Foam mixer PS-2 80 mm is designed to produce an aqueous solution of a foam concentrate used to form foam in medium expansion foam generators in accordance with GOST 12962-80 and air-foam shafts in accordance with GOST 1101-93. Foam mixers are produced with connecting heads according to TUU 29.2-30711025- 12-2001, suction hoses according to GOST 5398-76. The principle of operation of PS-2 The principle of operation of the foam mixer is as follows: water under working pressure enters the nozzle, and from it into the neck of the housing diffuser. In the housing cavity adjacent to the nozzle, a vacuum is created, due to which the foaming agent is sucked along the hose into the housing diffuser, where it mixes with water. The resulting foaming agent solution is then fed through pressure hoses or pipelines to the medium expansion foam generator GPS-600. To prevent water from entering the container with the foam concentrate in the event of a sudden increase in pressure, a non-return valve is provided at the outlet of the foam mixer (for example, when pressure hoses are kinked). Maintenance of the foam mixer PS-2 lines, as well as when designing pipelines, one should be guided by the water flow indicated in the table and the maximum allowable backwater. It must also be taken into account that the total flow of water from the foam concentrate passes through the hoses behind the foam mixer. The resistance of the pipelines connecting the foam mixer to the GPS-600 generators must be such that: -0.6 MPa in front of all GPS-600. Limit value of the foam mixer level in the tank: - 0.3 m below the foam mixer axis - lower level; -2 m above the foam mixer axis - upper level. Preparing the foam mixer for operation consists in laying hose lines and connecting them to the foam mixer and GPS-600 generators. In this case, it is necessary to ensure the direction of water movement, indicated by an arrow on the foam mixer body. A periodic check of the serviceability of the foam mixer is carried out when it works on water instead of a foam concentrate. Water suction should be in the range of 0.30-0.36 l / s. without packaging in a container, provided that it is protected from damage. Foam generators, foam concentrates, foam mixers

The inlet of the GPSS foam generator is located on the flange 3. The solution pipeline of the stationary fire extinguishing system 6 is connected to it.

The equipment is fastened to the tank with oil products using a mounting flange 2. The flange has an outlet closed by a cover 9, which is mounted on a hinge 10.

In front of the sprayer 8 there is a damper 11, which is one of the arms of a two-arm lever installed in the body of the foam generator 1 on a hinge 12. The other end of this lever is connected by a hinge 13 to the fork 14.

The device, the principle of operation of the foam generator

The atomizer forms a jet of the foaming agent solution in the form of a torch falling on the surface of the cassette. The meshed surface of the cassette promotes the formation of multiple foam bubbles by injecting air through an intake in the bottom of the foam generator housing. The foam created in this way is directed to the gas-air space of the tank to extinguish the fire.

The inlet of the GPSS foam generator is located on the flange 3, to which the solution pipeline of the stationary fire extinguishing system 6 is connected. The foam generator is installed and fixed on the tank using the mounting flange 2, on which there is an outlet closed by a cover 9 mounted on a hinge 10.

In front of the sprayer 8 there is a damper 11, which is one of the arms of the two-arm lever installed in the foam generator 1 housing on the hinge 12. The other end of this lever is connected by a hinge 13 to the fork 14. The two-arm lever is connected to the handle 16 of the manual drive with a rope 15. The free end of the fork 14 is installed on stop 17, fixed in the foam generator body with one bolt 18. Rod 19 is connected with its ends to covers 9 and 20. Cover 9 is attracted to the edge of the outlet of the foam generator by rod 19 due to the force generated by the rotation of the nut 21 along the thread of the stud 20. At the same time the nut 21 rests against the fork 14 with its end surface. The position of the nut 21, corresponding to the required sealing force of the junction of the cover 9 and the edge of the outlet of the foam generator, is fixed on the stud 20 by the lock nut 22. The limiter 23 of the opening angle of the lid 9 is connected to the stud 20 and the rod 19. The second end limiter 23 is bolted to the upper part of the housing.

To protect the lever system of the foam generator from breakage, the fork 14 is fixed during transportation with wire 24.

Stationary foam generator GPSS-600, GPSS-2000, GPSS-2000 A

  • GPSS foam generators are designed to supply foam when extinguishing a fire in a tank.
  • Foam is introduced into the tank through foam chambers mounted in the upper belt of the tank.
  • The foam breaks the membrane (a fragile vessel) made of oiled cardboard or sheet lead, enters the surface of the oil product and stops burning.
  • Usually 3-5 foam generators are installed.
  • GPSS 2000A- modification with a guide casing that prevents the weakening of the pressure of the foam concentrate.
  • The GPSS foam generator is installed on steel vertical tanks with a volume of 5000 m3 and more.
  • Foam is supplied to tanks with a fixed roof based on foam covering the entire area of the product surface, and to tanks with a floating roof - based on the annular space between the tank wall and the metal diaphragm of the floating roof.
  • Stationary medium expansion foam generator GPSS is designed for use in stationary foam fire extinguishing installations for tanks with oil and oil products.
  • The generator can be used for this purpose in other industries within its technical capabilities.
  • The generator complies with the climatic version U, placement category 1, operating conditions in an atmosphere of type II GOST 15150-69.
  • GPSS is part of an automatic stationary fire extinguishing system in tanks for storing oil and oil products, the use of which is mandatory in accordance with PB03-605-03p.8.4.
  • In the event of a fire, the tank may deform due to an increase in internal pressure. This leads to the destruction of the pipes supplying the water solution to the GPSS.

Device and principle of operation: (see picture below)
The inlet of the foam generator is located on the flange 3, to which the mortar pipeline of the stationary fire extinguishing system 6 is connected.
Installation and fastening of the foam generator on the tank is carried out using a mounting flange 2, which has an outlet closed by a cover 9, which is mounted on a hinge 10.
In front of the atomizer 8 there is a damper 11, which is one of the arms of a two-arm lever installed in the body of the foam generator 1 on a hinge 12.
The other end of this lever is connected by a hinge 13 to the fork 14. In addition, the two-arm lever is connected by a rope 15 to the handle 16 of the manual drive.
With its free end, the fork 14 is installed on the stop 17, fixed in the foam generator housing 1 with a bolt 18.
The rod 19 is connected with its ends to the cover 9 and 20.
The cover 9 is drawn to the edge of the outlet of the foam generator by the rod 19 due to the force generated by the rotation of the nut 21 along the thread of the stud 20. In this case, the nut 21 rests against the fork 14 with its end surface. foam generator, is fixed on the stud 20 with a lock nut 22.
The limiter 23 of the opening angle of the cover 9 is attached to the pin 20 and the rod 19.
The second end of the limiter 23 is bolted to the upper part of the body.
To protect the lever system of the foam generator from breakage, the plug 14 is fixed (only for the period of transportation) with wire 24.
The description of the initial position of the lever system and cover 9 corresponds to the standby mode of operation of the foam generator installed on the tank.
To use a stationary medium expansion foam generator in operating mode (during fire fighting), a foam concentrate solution under pressure is supplied to the generator.
By the pressure of the jet from the sprayer 2, the damper 11 rotates around the hinge axis 12 and removes the fork 14 from the stop 17.
Under the action of the initial tension of the rod 19 and the rotation of the damper 11, the fork 14 rotates around the axis of the hinge 13 and disengages from the nut 21. In this case, the tension of the rod 19 disappears and under the pressure of the jet of the foam solution, the cover 9 rotates around the axis of the hinge 10 at an angle of about 90 ° and opens the outlet of the foam generator.
The atomizer 2 forms a jet of the foaming agent solution in the form of a torch falling on the surface of the cassette 3.
The mesh surface of the cassette 3 contributes to the formation of many foam bubbles due to the injection of air through the intake hole in the lower part of the GPSS-600 foam generator housing.
The foam created in this way is directed to the gas-air space of the tank to extinguish the fire.
