7. In order to unmount the image, you need to right-click on the virtual drive and select “unmount”. 
How to create a disk image in daemon tools lite

Select the folder in which the disk image file will be saved.

In the Drive tab, do not forget to specify the drive type. The default type is Data Disc; it is suitable for discs with games or programs. For example, for video discs you need to select the DVD-Video type.
Upon completion, the created disk image will be displayed in the Daemon Tools image directory. If necessary, the disk image can be immediately written to a disc, for example, to create a complete copy of the disk. Select a disk image from the directory, then menu File – Write image... and indicate the drive to write to, as well as the write speed. In this case, the path to the image file should already be displayed, otherwise you will need to specify it in the field of the same name. Burning the disc will take some time, and it is better not to perform any actions until it is written. During recording, a status somewhat reminiscent of Nero is displayed.

How to mount an image with Quick Mount option in new DAEMON Tools Lite
DAEMON Tools Lite 5 introduces a new way to mount disc images. It becomes much easier and handier! Let me remind you how DAEMON Tools Lite worked previously. To mount ISO images, you had to perform two steps: create a virtual device first and mount it with a selected file then.
Now everything is pretty simple, cause DAEMON Tools Lite does the whole work. You choose an image to mount and the application creates and emulates a virtual drive. Just mount ISO images and forget about the details!
Let's see how to mount with DAEMON Tools Lite 5.
Any person who spends a lot of time at the computer will sooner or later come across files with the .iso extension. Roughly speaking, these files are archives, and they all contain other files you need. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to open them using a regular archiver such as WinRAR or Hamster. Moreover, often they do not need to be opened at all, but mounted. This article will outline how to mount an image in Daemon Tools.
Using a gadget

Using a disk image file
If for some reason you have not installed the gadget from Daemon Tools and you do not know where to download it, you can use the second method. It involves mounting a virtual drive using a disk image file. Perhaps these words mean nothing to many, so let’s move on to specifics.
During installation of the program, you were asked (if you performed a custom installation) which files should be automatically opened using our program; among the huge list, you had to specify the .iso extension. If you did exactly this, great, otherwise, no big deal, everything can be fixed.
Here's what you need to do:
- Open "My Computer" ("File Explorer").
- Go to the folder where the .iso file is located.
- Click on it twice (if you selected the necessary items during installation).
- Or right-click on it and in the menu that opens, click “Open with...”.
- In the window that appears, select our program.
- Click OK.

Using the program itself
This method shows how to mount an image in Daemon Tools, and it involves launching the program itself.
