and for our sake of salvation, he descended from heaven and became incarnate from the Holy Spirit and Mary the Virgin, and became human. Crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried. And resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father.
And the packs of the future with glory to judge the living and the dead, His Kingdom will have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord of Life, who proceeds from the Father, Who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who spoke the prophets. Into one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins. tea resurrection of the dead and life of the next century. Amen.

These prayers must be read for each member of your family in a certain sequence. You need to start with yourself. Then you read for the mother, then for the father. Moving on to the third knee, you read for your maternal grandmother and grandfather, then for your grandmother and paternal grandfather. Working with the fourth knee, you begin to read for the great-grandmother and great-grandfather - the parents of the grandmother, then - for the great-grandmother and great-grandfather - the parents of the grandfather (this is work with ancestors on the female line). You work with male ancestors in the same way: first you read prayers for your great-grandmother and great-grandfather - the parents of your grandmother, then for your great-grandmother and great-grandfather - the parents of your grandfather. And so on.

It must be remembered that when moving deeper into the birth canal, the energy of prayers twists clockwise according to the gimlet rule (from left to right). The female part of the birth canal is located on the left, and the male part is on the right.

So, you start reading prayers for yourself. After the third prayer say the words: “I apologize to everyone to whom I deliberately and unintentionally brought evil”.

Start working with each of the ancestors, for example, with the following words: “I give my vote for my great-grandfather on the maternal side of the servant of God Terenty”.

Then you read prayers, and at the end ask forgiveness for the ancestor from all those to whom he brought evil during his lifetime. If the name of your ancestor is unknown, then simply name his status according to your genus. It is more convenient to make a diagram of all relatives up to the seventh generation.

It is clear that such work will take a lot of time and cannot be completed in one approach. It will take someone a few days, it doesn’t matter, the main thing is that the work you have done will bring an invaluable result - your genus will be cleansed from hard, low frequency, destructive structures
