Wooden partitions in a wooden house: installation. Interior partitions in a wooden house

More recently, plank partitions, sheathed with shingles and plastered on the outside, were used in construction. They were reliable and durable structures. Now they are used extremely rarely, because the technology is laborious and expensive. Modern wooden partitions in a wooden house are more economical and simple.

Flammable products are rarely used in urban construction today. In large administrative and residential buildings, their use is prohibited, although they do not self-ignite. Partitions in a wooden house are used in individual and low-rise housing construction. They are mounted only after a complete shrinkage of the house occurs.

The advantage of using wood is that a lot of high quality waste remains after construction.

Wooden frame partitions

The design contains a frame made of timber, sheathed with different materials and having a filler inside. Sound insulation is placed inside the cavity, and vapor barrier is added for rooms with high humidity. In this case, the skin and frame should be treated with antifungal and water-repellent agents. Unlike they are not load-bearing, although shelves, flower pots and other interior elements can be hung on them.

Frame-type houses are made of the same materials as the walls. Only the beam inside can be used with a smaller cross section, since it does not bear the load.

The overall structural basis of the building creates the same deformations from temperature and humidity. As a result, shrinkage will be uniform, and cracks will not form at the joints. It is also advisable to use flame retardants and insect repellents for wood.

Features of the manufacture of the frame

The frame is made of dry timber with a section of 5x5 cm or 5x10 cm, and the distance between the uprights depends on the size of the sheathing sheets. For example, for drywall, it is 60 cm. The gap between the sheathing allows you to place sheets of glass or mineral wool inside. These materials are preferred because of their low cost, mice do not settle in them. In order not to finish with wallpaper or not to paint, you can sheathe partitions in a wooden house with clapboard (photo below).

In log cabins, the inner walls are made of logs or solid timber, although lightweight structures are cheaper and are also widely used. For concrete or brick houses, it is preferable to use a galvanized metal profile as a frame inside under the partitions.

Plank partitions

The design is a shield in 2-3 layers of boards knocked down at an angle of 90º. It is inserted into the grooves of the frame from the timber. To prevent the partition from deforming when the house shrinks, gaps of 1 cm are left between the shield, the ceiling and the walls.

The boards are plastered. To do this, they are pre-upholstered with shingles. The wire is laid in a layer of plaster, and a strip of asbestos is substituted under it. The products require a large amount of wood, and the process of their creation is laborious.

Installation of partitions in a wooden house

For installation, first of all, materials and tools are required. They should be prepared in advance.

Materials and tools

For the construction of frame partitions, the following materials are required:

    beam of square or rectangular section;

    sheathing material;

    soundproofing;

    vapor barrier;

  • fixture.

The tools used are:

  • screwdriver;

    jigsaw;

    level, plumb, tape measure;

  • Preparing the base for the partition

    It is not difficult to make a partition in a wooden house, but it should be borne in mind that it has a lot of weight, and the foundation must be strong. It is not erected on a regular floor, since the surface may sag. Therefore, a lag should be located below for safety net. It is better to install an additional wall on the subfloor when all the lower beams are in view, and adding another one is not a problem. It is possible that under the floor you will have to install an additional base in the form of concrete or brick columns. The arrangement of interior partitions should be taken into account in the design of the house. Then in the future there will be no need for alteration. On the second floor, the load will be transferred to the floor beams, it is desirable to make the structure as light as possible.

    The most common cladding material is drywall, which is fairly light and cheap. Under it, you can install a frame made of a bent profile, which will also reduce the weight of the structure.

    The use of plywood also makes it possible to create a lightweight structure with an attractive look of natural wood. Its use is allowed only in dry rooms. It is possible to use moisture resistant plywood, but it will cost much more. The material is becoming more and more popular and is also used for the floor. Partitions in a wooden house often require the installation of a door frame, the place under which should be strengthened.

    markup

    Before installation, marking is first done. With the help of a plumb line and a level on the walls, floor and ceiling, a line is beaten off and guide bars are installed. Their fastening depends on the base material. The cap of the fastening element is hidden in the tree. First, the extreme racks are installed, and horizontal elements are attached to them. After that, intermediate vertical bars are set along a horizontally stretched thread. A solid heat-insulating gasket is placed everywhere between the frame and the base.

    The erection of a partition

    Making a partition in a wooden house with your own hands is not so difficult. Sheathing from boards or chipboard can withstand loads up to 30 kg. If it is supposed to hang something significant on it (a boiler, a TV set, shelves), the structure in this place is reinforced with horizontal mortgages from a similar beam. The crossbars are fastened with self-tapping screws and corners. The installation locations of the crossbars correspond to the joints between the sheathing sheets.

    Wooden partitions in a wooden house are filled with soundproofing slabs or mats with an allowance so that there are no gaps. The sound absorption quality depends on the packing density. To protect the frame from moisture that can enter from the room, a vapor barrier membrane is pulled over it on both sides. It must be located so that water vapor escapes from the interior and does not enter from the outside.

    For electrical wiring in partitions, it is best to lay in a metal hose, and use non-combustible materials as socket boxes. You can also put electrical wiring in a heat-resistant corrugation. Under it, openings are cut in bars or soundproofing slabs. On the other hand, the frame is also closed with sheathing sheets, similarly to the first.

    Frame finish

    The frame is sheathed with drywall, plastic panels, plywood, MDF, clapboard. Interior partitions in a wooden house are often made of the same material as a tongue-and-groove board is well suited for this.

    Wood trim improves the indoor climate. Every year, new materials for wall cladding go on sale, which at the same time are finishing coatings and give the room an elegant look.

    Conclusion

    Wooden partitions in a wooden house provide advantages in terms of creating uniform deformations from temperature and humidity. Their finish is chosen at your discretion to get a harmonious combination with the interior.
